Replying to everyone in a new thread as the old one is full! Also tagging @Lemonysherbet @ELW85 @MrsH497 @LokiCat @larrydavid - so sorry if I’m forgetting anyone!

@MrsR16 It’s so weird, I was thinking back to getting my BFP for the twins the other day - some days it feels like yesterday but others it feels like a lifetime ago! I bet now Ethans here the pregnancy also feels like a distant memory!!

@TrashKitten10 Ah thanks lovely - wow a 9 pounder!! Well done you! I will definitely let everyone know as soon as I can once the twins are here :)

@PippaPug Thanks lovely! How are you feeling at the moment? Funnily enough they don’t do the steroid injections at my hospital if you’re going to deliver post 37 weeks so I’ve managed to swerve that one - how have you found them? Hurray for big babies - looks like we’re both going to have some chunky twins on our hands!! Do you find you are constantly congratulated at hospital for keeping them in so long/growing them so big?! I get it every time!

@Fivebyfive2 Joe is adorable! How was your first night away?

@thumper59 12 weeks! He is so so cute and I LOVE the matching jackets haha!

@purplefig Ugh the first lie in didn’t go to plan, I woke at 3 and couldn’t drift off again until 6... so glad it isn’t just us wobbling on names at the midnight hour! Yep ours will be Irish names - narrowing it right down and making it even harder for ourselves!! Hope you enjoyed your last yoga class!

Had a scare this morning; after a shocking night trying to sleep I woke quite late (well, around 9) - twin 2 dancing the jig as always but couldn’t feel twin 1 at all. I tried absolutely everything, I must have had a full litre of orange juice, chocolate, prodding at his side of my belly and I just got nothing. I called DH at 11 and just broke down, and we were soon off to triage. I literally cried all the way there! We had a CTG and as much as she struggled to find twin 1, he’s there and heart is pounding away. She told me he’s very low now, and position wise twin 2 is actually almost sitting on top of him so masking some of the stronger movements. The little swines! I’m so relieved, but it was horrible - I was terrified. Tracking twin movements is such a minefield!!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend :)

Hi ladies 😊

@purplefig sorry to hear you had a rough start, but great that you're feeling back to normal. How are you and M getting on?

@PippaPug they're so adorable 🥰 glad to hear you're doing well!
I'm okay thank you, starting to get quite uncomfortable so hoping that she makes an appearance soon!
Thank you so much 😁 would love to see your penguin themed nursery!!

@Lemonysherbet sorry to hear about work, but it's great you're feeling a lot stronger now. How is everything going?

@FlapJackered are your migraines any better? I used to get intense headaches/dizzy feelings if I wasn't eating/drinking enough or just constantly on the go. Not sure if it was my body's way of telling me to slow down (which still took me a while, as I wasn't used to it).

38+2 weeks today! Can't believe how fast time is still flying. A part of me thought it would feel really slow because of the lockdown.
Lost a lot of my mucus plug this morning and still seeing bits when I wipe, but no other signs of labour, just a few cramps here and there. Hopefully this means something will start soon. I'm just so ready for her to be here now!!

Hope you're all getting on okay during this weird time 💕

ELW85 · 10/04/2020 12:43

Afternoon all!

Sorry for the long absence; Finlay is going to be two weeks tomorrow and after ending up back in hospital for a couple of nights because of feeding issues, I can finally say we're getting into a little routine as a family!
How are we all doing? Have I missed anything? It's such a weird time to start your journey as a family, but I hope we're all surviving lockdown and making the most of the time with the OHs before little ones arrive?
I have to say it massively changes the dynamic, but it will bring you closer together (than you'd ever think possible) when you work as a team. And sleep deprivation is very real. I promise it's all worth it though!

@Larrydavid - I hope you're feeling better? Happy to send you a PM about labour if you're still up for it?

@purplefig - thank you so much, lovely! I'll PM you now and join you on the next thread? :)

PippaPug · 10/04/2020 13:20

@Fivebyfive2 - Thank you for the link!
Joe looks a happy little chap in his chair, such a cutie!

@LokiCat - I took some photos for you earlier today, it’s not normally that tidy 😂 really not long for you now, I bet your so excited to finally meet her!
The penguins and stars are wall stickers but my DH painted them mountains - the bunting hanging from the shelves is from our wedding which I loved putting into the boys room!

