Anyone awaiting arrival of their baby?

Hi,

My baby is due next Wednesday 8th April. Is anyone awaiting there little bundle to arrive around the same time?

Also how you feeling about the virus at such an special time for us

Feeling excited and nervous. Trying to stay away from these post is about birthing partners. I know the rules at my hospital direct from
My hospital so trying to make peace with that. Currently at the hospital waiting for a hopefully a sweep. Just about got my head round the fact that none of my family will get to meet him for a while

Yeah I am aware of the birthing partner situation are my hospital so like you said I'm trying to not read about it too much. I'm gutted that my friends and family cant see her once she arrives.

I'm due April 18th so wee bit behind you guys. Number 4 though hoping he comes soon with everything going on. Have a sweep on Thursday and hoping it will work. Think we all just want them out and safe at this point xx

I'm due tomorrow, getting stressed as baby was 7lbs 4 weeks ago. Have another growth scan on Thursday and feel like if she hasn't arrived shes going to be huge 🙈

Same as me @csmw was measuring 7lb at 36 weeks all the rest of mine where all around 7and half pound born at due date that's why they have agreed to sweep. Currently scrubbing the house hoping it's a good sign lol xx

Am due on 21st April I have growth scan tomorrow as his belly is measuring big he weighed 5lb 7oz 3 weeks ago so he is going to be a big baby am hoping I go sooner rather than later xx

This is my second little one, and she was weighing 6lbs 10 2 weeks ago I have another scan next Monday as her leg measurement dropped slightly so they was wanting to check that if I've not had her. Secretly hoping she will be here by then. I've already scrubbed my house lol there is nothing left to clean, all baby things have been built and are in place. So I have literally nothing to do but sit and wait. Xxx

The big baby crew 🙈 I'm only having growth scans as my 1st was small at 5lb 14oz he's 19. My 15 month old was 9lb 3oz so a whopper. I'm really nervous if they say anything around the 9lb mark and there doesn't look like any movement towards labour I think I may ask for an induction, not sure they would allow it in the current circumstances.

I’ve had sweep today was useless. Cervix high and unfavourable. Induction booked for Monday

Is it your first @Whatelsecouldibecalled? If it is you could be unfavorable today and still go into labour tomorrow my cervix didn't do anything with my first til labour. @csmw I'm terrified of a big baby now my biggest was 7lb 7 plus got more newborn things in hospital bag than anything else

Yes it was but she said it was so high up nothing would happen. They haven’t booked another one

@nicciw87 I've had to have growth scans as they was classibg my 1st girl small and she was 7lbs 4 born. At my last growth scan the lady said at full term she would say 8lbs born. Hoping I dont go over, but no signs of labour as of yet.

Hi can I join? I am 40+3. 1st time mum (baby boy). My baby also looking like it could be big. Sweep booked for Wednesday. No signs of labour yet so am playing the waiting game. Good luck everyone

I'm due my first on 16th April, feeling sooo scared and exhausted atm with everything going on me and my fiancée wanted this baby for so long and this isn't how we imagined it at all (obviously)!

37+4 today, I'm hoping little man decides to come early before things have a chance to get worse!

Becca3210 of course you can join. Hope your sweep works and you little boy doesn't keep you waiting too much longer. I had a sweep with my first in my due date and it worked for me so fingers crossed for you.

Thx @Sgeld122. That's good you are getting a scan. They suggested I went for one as my bump measurement had accelerated but then decided wasn't vital as coming soon... so hopefully not a problem but a bit unnerving. Aw don't worry @mamaAJ a few girls from my NCT class have given birth in the last week and all said that the hospitals are trying to keep it as normal as possible so we will get through this!

Nope been for a walk and spent most of it thinking I would pee myself. Got in and have a very unsatisfactory wee. Been bouncing on the ball since

Nope me either went for a walk yesterday and felt the same. Went toilet just before we set off and no more than 15 mins into our walk I needed toilet lol.

Also been walking and bouncing but no signs! Going to do the same today. Got sweep this afternoon. Fingers crossed we get some signs!

Good luck becca3210, I'm hoping my midwife will give me a sweep tomorrow but no holding my breath.

I'm due end of the month, but booked induction for 22nd. Have a sweep booked at the hospital for the 15th and maybe will get induced earlier.
I hope baby makes an appearance earlier. He's already 7lb and head is over 99 percentile.
Hopefully natural methods will work for me. This is my 4th baby.
