Anyone awaiting arrival of their baby?

My baby is due next Wednesday 8th April. Is anyone awaiting there little bundle to arrive around the same time?

Also how you feeling about the virus at such an special time for us

Due on the 6th April.

I have so much left to do ahhh! I will probably be busy everyday until baby comes sorting through lots and cleaning.

Have sweep booked for 9th April, fingers crossed this works and I have him by next weekend.

Excited to have him but worried about actually going into hospital and being exposed. Can’t be avoided though.

38 weeks tomorrow with 1st child. I just want him out now haha, every twinge I over obsess about hahaha.

Same about the birthing partners situation, I know what it is at our hospital so am relaxed that they are keeping us up to date and am largely staying away from threads about it.

Hope you guys are going well! I have a midwife app tomorrow am and am going to beg for a sweep hahaha, I know it's a long shot but no harm in asking

How are we all doing?
Ladies who have had sweeps done have they worked for you?
Just waiting for my midwife to do a home visit and hoping to get a sweep done.

I had a sweep on Monday. Cervix was so high and thick it did nothing 😫😫

Well my midwife wouldn't do one as it's my 2and baby so I don't get one now until 41 weeks

I had one at 39+2 which I think is early but it’s an ivf pregnancy. I’m due on Saturday and induction booked for Monday

Good luck everyone. Is frustrating waiting. Sweep not done anything yet but didn't expect it to as cervix still closed so she could only massage around it. Got another booked for Wednesday if not here before then.

I have a sweep tomorrow I'll be 40+3 and then have an induction booked for Tuesday. Had a growth scan today and baby is weighing 9lb 5oz so bricking it :(

Hope you don't mind me joining! Due 19th April and so ready for him to come right now, I have 38 week appointment next Wednesday and would love a sweep doubt will happen though 😂 heart burn is horrendous throughout the night at the minute

@Marshy86 i am due 24th april, got some Omeprozole last week and havent had a minute of heartburn since, it was keeping me awake at night too. Get some!
We’ve got enough issues Right now without heartburn adding to it

Anybody else dread sleeping at this point?

My hips and pelvis hurt so much I struggle to turn over and move! It takes me about 30 minutes to get up and moving in the mornings now.

I spend everyday cleaning and sorting, trying to hurry baby but I think he’s going to be one of these babies that is quite happy until forced out!

Yep. Shit night last night. Fell asleep
At 3am. Woke at 6am hips feeling crushed legs aching. Got up. Went back to bed at 9am then woke at 12pm feeling rotten

Your post actually made me laugh. That has been my normal routine for the last week.

God, I do not remember pregnancy being this shit last time.

I keep getting excited knowing that in a maximum of two and a half weeks I won’t be pregnant any more Woooooo.

Although right now I cannot see an end in sight, positive vibes are only fleeting at this point.

I’ll be honest I have enjoyed my pregnancy. It took a long time to get pregnant and ivf so I have tried to embrace every part of it. I just didn’t know the sleep thing would affect me like this. I’m usually a good solid 9hr
Person. At first I was awake in the night with night sweats due to all the drugs. Then slept quite well due to exhaustion but since about 26/27 weeks sleep has been shit. I’ve felt surprisingly ok. Some nights worse than others. I’m sick of people telling me to sleep before the baby comes. I wish I could!! Perhaps this is just good practise?

@Sgeld122 had my sweep at 4pm yesterday only 38 weeks tomorrow but begged for one due to SPD and everything going on right now. Did one cervix and babys head still high dilated to 1cm just did the sweep. This morning have lost massive bits of mucus plug but no pains or anything else so don't think it will be successful

I did have a lot of problems with my pelvis but this has improved with the mountain of pillows I'm currently using. However I told my husband I feel like a beeched whale when turning over so he has now nicknamed me shamu. I keep getting a dead leg though if I sleep on my left side to long. I am also over the 90th percentile line on size of my bump and I am sick of the "is it twins" or "he's going to be a big one" the one benefit of isolation I don't get asked this daily any more

Ahh I'm gutted that they wouldnt give me one. I hope that it works for you.

I've had back ache and slight period pains so hoping something is happening. Got a scan on Monday so see what happens.

My normal consultant usually won't til 40 weeks so I asked for a different one who would

@Sgeld122 no harm in asking especially with everything going on atm I just said I want him out sooner than later

Well, I've just recieved a phone call from consultant at the hospital. She has told my to go to my scan as planned Monday, I'll have my scan, see midwife for blood pressure and check my wee and they will do me a sweep. So fingers crossed she will be here next week. Xxx

Awww came on hoping for news of babies 😆
Anyone struggling to get comfortable? I have something hard right under my rib, hoping it's bum or feet rather than head as baby was head down when I saw the midwife earlier in the week!
Lockdown is feeling looooooong. I'm sure it won't be once baby arrives if it's still happening in 5 weeks