@ELW85 - hope you and Finlay are well and your enjoying all those wonderful baby snuggles!

Back of the door are the boys penguin towels, personalised towels and their pram suits - penguins are everywhere 😂

@PippaPug I love your nursery!! The penguin wall stickers are so cute and the mountains go so well with it all!
So excited to finally meet her. I just hope time doesn't start dragging now I'm close to the end!!

@ELW85 can't believe he's already two weeks! Time flies! That's lovely you're in a routine now as a family. One good thing to come out of all this is a lot of family time together. I'm excited to get lots of time together just the 3 of us.
How are you finding feeding now? How are you doing, as well? Hope you're well 💕

Larrydavid · 14/04/2020 20:08

Hello ladies, I haven't been on here much - as I'm sure everyone else has been, I've been working through the cycle of mild panic/ acceptance of this lockdown situation. Hope you're all doing well?

I had a bit of a scary weekend - I was taken into hospital at 4am on Sunday morning via ambulance because I was heavily bleeding. Luckily they let my partner come to the hospital with me. The doctors think it is a low placenta issue (still) but I have a scan on Monday to confirm it's positioning. They let us home after about 6 hours as we live very close by. I had to go back in yesterday too though because I didn't feel any movement from the baby. Luckily all is ok for now, baby is kicking again today and the bleeding has stopped. I know the survival rate for the baby is 95% - which is good, I just desperately want it to stay inside for a bit longer and not be born into a london hospital right now. Feel a bit emotionally exhausted from the weekend so have taken it fairly easy today.

@PippaPug the penguin nursery looks amazing! Hope you're getting on ok!

@ELW85 hope all the feeding issues have resolved and you're enjoying life as a family of three. Thank you for sending through your birth story - you're basically superwoman xx

@LokiCat How are you getting on?? Hope all is going well for you and the baby has made an appearance!

@Fivebyfive2 Joe is gorgeous and so big already! 😍

@FlapJackered Good to hear the scan went well! How are you getting on? I had really bad headaches - probably between 12-20 weeks. Migraine head strips really helped me. Hope they're not too bad for you!

@Lemonysherbet How are you getting on? Hope your anxiety has gone. Are you 34 weeks now?

Sorry to anyone I've missed! Killing eve has just started xx

MrsH497 · 15/04/2020 08:28

Oh @Larrydavid that sounds so scary glad you and baby are ok though.

I've been an emotional rollercoaster they've closed the birthing centre where we wanted to have baby (it's opposite the labour ward) so now it's only the labour ward - they've got 4 rooms they've tried to make like the birth centre and still got 1 pool so just need to hope it's not a busy day when I have baby!

Went to hospital Thursday as baby had stopped being a wriggler and I was worried I had leaking amniotic fluid. Baby was fine and it was just discharge! They do like worrying us these babies

Hope everyone is doing ok x

Lemonysherbet · 15/04/2020 10:14

@Larrydavid I posted a long reply last night and clearly didn't actually hit post 🤦‍♀️ that must have been so scary for you, I'm glad you're doing ok. Hard enough with everything else going on without more worry. Let us know how the scan goes

FlapJackered · 15/04/2020 12:18

@Larrydavid poor you, that must have been terrifying. Not what you need at the moment. I am so glad everything is well though and baby is kicking away. It will be reassuring to have that scan on Monday anyway just to put any lingering worries out of your mind.

Headaches are still here 😩. They're horrible and paracetamol just doesn't touch them. How did you get any work done? My work is piling up as I am finding it so hard to concentrate.

@MrsH497 sorry to hear you have had a worrying time too, it's so much better to get these things checked out though!
That's rubbish your birthing centre is closed, it's a crap time to be pregnant isn't it. I am sure the hospital birth centre will be a good second though and at least you'll have the security of the hospital if you need it.

@PippaPug I ❤️ your nursery! I wish I had a room to decorate but until we move house the baby is going to have to share with my DH's office 😬. We'll see how that works out! 😂 I will just have to save ideas for the new house!

@ELW85 so glad to hear all is going well now, despite the sleep deprivation!

@LokiCat it sounds like your body is starting to get ready! Very exciting!
Headaches are still here. Not enjoy this part of pregnancy one bit, I could kind of handle the nausea but the headaches have just knocked my sideways.

