Replying to everyone in a new thread as the old one is full! Also tagging @Lemonysherbet @ELW85 @MrsH497 @LokiCat @larrydavid - so sorry if I’m forgetting anyone!

@MrsR16 It’s so weird, I was thinking back to getting my BFP for the twins the other day - some days it feels like yesterday but others it feels like a lifetime ago! I bet now Ethans here the pregnancy also feels like a distant memory!!

@TrashKitten10 Ah thanks lovely - wow a 9 pounder!! Well done you! I will definitely let everyone know as soon as I can once the twins are here :)

@PippaPug Thanks lovely! How are you feeling at the moment? Funnily enough they don’t do the steroid injections at my hospital if you’re going to deliver post 37 weeks so I’ve managed to swerve that one - how have you found them? Hurray for big babies - looks like we’re both going to have some chunky twins on our hands!! Do you find you are constantly congratulated at hospital for keeping them in so long/growing them so big?! I get it every time!

@Fivebyfive2 Joe is adorable! How was your first night away?

@thumper59 12 weeks! He is so so cute and I LOVE the matching jackets haha!

@purplefig Ugh the first lie in didn’t go to plan, I woke at 3 and couldn’t drift off again until 6... so glad it isn’t just us wobbling on names at the midnight hour! Yep ours will be Irish names - narrowing it right down and making it even harder for ourselves!! Hope you enjoyed your last yoga class!

Had a scare this morning; after a shocking night trying to sleep I woke quite late (well, around 9) - twin 2 dancing the jig as always but couldn’t feel twin 1 at all. I tried absolutely everything, I must have had a full litre of orange juice, chocolate, prodding at his side of my belly and I just got nothing. I called DH at 11 and just broke down, and we were soon off to triage. I literally cried all the way there! We had a CTG and as much as she struggled to find twin 1, he’s there and heart is pounding away. She told me he’s very low now, and position wise twin 2 is actually almost sitting on top of him so masking some of the stronger movements. The little swines! I’m so relieved, but it was horrible - I was terrified. Tracking twin movements is such a minefield!!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend :)

@lemonysherbet thank you 😊😊

Grandparents have seen her - though from the other end of the garden. Its heartbreaking. She's nearly a month old and noone has touched her but Dad and I. I know they shouldn't have come over and people will think it bad but why is a grandparent seeing their first grandchild in a garden worse than standing in a queue for a garden centre with 50 strangers?!

So yes, they've seen her and checked in on me. Cant wait for the day they can have a cuddle but it won't be soon. X

Jessikka · 14/05/2020 12:20

@MrsH497 congratulations!! Beautiful picture! Hope you're OK!

Lemonysherbet · 14/05/2020 12:30

Oh yeh I'll be doing the same @jessika with my parents as he will be their first ever grandchild and I can't not let them see him even if from afar!

Lemonysherbet · 14/05/2020 12:31

@Jessikka even!

FlapJackered · 15/05/2020 22:08

Massive congratulations to you both @Jessikka @MrsH497 !!! ❤️❤️❤️

@MrsH497 She is absolutely gorgeous!!! 😍 well done!!

@thumper59 great to hear! 6 months! That is crazy how quickly that has gone!

@Lemonysherbet thanks lovely, sorry to hear you're suffering too. How many weeks are you now?

Lemonysherbet · 23/05/2020 10:24

@FlapJackered I'm 39 weeks today, can't believe I will have a baby soon! How are you doing?

@Larrydavid how are you getting on?

Larrydavid · 24/05/2020 15:10

Hey, sorry for my radio silence! This past week has been a bit of a whirlwind. We had a baby last Saturday. She's perfect but is still in intensive care but hopefully we can take her home this week!

After my 8th haemorrhage (my final 3 happened within 24 hours), I was taken in for an emergency c section on Saturday morning. Despite it happening fairly quickly, it all felt very calm. This past week has been a bit of a rollercoaster but we're all doing ok. So good to see the baby out of the incubator and off of wires and tubes etc. She's being treated for jaundice at the moment but is otherwise doing really well. Me and my partner haven't seen her together since just after theatre so we haven't named her yet!

@MrsH497 congratulations- she's beautiful!

@Lemonysherbet how are you doing??

@Larrydavid huge congratulations she's absolutely incredible 🥰 sounds like you went through a tough time of it but all worth it when you see that face! How are you feeling? Hopefully you get to bring her home soon.

I'm doing well thanks. Just a bit fed up of people texting me to see if he's arrived. Like id forget to tell them! Also feeling grumpy (can you tell!). I've got a sweep weds and then an induction booked for my due date in 6 days, still not sure how I feel about being induced!

CobaltRose96 · 24/05/2020 19:04

Hi all! Been so busy with uni and life that I’ve not posted for a while! But my gorgeous rainbow baby Scarlett is now 14.5 months old! So not really a baby anymore 😭 It’s amazing how fast she’s developing and she seems to learn a new word every week! It’s gone far far too quick ❤️

Larrydavid · 09/06/2020 18:16

@Lemonysherbet hey hey, how are you doing?? I'm well. She came home after 11days. So lovely to have her home! I don't want to be one of those annoying people who keep asking if you've had a baby but equally thought it could easily have happened by now if you were induced! Let me know! And sorry for my slow reply xx

@CobaltRose96 she's so gorgeous! 😍

Lemonysherbet · 09/06/2020 19:41

@Larrydavid oh I'm so glad you're home. How are you getting on?

I have ndeed had him, meet Jack, born 31/5 weighing in at 10lbs!

We had an interesting labour, resulting in quite a severe forceps delivery. Ended up staying in 5 days in total as jack was quite poorly and bruised and then got an infection. Was really hard without my husband to help with aftercare but the staff were incredible. Weirdly I miss being there.

FlapJackered · 01/07/2020 21:51

SO lovely to hear from you all @MrsEG @Lemonysherbet @MrsR16 ❤️
I am feeling good at the moment actually, although had a really busy day at work today so was sitting for 90% of the day and now my legs are in agony and just looked at my ankles and they have disappeared they are so swollen!! 🙈 Did any of you have this?

I would LOVE to come and join you on the other thread, but I might wait until I am safety into the third trimester just not to tempt fate. 😬
I have been on now and then to see your gorgeous bubs! 😍

Lemonysherbet · 02/07/2020 04:57

@FlapJackered that's a good idea.

I didn't have swelling during pregnancy but I had it really badly after the birth for a week. It felt like I was wearing flippers when I walked up stairs and I couldn't get my feet in any shoes. Was fun leaving the hospital 😳

You can ease it by elevating your feet, drinking a lot of water and moving about.

MrsEG · 02/07/2020 06:54

@FlapJackered yes, I had it terribly - I’ll see if I have an old pic! I don’t think heat helps either. As @lemonysherbet says keep legs elevated as much as you can, I found compression socks were very very useful too. And big shoes!!! I was only able to wear my husbands walking boots in my last few weeks!
So so pleased to hear you’re feeling good - I can’t believe how fast that time has gone! When are you due?

FlapJackered · 03/07/2020 08:32

Thanks @Lemonysherbet I will try that!
@MrsEG ow that looks really painful! You poor thing! Luckily it was just my ankles this time but that was bad enough! I have some compression socks so will try that next time too.
They have been ok today but I think it's probably because I have been moving about lots - it's hard to move around when I need to work though 🙈.

I am due 7th October so a way to go still, although I am sure it will fly by. 😬

@MrsEG How are the twins doing? How old are they now?

LikeTheFruit · 05/10/2020 12:50

@FlapJackered thinking if you as you approach due date! How are you?
