ttc19 · 31/07/2019 19:14

I've hit a new low.. uncontrollably wretching over the loo whilst my 5 year old (mid bedtime routine) tries to "look after me" Sad

Brandygirl27 · 31/07/2019 19:14

Yes it really does just randomly start, and when it hit me it hit me bad 🙈🙈🙈but it’s all good signs 🙏🏻🙏🏻😍xx

MunchyMunchkin · 31/07/2019 20:12

@Missr30 welcome.
My little one is also starting school in September. She will be four in August. Hoping that means she will understand a bit more when this one hopefully arrives.

MunchyMunchkin · 31/07/2019 20:20

Poor you @ttc19 sounds awful.

I spent 10mins lying on the floor of my office today as felt very faint.
On the upside we have new uniforms that are very roomy so should hide anything for a while. The benefits of scrubs!

Jampot36 · 31/07/2019 20:29

@ttc19 that sounds awful but how lovely of your little girl!

@hopefulowl at least its cooler this week too, that heat wouldnt have helped, sounds like you're really going throught it though.
One of my friends told me to get some ginger tea in and my mam said boiled water helped her and eating crackers helped. I think everyone's different. I tried a peppermint tea earlier but it made me feel worse so I'm trying a chamomile now.

barnyb · 31/07/2019 20:38

@Yvonne1988 ahhhh rest up girlie !! it's a long few weeks to go yet! lol. how's that belly ? Iv got the evening bulge now.

barnyb · 31/07/2019 20:42

@Jampot36 erm.... yup!! Pretty much ! 🤮🤮🤮

barnyb · 31/07/2019 20:44

@ttc19 @MunchyMunchkin oh dear oh dear!! It's not good 🤭🤭🤭🤢 I know your both feeling like hell but I'm kinda glad others are feeling the same as me. 🤐😅

Jampot36 · 31/07/2019 20:53

@barnyb remember this morning when i felt fine?! 😂😫😂😫😂😫

Cantrip · 31/07/2019 21:27

I only feel ok when I’m eating, but the idea of most food is sickening 😬
Today I’ve gone for raisins and plain popcorn - both good because I can take a long time to eat them!
Then for tea I’ve ended up with a bizarre combo of halloumi dipped in tomato passata.
Now sipping water but convinced I’m going to throw up any second 🤢

Yvonne1988 · 31/07/2019 21:30

@barnyb omg I'm looking a couple months more now! Went to tgi Friday's to tea. Haven't had my daily nap either so I'm exhausted haha

Keyboard91 · 31/07/2019 21:42

This thread moves faaaaast!

Sorry to hear you’re feeling so rough @ttc19 @barnyb @cantrip @Brandygirl27 @Jampot36 @hopefulowl and others. I’m 6 weeks tomorrow and haven’t really had any proper nausea ... and I’m really wishing I would as I think that would reassure me. I know that sounds really weird but after having 2 MC, maybe it would help my anxiety settle. So far I’ve had sensitive nipples, some cramping which are all PMS symptoms, some bowel issues and bloat and gas, which I can blame on IBS if I want, and weird change in appetite/hunger patterns which I keep blaming on it being a teacher on holiday and no set mealtimes. So in my (anxiety) head I’ve got no symptoms - which logically I know I’m still very early and some women don’t have sickness etc, but I wanna feel. Because I’ve got nothing else to reassure me that JellyBean is cooking away safely in there. Sorry if that sounds wrong or anything. Will be booking a private scan for week after next (just before 8 weeks) - but am scared to book it so far in advance.

@Jampot36
I had a private scan at 7 weeks all was fine, then another at the epau on Monday as I had some spotting, everything was fine again. The scans are helping me relax a little but still quite anxious.

MunchyMunchkin · 31/07/2019 21:47

@barnyb safety in numbers. I’ve been alright the last few hours, a brief respite!

I’ve got my next scan tomorrow. Should be 8+4

barnyb · 31/07/2019 21:50

@Keyboard91 doesn't sounds weird at all.
I'm the exact same as you. Any symptom is a win for me. A horrible yucky win ! Xxx

barnyb · 31/07/2019 21:51

@Yvonne1988 ohhhh Lordy! that will do it 😂

barnyb · 31/07/2019 21:53

@MunchyMunchkin oh good luck tomorrow!! Let us know how it goes! How exciting. I get nervous the night before xxx

barnyb · 31/07/2019 21:55

@Jampot36 ohhhh my gaaaad ! The night time is the worst.

hopefulowl · 31/07/2019 22:22

@Jampot36 Thanks, I think I'll try camomile tea and ginger tea next. I've even ordered some sea sickness wrist bands to see if they'll help!

@Cantrip I feel like that too, constantly as if I'm on the verge of throwing up. Confused

@Keyboard91 I know exactly what you're saying, if I wasn't unwell like this I'd probably be worried as you say you are, however I had been pretty much fine / no symptoms other than similar to how you described- sore boobs, slight aversion to foods and some cramping, up until a few days ago. Then it hit me, and as I mentioned I've basically been in bed for 2 days. I'm hoping it gets slightly better. I don't think you can tell when it might catch up with you, or you could also just have much lighter symptoms or no symptoms and it's perfectly normal. I can totally understand your worry though. I'm also a teacher and in some ways this is a bad time to be in the first trimester - (too much time to think and worry)! But how you're feeling is definitely normal!

MunchyMunchkin · 31/07/2019 22:40

@Keyboard91 symptoms are reassuring but rubbish. We are all grateful but hateful about it!

Disney1010 · 01/08/2019 06:22

@keyboard91 I'm a teacher too. My advice is to let your HT and any staff you work closely with (TA/partner teachers) know sooner rather than later so they can help you. I told mine at 8 weeks with my DD, which meant I was told immediately when one of the kids in our year group had Scarlet Fever and I was given time off work until he had recovered. It also gives you a sympathetic, helpful person (hopefully anyway) when you feel rough! I'm just not sure how my HT will take it as I've only just returned from Mat leave with my DD!

@hopefulowl sickness bands were a godsend for me with my DD! I ended up wearing them 24/7 until about 16 weeks when my nausea settled. I'm hoping I don't need them this time as they will be harder to hide in the summer heat!

Jampot36 · 01/08/2019 06:43

@Keyboard91 totally get it, that sounds normal. I had no major symptoms til yesterday, id had the twinges, sore boobs etc and then it came so suddenly so im sure will be the same for you.

@MunchyMunchkin id like a t shirt with grateful but hateful on to wear for the next 2 months!!!!

Nausea has eased this morning although woken with a banging headache and still bloated...ive easily gained 4lb in the last 2 weeks and the acne is delightful...cheers hormones. Ive never felt less attractive!

Babbabump · 01/08/2019 06:47

Ooh is it too late to join in? I think I'm.due 29th March (according to an online calculator). I dont feel overly pregnant yet so I have a reassurance scan booked for the 13th and then my first midwife appointment the 21st.

So.exciting :)

Congratulations to everyone already on the thread

Is there anyone else who isnt experiencing many symptoms?

ELW85 · 01/08/2019 06:50

@Naylor19 - I’m so pleased the clomid worked for you. You’re right, when you want something so much it’s hard to relax once you get it. I’m not the most patient person either to be fair!

@Keyboard91 - I know how you feel about the lack of sickness; I get nausea in waves and it doesn’t last long. I think everyone is different, so try not to worry. Have you had/are you going to have a reassurance scan?