@Fivebyfive2 joe is just gorgeous 😍 and he has grown so much! X

Lemonysherbet · 17/04/2020 11:25

@Larrydavid how are you doing now?

@lokicat not long left for you! How are you feeling?

I just had a growth scan, baby is measuring big so I've got a 38 week and 40 week induction booked in. Also got another gtt booked for next week.
Slightly panicking but I'm going to start my positive birth co Digi pack today in the hope it calms me the f down!

Lemonysherbet · 17/04/2020 11:25

38 week sweep *

Larrydavid · 18/04/2020 23:17

@Lemonysherbet don't panic! Definitely do the positive birth company course. It's really helped me stay calm! How many weeks are you now?

I'm actually back in hospital, had another bad bleed a couple of days ago and they've kept me in. Almost had a c section on Thursday but then the bleeding stopped. The plan at the moment is to make it to 34 weeks. I hope I'll be allowed home soon. Luckily I live close by. It's all a bit scary but am trying to stay positive. It's definitely tough being at the hospital alone but I know it's for the right reasons.

@FlapJackered I struggled with the headaches. I work for myself so I just worked around them. Definitely try the cool strips - paracetamol didn't work for me either. But they helped! Hope you're feeling better!

@MrsH497 sorry you had a scare! Glad everything is ok for you. Baby's not wriggling is a real worry. Glad they reassured you! That's a shame about the birthing centre but I'm sure you'll have a good experience regardless!

Hope everyone else is getting on ok xx

Lemonysherbet · 19/04/2020 08:07

@Larrydavid oh I'm sorry to here you've had bleeding again. Do they know what's causing it? At least you're in the best place to be looked after. How many weeks are you at the moment?

I'm 34 weeks now, started the pbc pack and enjoying it. Also calmed down, think I struggled as I couldn't really understand the consultant (face mask and a thick accent) and couldn't really ask any questions but in seeing my midwife in a couole of weeks so I can bombard her with questions (never normally ask much she's going to be in for a shock!)

Larrydavid · 21/04/2020 14:25

@Lemonysherbet I'm back home now! I have a low lying placenta so have been told to prepare for another bleed, which may or may not require a c section. I was given lots of different advice at the hospital (I think everyone was understandably over stretched) so I came away quite confused (also very difficult to hear people from behind masks!) but have asked a doctor pal for some advice and feel a bit better now I'm home and have slept. I have an appointment next week to discuss c section in more detail with consultant. Hopefully baby will stay if until then! I'm 32 weeks.

Lemonysherbet · 21/04/2020 15:57

@Larrydavid oh I'm so glad you're home. I'm crossing everything that baby can stay put until you know more. You're lucky you have a doctor friend to ask, that must be really nice to chat it through with someone else. I know what you mean about the mixed messages, I find it overwhelming. Glad you and baby are ok :)

LokiCat · 21/04/2020 16:58

@Larrydavid glad to hear you're home! I hope you can clarify all the advice you've been given at your appointment next week and baby stays put!

@Lemonysherbet have you had your GTT appointment? Hopefully all will be okay. Glad the PBC pack has been helping you to calm down. I got very panicky when I first found out I had GD, but after asking questions and getting some more information helped me feel calmer about everything.

@FlapJackered hope your headaches have gotten better?

@MrsH497 sorry you've been having such an emotional time! I hope you're better now? Hopefully the birth centre set up in the hospital is just as relaxing.

40 weeks today! Can't believe my due date is here, it's gone sooo fast!
Had my first sweep. Midwife said i'm 2cm dilated and everything is looking very favourable. Been having a lot of contractions since getting back home, so hopefully she'll be here soon! Got a second sweep booked in for Thursday just in case, otherwise I'll be induced on Saturday (which I'm hoping to avoid).

Hope you're all doing okay! X

MrsH497 · 21/04/2020 17:30

@Larrydavid glad you're home now. Fingers crossed little one stays put and you have no more bleeding. Must be so worrying for you.

@LokiCat I'm doing ok, finish work next week (although I'm wfh already!) I'm so tired!! 36+2 and can't quite believe I'm 4 weeks away from due date not sure where that's gone!

Shameless bump pics attached!!

