Hi @Babbabump congratulations!

You're 5 weeks? Mostly weeks 4-5 for me were mostly sore boobs but this week tiredness and some nausea although I'm still nowhere near as bad as some of the ladies on here. I think my symptoms are quite mild by comparison.

Dinosauraddict · 01/08/2019 07:05

Welcome @Babbabump and @Jampot36 I love the sound of that t-shirt! I had first MW appointment yesterday which was good. Consultant led (not surprised). Also got all my NHS antenatal classes booked super early and joined the NCT. Busy day. Now counting down to next scan (Wednesday)!

Dinosauraddict · 01/08/2019 07:06

Also is anyone booking a mini holiday/baby moon before March?

Jampot36 · 01/08/2019 07:15

@Dinosauraddict how organised are you?! I dont know if i have to wait til my 16 week midwife appointment to book stuff. Counting down the days to 9th september for my scan then going to start sorting our house and rearranging it to make more space once we know everything is ok.

I really want a little holiday but its not likely. My husband will be made redundant before xmas so realistically he'll be starting a new job so couldn't have timed it worse! We might just have a few days off work together and head up Northumberland for days out instead but if you can have one you should go for it! I was supposed to be going on my best friends hen do to palma in October but cancelled that, her wedding is 28th March...pretty unlikely I'll make that either!!!!

Naylor19 · 01/08/2019 07:35

@ELW85 thankyou, it is hard being patient but we just need to remember how far we've come in even getting pregnant I guess

@Dinosauraddict me and my hubby have booked two holidays before March, we're off too Milan this month for 4 days and Mykonos in the October break Smile I think the holidays will be a great distraction especially Milan while I'm waiting to get past the 12 week milestone!

Dinosauraddict · 01/08/2019 08:14

@Jampot36 I'm really sorry to hear that, the redundancy is really tough timing. Also tough that you'll have to miss the hen.
@Naylor19 Mykonos sounds amazing. We normally do our holidays early in the year so have been to Turkey and Gran Canaria so far this year. We've booked to go to Krakow in Nov and visit Auschwitz etc but really I now want a beach break instead. Considering somewhere short in Oct for a few days...

Naylor19 · 01/08/2019 08:25

@Dinosauraddict they sound lovely! The one thing we do indulge on is our holidays, especially having struggled to get pregnant for so long it's been sort of like an escape if that makes sense? We'd booked these two before finding out I was pregnant (thinking it would never happen!) we went to Santorini last year for our honeymoon and we loved it! Usually we're opposite and go for city breaks but it was such a nice beach holiday that we decided to opt for Mykonos in Greece again Smile

Jampot36 · 01/08/2019 08:34

@Dinosauraddict thanks, I'm sure he'll find something else just extra pressure. I'm not so bothered about the hen. Wouldnt have enjoyed it being the only sober one! Gutted about the wedding though, its a week after my due date and i was bridesmaid but had to be realistic as unlikely I'll be there unless im late and we might go just to the ceremony. Thats for nearer the time though.

@naylor19 my husband loved krakow when he went and by oct you should be feeling much better but a beach break would be lovely too!

hopefulowl · 01/08/2019 08:36

Morning ladies. I'm feeling slightly better this morning although I feel like my stomach could turn at any point so I don't want to speak too soon!

@Dinosauraddict A mini break or holiday before March is such a good idea. We have been on a couple of trips this year but I'd love to go on another one, probably just down to Cornwall as we have family down there. We have so much to do on our new house though that I'm not sure when we will fit it in... How did you book the antenatal classes? Is that through the NHS?

@Jampot36 That is tough timing - it's difficult isn't it, I don't think there is a right time, for me it would have been potentially more useful to have timed it around the school year, but realistically I literally didn't care - not after trying for a year. I hope your husband can sort out a new job soon enough and that they'll be understanding. And what crazy timing with your best friends wedding!

