@KitKatKit I know it seems to be going so quick! Scary!

@Firsttimemummybear Congratulations and welcome. I'm unsure if things will change, but hopefully restrictions will start to ease.

@justtb Hope your ok, see it as a positive. I find my bump is more / less prominent depending on what I have been doing / eating. Hope your scan comes around quickly.

DressingGown87 · 05/06/2020 19:39

@1990shopefulftm They are blocked on my social media, I assume it was a mutual friend who told them I was expecting. Think I'm just having one of them days where I wished I never bothered, blocked them on whatsapp etc now too.

roarfeckingroar · 05/06/2020 20:34

Oh sweet Jesus what a nightmare @DressingGown87 . Don't engage. Gosh I feel sorry for her. I told my friend tonight; it was tough and he was kind and I cried loads and feel really weirdly guilty and strange now.

@Flora20 I'm absolutely giving up bras now. I shall swing free, nipples out and proud.

Guys I'm not sure if you remember but my partner proposed at the end of March. My ring is finally ready and here and he gave it to me tonight and I LOVE it!!!

@roarfeckingroar Your ring is GORGEOUS! Also I'm totally team bra-less I just have a few strategically placed thin scarves which preserve my modesty!!

@DressingGown87 the time is going sooo fast. I'm so sorry you're getting all these issues from sharing such happy news. People are weird sometimes and they just can't be happy for someone else if they're miserable themselves! You come across as someone who is so lovely and totally has their shit together - so in the nicest way possible, screw the haters Grin

@justtb I missed your post earlier, so sorry you're feeling this way. If it makes you feel any better I'm 20+4 and haven't felt pregnant for about 4 weeks now (and had a scan at 16 and 20 weeks, all okay thankfully). I still haven't felt movements either, and my bump doesn't really look bumpy (I shared a photo yesterday). You're totally reasonable to be worried, but I am sending you all the positive vibes and strength to get through the next few days before your scan. Big hug!

Mc3209 · 05/06/2020 21:02

@justtb Many hugs your way, hun. Pregnancy is such an anxious time, and not knowing what's going on 'in there' is tough. What helped me is to force myself to think that everything is fine unless I am told otherwise. Hang in there, it will get better.

@DressingGown87 Goodness me, what a stress. I would just cross them out completely and ignore, you don't need that pain in your life.

I've deleted my social media accounts a while back, and never looked back. The only social media type thing I still have is Pinterest.

@DressingGown87 Some people just can't help but try to stir things up, at least in these days of technology you can just block them! Don't let them get to you 🙂

@roarfeckingroar Gorgeous ring, I love it! Congrats again x

Mc3209 · 05/06/2020 21:08

@roarfeckingroar the ring is beautiful! He's done well! Did you have an input into ring design or did he do it all himself?

Sorry to hear those getting stress from sharing something so positive, such a shame people feel the need to have a say on your life. I dislike social media a lot of the time so I don't have much of a presence. I didnt really want to share anything but DH wanted to so he just shared it on his.

@justtb hope you feel better soon, you definitely do look pregnant in your photos. I've been worrying today thinking my bump is smaller but probably just less bloat. Wish I would feel something definite from him too!

That's a beautiful ring @roarfeckingroar.

DressingGown87 · 05/06/2020 22:19

@roarfeckingroar That ring is beautiful! Congratulations again.

Thank you all! Don’t think the hormones help the crying. I’m not a big social Media fan, never really puts personal things, guess I was just wanting to share my news and be happy. Just know how it feels to feel like you couldn’t have a child, and wouldn’t wish that on anyone (even someone I don’t like). But I’m glad I’m no longer with someone, who can make someone feel that way.

Hello ladies, I went in for my routine two weekly appointment with my diabetes team & also for a midwife checks.

They thought I was measuring bigger than I should & worried it could be due to my GDM. Hearbeat sounded strange too. And my bp been slightly high for a week now.

Well, I was sent upstairs for an urgent scan & the sonographer said "Oh hun, You have no clue you are having two babies, do you?"

I couldn't drive home cos of the shock. I sat in my car for 2hours trying to get off the shock.

Twins!!!

6weeks scan - one baby

8weeks scan - one baby

12weeks scan - one baby

19weeks scan - Two babies

My family & I are really excited.

We are finding out genders together on my 20wks scan othe 18th. And they are letting DH come along.

I just thought i'd share the exciting news with you.

Cheers!

Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt · 06/06/2020 09:58

Clalou83 · 06/06/2020 10:35

SamK93 · 06/06/2020 11:37

Congratulations @UpsyDaisy1234 what a shock that must have been!x

roarfeckingroar · 06/06/2020 12:26

Thank you! I love it. @Mc3209 all his own work.

@DressingGown87 he sounds awful. So he definitely has had the snip and he's lying to this poor woman, whose family is having a go at you? Christ alive, how do these men exist?! How are they allowed to continue to exist?!

roarfeckingroar · 06/06/2020 12:27

@UpsyDaisy1234 OH WOW! That's crazy / congratulations!!

SamK93 · 06/06/2020 21:12

Hope everyone's okay, I don't know if I'm the only one feeling like this but I didn't really have much sickness or nausea in the first trimester, now I'm 19 weeks in the last few days I suddenly just feel soo nauseous, I just feel sick all the time from when I wake up in the morning, the smell of food, the thought of eating and if I do eat I feel sick straight after. I'm scared of going to sleep or lying down because I don't want to be sick, if I am sick I'm heaving and nothing's coming out. I feel awful! I have coeliac disease so I thought I might have had something with gluten in it but i don't think I have and I never feel like this. I'm sick of being sick, tried all the home remedies and nothing helps. Any advice would be great please x

Freddie1987 · 06/06/2020 22:55

@UpsyDaisy1234 no way!! That's crazy because my midwife friend was joking with me after my scan 'so they didn't find a hidden twin then' and I laughed it off saying don't be ridiculous 😳 congratulations!! What an amazing story to tell.

@roarfeckingroar that's a beaut of a ring, so nice to be able to finally wear it 😊

Glooorb · 06/06/2020 23:01

@UpsyDaisy1234 what a lovely lovely surprise! I wonder how often this happens - seems like a super rare occurrence to me. Congratulations x 2 ❤️

UpsyDaisy1234 · 07/06/2020 00:11

Thanks everyone.

It was indeed a huge surprise, but one that we are really excited about. It's overwhelming.

We've started listing all the things that we're going to change & all things we need an extra or double of now that we were expecting not one baby but two. Every aspect of our life is about to change the more.

Our twin babies have separate placentas so they are non-identical. One twin was measuring 4days early than the other. But everything was ok with the scan.
We hope to find out their genders soon.

My son wants a litttle brother & my daughter wants a little sister...we will see.