How's everyone doing with lockdown? X

Lemonysherbet · 22/04/2020 08:19

@PippaPug I meant to say your nursery is lovely! So well done :)

@LokiCat I had the bloods yesterday. They've changed the test so I only had one set and they can analyse the last 3 months blood sugar levels from that- so so clever! Should find out today. I'm hoping the peak of Easter and chocolate eating hasn't caused me any issues 😕 wow you're 49 weeks! That's suddenly come round quickly (for me anyway ) how are you feeling? Has the word we shall not name affected your birth plan much?

@MrsH497 your bump looks beautiful! How are you finding the third trimester?

Hope everyone else is doing ok :)

I'm enjoying being furloughed now. I fill my days with the pbc pack and puzzling, a brief walk and a potter in the garden. I'll never want to work again haha

ELW85 · 26/04/2020 16:24

Hi all!

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing? We’re just about getting to grips with a routine after a month!! Pic of little Finn attached - he’s grown so much!

Herjbr26 · 26/04/2020 16:26

Hi I was wondering if and looking for advice I started the pill about July 2018 - April/may 2019 I have had the first “fake period” that u get when u finish the pill then I went a while without the had one in June my prom. then I spotted in August and September I think and November I had brown discharge for 2/3 days then I had the same discharge 21-24th April but the first day it was pink then got a little red in it then went brown when I checked my knickers and have had nothing since then, is this normal? and any advice how to regulate/get my period back? I’m not pregnant as I took a test I just don’t fancy going to the doctor I have bad anxiety and don’t want to be getting needles and tested unless I really need to ! I was just seeing if you know anything to bring it back? Before I do end up having to book an appointment many thanks.

MrsH497 · 27/04/2020 11:04

Oh @ELW85 he's gorgeous!

37 weeks for me now and finish work this week! Eek!!

Bags are packed car seat is in and ready! Am I ready?! Nope! 😂

@Herjbr26 you may be best to start your own thread for that question. This is a quieter thread as we were all on a TTC thread together for a while but there aren't many of us left who are pregnant

PippaPug · 28/04/2020 17:07

@Lemonysherbet - my DH is furloughed atm and he is really enjoying it! He is seriously going to miss the twins when he goes back, whenever that is, make them most of being at home!

@ELW85 - He is beautiful!

@MrsH497 - Your Bump is beautiful! Not long joe for you I bet you can’t wait!

@LokiCat - Any news?!

@Larrydavid - How are you doing?

Wow it is very quiet on here now! Hope you are all staying safe and well right now ☺️

Larrydavid · 28/04/2020 17:20

Hey guys! Hope you're all doing well?

@ELW85 aww Finn is so beautiful. That little face 😍 glad you're getting into the swing of things. I can't believe a month has passed already! Really hope you're doing ok. Looks like you're doing a great job x

@Lemonysherbet how are you doing? Did you have your GTT appointment? Puzzling, pottering and walking sounds like the perfect way to fill these odd days. Have you made a birth plan yet? It looks very likely that I will have to have a c section - which I actually feel ok about because I prefer to have some kind of lose plan but I'm still doing the PBC pack. I'm finding it really useful. How are you finding it?

@LokiCat How are you doing? Is the baby still inside? Hope you're well! X

@MrsH497 What a beautiful bump pic! I'm doing ok on lockdown. Have struggled to concentrate on work and have been so so tired! But otherwise, pretty good! not long to go for you now! Are you excited? I packed most of my hospital bag (after I was last in hospital) - I still don't feel prepared at all!

So I have a vague plan with the hospital. After getting independent advice from a doctor friend (and some sleep!) I called my midwife and said I wasn't happy to wait til 37 weeks for my next scan as all the recommendations say that if my placenta hasn't moved, I may need a section by then. She agreed and referred me back to consultant care. I have another scan booked at 35 weeks. If my placenta has moved, I'm will consider an elective c section and if it hasn't moved, they'll book me in at that appointment for my planned c section. I'm keeping everything crossed that I don't have another big bleed between now and then but I have my hospital bag packed now just in case. My biggest fear is having a huge bleed during labour which is quite likely given my history over the last 6 weeks. I'm staying hopeful though that I won't go into labour and that I can stay away from hospital!

Hope you're all doing well! One of the best things about being pregnant has been decorating the nursery. I love being in there! ❤️

Larrydavid · 28/04/2020 17:21

@PippaPug crossposted! I'm good thanks. How are the twins? X