Naylor19 · 01/08/2019 08:36

@Jampot36 that's good to hear, I was worried about flying this month due to being under 12 weeks (if anything was to happen?!) but decided what will be, will be. So I may as well go and enjoy myself and just be cautious whilst away. We've taken out insurance to cover the pregnancy too but touch wood we won't need to use it x

barnyb · 01/08/2019 08:52

@Dinosauraddict we literally just had a holiday and we said that will be our last one alone. But it's our wedding anniversary nov 5th and we have booked a weekend away for that. About an hour away so not far. how is everyone doing today? This morning I woke up without that awful sick hunger. This is the first time iv had this in weeks. Has anyone else had a random day when the sickness wasn't bad at all? Feeling a bit worried actually xxxx

MunchyMunchkin · 01/08/2019 08:53

No scan photo as our machine is rubbish but all fine, 8+4 as expected.

Yvonne1988 · 01/08/2019 11:52

@Naylor19 I found out 2 days before I was due to go to New York. And the flying was fine. I too was like whatever happens happens because it was hot and humid and I certainly don't go to New York to relax!

Yvonne1988 · 01/08/2019 11:53

@barnyb I woke up not too bad this morning. As soon as I brushed my teeth I started heaving so I still felt a bit sick but not as bad as it was yesterday.

barnyb · 01/08/2019 12:14

@Yvonne1988 thank you for messaging. I got up had cereal and then instantly started to feel yuck about the milk. But now I'm feeling much better. Iv made the most of it as it my day off and iv had a big clean :) something iv not been able to do xxx

CharlSmith19 · 01/08/2019 12:53

Hello,

Hope you don't mind me joining, haven't got an exact due date yet as i had a scan at 6 weeks and was told i was under 5 weeks and then had a scan on Monday and was dated at 6 weeks 2 days when i should of been 7 +5 weeks :/ so will see what my next scan on Monday says.

maybenextmonth · 01/08/2019 13:12

@barnyb I feel the same, I felt really sick for a good week and then as of yesterday I get the odd really mild wave of nausea but not much else! We have a scan booked today and I'm terrified. I'm hoping I'm just lucky with having it not too bad but I can't help but think the worst.

Yvonne1988 · 01/08/2019 13:28

@barnyb going swimming with the kids now. My costume is too tight but I thought its better than a bikini. Cannot hide it.

barnyb · 01/08/2019 13:47

@maybenextmonth ah good luck with your scan. Yes I did feel the same but then I started to feel rotten again. However feeling better now. I'm just carrying on and whatever happens happens. 🤐 xxxx

Naylor19 · 01/08/2019 13:48

@Yvonne1988 exactly, I'm pretty sure if something was going to happen it doesn't really matter where I am, it won't prevent it, as long as we have travel insurance we'll be fine! New York is amazing we've been twice! We went there when me and hubby first met for our 21st birthdays, definitely too much to see and do to be resting! BlushSmile

chloeellen12 · 01/08/2019 14:50

Hey everyone!

I've been reading through the thread and it's so reassuring to see other women who have been feeling the same as me! I'm roughly due 15th March, waiting for my letter for my first scan!

I've been having terrible nausea and have been sick a few times, I've been having dizzy spells, back ache and a super sense of smell. I've also never been this tired in my life. Keeping everything crossed this all passes after 12 weeks Hmm

Is anyone else due around the same kinda date?

AnxiousandExcited · 01/08/2019 14:53

Hello everyone,
Just found you all - bit late I know!
Having a bad day today - can barely type. Still not thrown up (feeling bad for all of you who are constantly sick!) but the exhaustion is way more than extreme.
Goodnight for now

avocadoincident · 01/08/2019 15:19

Glad I've found this 2nd thread!
Trying to catch up with it now but too tired to read.

barnyb · 01/08/2019 15:48

@CharlSmith19 hey ! Sorry your scans where showing all sorts of funny things! I have seen a few ladies with these types of scans and everything sorted itself out after a few weeks. keep positive xxxxx

Cantrip · 01/08/2019 15:49

@chloeellen12 - I’m due March 14, all being well, and am absolutely exhausted!
