Hoping you're all having a restful night. Sorry to hear of the issues with some of our new babies! Sometimes hospital is the best place so people can look after you!

I have a sweep on Monday and I'm feeling so desperate for baby to be here I think I'm putting myself off 😏

@cattaxi I was having some pains last night, I thought oh god he is going to come in the night 😂 but Nope! He is still in there, just hope it means he is more than ready to come and will be here by tomorrow morning!

@Em39ma hope you are both ok and home soon enough.

I had a rough night of constant tightenings and cramps and lots of wind! But the cramps don’t turn into anything or get painful. Dont remember this in other pregnancies. I’m due tomorrow and just want it to happen now.
Hate feeling like I’m moaning but I’m so tired.

The only symptoms I have are some mild cramps now and then and feeling like my pelvis will cave in at any moment, but other then that, baby is moving a lot and seems very comfortable in there! Have told mysef I need to stop obsessing and just live each day and baby will come when baby is ready. Due date is on Thursday and I have a visit the day after so lets see what happens up until then.
Lots of messages coming in with people asking how I'm feeling and if baby has come yet. It's quite sweet and nice that people are so curious but it's like of course I will let you know once baby is here!!
Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday either snuggling your newborns or enjoying the (hopefully) last few days/weeks of pregnancy!

Good luck @HJWT at least you've made it to today so know you can casually make your way in and not have to worry about rushing in with all the traffic around there lately.

Hope all the cramps happening for people are getting you ready for it all. Remember, I just had the odd cramp every day for about a week which didn't turn into anything and then suddenly it kicked off.

Thanks everyone🥰 they have put the gel in but my cervix is quite far back, soft & 1CM dilated so I just hope the gel works and I don't need a second lot 🤷🏻‍♀️ x

Hi ladies. We are still recovering. We were sent back home on Thursday so just a day after she was born and I’ve been sent around many clinics and appointments since. I’m quite surprised as I assumed mother’s can’t be walking around just two days after delivery in this weather with a 2 day old. But so far we are pulling through.

She also has jaundice so I’m trying to feed her as often as possible.

Thanks everyone for your congratulations. I pray my little baby regains her strength. I just wanted to share how my baby was facing during labour which makes me wonder now how she felt at every time I bent forward and how much pressure was on her neck and Back. I feel so guilty wish I realised how uncomfortable she is because now I know why I felt the little foot stamping against my belly button and why there was such a gap between belly button and pelvic bone. I feel like I asked for a scan confirmation of position so many times but was told it wasn’t necessary in the last minute.. I wish I listened to my gut and refused to have a no. My poor baby must have back pain and neck pain and I hope her hyper-flexed next didn’t cause long term issues.

My back is completely broken, do you know how long it would be to feel better?

Lastly I have a question, shall I continue taking raspberry tea ?? Would it help with the uterus contracting back ?

I'm so done with being pregnant ... I'm due in 2 weeks (30th) I just need this little man out off me !!!

Just spoke to my local hospital as I feel I am having contractions, they have said it definitely sounds like it as pains are 3-5mins apart and lasting 30secs so to hold off till I can't bare the pain anymore and head in. Went to toilet not long ago and the rest of my mucus plug definitely passed! Waters haven't broken yet.
Starting to feel very nervous about labour but I know I need to do it and will definitely be worth it 😯

I'm 4 days overdue 😭 this baby has given zero signs they want to come out. Cramps and BH have all pretty much disappeared 😏😏

@SC0508 exciting. They tend to say when you can no longer talk through a contraction then go in.
Close together and long tends to be a cue as well.
Im just thankful that I had a final contraction when I called as I was able to talk through all but that one. She told me to stay home but as soon as she heard that one she changed her mind which was lucky as we wouldn't have made it otherwise.
I know you are nervous, but it doesn't last forever. Your body will take over as you kind of have to ride the train until the end so you do.

