Placemarking as well! We're off for an Indian lunch with friends shortly so maybe that will get things moving or may just be wishful thinking! Congrats to the new babies born and good luck to those who have inductions coming up!!

Checking into the new thread 😊 have a good weekend everyone!

userabcname · 12/10/2019 13:54

Congratulations @MrsNotNice - I hope you and dd are recovering well

userabcname · 12/10/2019 13:57

Thanks for the new thread @HJWT!
Currently lying down - have had visual disturbance all morning so rang assessment unit who told me to take a nap and ring back later as I have no other symptoms and home bp monitor is showing that bp is fine. Had a nap and have woken up to no visual disturbance but a very uncomfortable stomach! If it's not one thing it's another! Hoping I don't have to go in and can make it to Monday morning without anything too eventful happening.

YorkshireIndie · 12/10/2019 14:50

Placemarking!

Frizzy1986 · 12/10/2019 15:46

Marking my place.

@mrsnotnice congratulations and I hope thay although the birth was traumatic for you both, things improve and you are able to get answers to any questions you may have about what happened. Sending lots of love for a good recovery moving forward.

Looking forward to hearing more baby news.
I'm feeling much better now I am home but have had a headache since yesterday. Think it's more from the fact that I am catching up on fluids as didn't get anything to drink while waiting in hospital.
It's lovely having my sister here even if it's only for about 12 hours.

Em39ma · 12/10/2019 16:50

We are checking in.
But also wanted to let you know we are back in hospital.
I’m a bit of wreck, which isn’t like me. Isobel has now lost 13.5% of her birth weight. She now has jaundice and needs extra feeds and topping up.
The hospital are being brilliant, but being day 5 today is all little bit much.
Hope everyone else is ok.

HJWT · 12/10/2019 16:50

Im starting to get a bit nervous now! Think I will cry tomorrow when they drop me of 😂 just can't wait for it all to be done and I can come home 😆 x

@Em39ma please stay strong and positive. That's exactly what happened to my dd. She lost 13% and was in hospital with jaundice for 24hrs under blue lights. It was hard as it was around day 5 for us too.
If you want to keep breastfeeding then keep at it. I would wake dd every 90 mins for a feed, stripping her to her nappy, blowing on her face, whatever woke her. I also expressed using the hospital pump to encourage my supply.
It was rough, I won't lie, but I made it through. I carried on breastfeeding until she was 11 months old with support from the breastfeeding team. She is now a thriving 5 year old. Sending lots of love and thoughts. You are doing an amazing job and don't ever feel otherwise!!

Jojo7979 · 12/10/2019 19:21

pkacemarking as well

cattaxi · 12/10/2019 19:55

How is everyone tonight? I’m sore and crampy. Had a busy day of cleaning & sorting the last of the baby stuff. We finished with a trundle in the fields to collect some leaves for Halloween decorations. We also got a good glut of late blackberries, which I will make into flapjacks to encourage my milk for next week.

Indian lunch sounds gorgeous @secretlyhermione! I hope the spices encourage things along for you.

Hope you are feeling better tonight @KatnissK? I’m also hoping to get to Monday without anything happening. Definitely having some cramping & niggles. Fingers crossed they don’t turn into anything more!

Glad you are home and feeling better @Frizzy1986. Definitely get those fluids down you.

Hope you are ok @Em39ma. It’s great that the hospital are being helpful. Hopefully you’ll get sorted ASAP. Sending lots of positive thoughts 💐

userabcname · 12/10/2019 20:05

@Em99ma that sounds really tough. Hope you're doing ok. It's really stressful establishing feeding and I hope it all gets better quickly for you.

@cattaxi no more visual disturbances but lots of BH / cramps - have emptied my bowels about 5 times this afternoon/ evening. Getting a bit sick of being in the bathroom! Nothing consistent or strong though so it's hopefully just 3rd trimester niggles rather than anything kicking off!

@HJWT lots of luck for tomorrow - it is so nerve-wracking but hopefully will be a smooth process for you!

newbabyyy2019 · 12/10/2019 20:22

Hello everyone, thought I would check in to see how everyone's doing. Had a quick skim through the previous thread and so many have had babies since I had mine!! It's going so fast, Romy is already two and a half weeks old now and it's been the best weeks of our lives! It's hard work don't get me wrong but it's so incredible the amount of love I have for this little human that I have created! I can't wait for you all to experience this once you all have yours!!
@Em39ma I've been having a similar situation to you. Romy lost 10.5 % of her birth weight and the midwives came round every single day to recheck her weight and said we would be admitted to hospital if she didn't gain more weight. We realised she wasn't getting enough milk from me so began topping her up after each breastfeed with some formula and she's now back to her birth weight. We're now slowly taking her off the formula and I'm breastfeeding her more regularly to keep her weight up. Hopefully your little one will start gaining more weight! hope you're okay!!

newbabyyy2019 · 12/10/2019 20:24

@Em39ma Also thought I'd add that Romy had jaundice too and we made sure to keep her near the window because the midwife said daylight is the best thing for the jaundice and it's now gone xx

Figuringitout · 12/10/2019 20:34

Thanks for the new thread and good luck for tomorrow @HJWT. Looking forward to hearing your news.
@Em39ma - sounds really tough, but you are in the right place and hopefully Isobel will get better quickly and you will both be back home very soon.
@Frizzy1986 - glad you are back home. Make sure you have a very quiet weekend.
Hopefully this week will bring lots more gorgeous newborns and relief that the 9 long months is finally over!!

Frizzy1986 · 12/10/2019 20:52

I've just been reminded by dh that he is out for the day tomorrow gaming with his friends. Omg first day solo with 2 children. I'm not sure I'm ready at all.
I'm thinking watching strictly in bed with dd is acceptable.

cattaxi · 12/10/2019 22:13

Glad you are feeling better @KatnissK. I’ve been on the loo loads today. Hoping it’s nerves about Monday & not a sign anything is kicking off!

@newbabyyy2019 lovely to hear from you. Glad it’s all going well.

Good luck tomorrow @frizzy1986. I’m sure you will rock it. And a big fat yes to as much tv in bed as you can get!

If laughter kicks labour off, then I’m in for it tonight. Dn has been over for the evening & I’ve been in stitches watching her and our teenager doing dance moves & playing pranks on their mates. I’ve had to pee a million times from them making me giggle 😂

Em39ma · 12/10/2019 23:09

All a bit confusing here. Her levels are now way down into prefect range.
There not sure how they can go from being so off to perfect in 6 hours.
Going to keep us still for the night and see how we are in the morning