@mrsnotnice I'm sorry its been so horrific. Try not to dwell on what was for now and focus on getting yourself and your princess better.
You can then look at having a debrief with the hospital I believe and raise questions regarding being refused a scan as you felt something was wrong, but were dismissed.
It will hopefully help with your mental recovery and also prevent it from happening to someone else.
It's also bad that you are going all over the place to clinics so soon. It should be that specialists come to you. I'm surprised that any specialists didn't come and see you in hospital before discharge instead of you having to take the brunt of it.
Again, something to bring up if you decide to arrange a formal discussion with your hospital/trust regarding what has happened.

Im coping OK so far solo with both kids. Dd wanted a pj day so I said yes as it makes her happy.
I'm very tired though as Orson had a few feeds within 90 mins last night so a very broken night.
I'm going to take on the school run tomorrow and maybe arrange to visit work one day in the week.

His jaundice is definitely improving every day. I have him in his moses basket by the window and don't let him go over 3 hours between feeds (stripping him down to his nappy if I need to) and that seems to be working.
Midwife due tomorrow to see about signing me over to the health visitor. Health visitor is also due to come to introduce herself. It would be good if they arrived at the same time.
Hopefully Orson will get weighed and he'll be doing well.
My bleeding has reduced but I'm still weeing myself quite a bit. Hope I haven't screwed my body up and can get my pelvic floor back.

I have a lot of pressure in my groin area today but no pain. Today is also a full moon and according to my acupuncturist, ladies who are full term at the time of a full moon, are more likely to go into labour! I'm holding on to that theory 😂

@MrsNotNice congratulations and sorry you've had such a rough time. I hope you get some answers and your little girl continues to do well x

How is everyone this afternoon? We’ve had a lovely day. I had coffee with a mate this morning while the kids were on Sunday school. Then a delicious Sunday lunch out with all my family. Ds watched a movie this afternoon while I snoozed. Then we made some blackberry flapjacks.
I just need to pack some last bits in my hospital bags and we are all ready for C-section day tomorrow. I can’t believe he’s going to be here so soon! Feeling quite nervous about it now.

I hope you’ve had a nice restful day @MrsNotNice and that you and dd are getting plenty of down time. It sounds like you’ve really been through the mill. Please be gentle on yourself & get plenty of rest and snuggles. My ds was in a similar position and that’s why I had my first c-section. Hopefully you can, in time, get a full debrief to answer your questions. Take care, and we are here if you want to talk 💐

@MrsNotNice don't feel bad - you weren't to know! I just wanted to say with your back - mine felt destroyed last time and it took a while to get better. It feels even worse this time and I'm definitely going to ask for some help when baby is born - maybe referral to physio?

@cattaxi I'm kind of freaking out to be honest. We have been to soft play, out for pizza and ice cream and then to the park. Now home and stressing we've forgotten something important in the hospital bags so unpacking and re-packing. I'm so nervous my heart is beating really fast!

I’m exactly the same @KatnissK. I keep having waves of anxious nausea. And I feel really tearful. I’m going to be a wreck by the morning!

@MrsNotNice really sorry to hear you're going through such a tough time but you're an absolute trooper to be doing all these visits with your little one! I really hope you can get the help you very much deserve.

@SunshineSophia I can imagine you are fed up! I'm 39+3 and also very fed up and pretty sure I'll go over the due date as well. I guess the only thing we can do is be patient.

I had a pretty relaxed day. We finally made up the pram and went for a long walk and for the rest just lounged at home. My breasts feel quite sore again, similar to the first trimester, so maybe going through another growth spurt? Baby is moving a lot in there so thankfully he/she seems ok.

@cattaxi I just said to DH I could both vomit and cry! Going to try not to do either as I doubt either would make me feel better. I might try a warm bath and some relaxing music. Hope you manage to get a good night's sleep and keep us updated tomorrow!

Spent the day sorting through the tomatoes my mum has picked from her tomato plants and then went shopping. Feeling a lot slower and a heavier and almost like my bump takes up all my lap when I sit. Currently in the bath and honestly don't think I will get out without any help 😣
