@chloeellen12 hello! Congratulations! When are you due? Hope ur ok! We have all been feeling rotten recently ! It's really horrid xxxx

CharlSmith19 · 01/08/2019 15:55

@barnyb thank you! Yes I'm staying positive until I'm told there's something wrong, hoping to have dates caught up at 12 week scan fingers crossed! xxxx

Babbabump · 01/08/2019 16:20

Yes 5 weeks (will be 6 on sunday)

Thank you! I'm terribly excited but sometimes a little anxious about the lack of symptoms so hearing you were the same is a great comfort :)

How far along are you now?

@Jampot36

chloeellen12 · 01/08/2019 16:24

@Cantrip that’s cool! Have you had any midwife appointments yet?

@barnyb thank you! This is our first baby so we’re super excited although I feel bad wishing time away so I can stop feeling so awful! I’m due 15th March, you?

Xx

barnyb · 01/08/2019 16:25

@CharlSmith19 if I make it to 12 week scan il be so happy! I can't imagine the day I am actually 12 weeks and it's all ok! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Jampot36 · 01/08/2019 16:29

@Babbabump I'll be 7 weeks on sunday so a week ahead of you. My symptoms seem to come and go now (but still mild compared to others) so yesterday i was nauseous bloated and tired, today I'm fine and thinking i imagined it! Im making the most of my good days with nice food and trips to the gym and resting when i need to. I asked my midwife about the lack of symptoms last week as i was anxious like you. She said its nothing to worry about and enjoy it while it lasts!

barnyb · 01/08/2019 17:13

@chloeellen12 oh yes I'm wishing this first bit away too! I think most of us are! We all want a proper tummy and the sickness to bugger off! 😂🤞🏼 I'm due 4th March. I'm 9 weeks and 1 day. next scan is next Friday. Xxxx

Cantrip · 01/08/2019 17:22

@chloeellen12 - I already had my booking in appointment ( 2 weeks ago which was ridiculously early!!) due to having had complicated pregnancies previously. I’ve also had 2 scans already, and have another one on Saturday morning! To be honest though, I’m so anxious that I think even if they’d scanned me every day, I’d still feel worried an hour later, wondering if everything was still ok 🙄

CharlSmith19 · 01/08/2019 17:42

@barnyb same really don’t want to wish the days away but sooo want to get to 12 weeks and finally relax!

Naylor19 · 01/08/2019 17:58

@CharlSmith19

Hey I just thought I'd let you know I'm going through something similar. Had first scan on Wednesday where I worked out I should be 6+4 to be told I was under 6 weeks so couldn't date it. I also didn't see a heartbeat which was so disappointing! I have another scan next Wednesday hoping for better news and a heartbeat then. Hope yours all works out ok x

dream109 · 01/08/2019 18:03

Hi all,

Has anyone completely gone off food? I've not been sick and only get mild nausea, but I'm really struggling to find anything I fancy to eat. I'm forcing myself most times, but it's starting to get hard to get enthusiastic about eating. I've even gone off water, but I'm being strict with myself lol.

Yvonne1988 · 01/08/2019 18:04

I just threw up all my tea 😭 that never happened first time round.

Naylor19 · 01/08/2019 18:07

@dream109 I've found this too, I just rarely fancy anything (and I'm a big foodie usually!) I'm trying to drink lots as my urine came back dehydrated on Monday but even that's a struggle! I think bland foods are easier to stomach x

dream109 · 01/08/2019 18:27

@Naylor19 I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'm also a big foodie so it's frustrating lol. I have been eating more bland food and it seems to help. Just refused a cheesy pasta dish cos I've gone off dairy completely. Also gone off sweet and tea! My fiance finds it highly amusing cos he's also a foodie and can't imagine it lol.

Dinosauraddict · 01/08/2019 18:43

@dream109 I've gone off dairy too. Big time.

@CharlSmith19 and @Naylor19 hoping for good news for you both soon.

@Cantrip I'm close to your dates, due 11th March.

@hopefulowl - I love Cornwall and was able to book the classes through my NHS hospital’s website. It’s a bit buried but my MW showed me exactly where it was and the dates go months in advance so I wanted to be organised!

@Jampot36 fingers crossed you can still make the ceremony, shame that you can’t be bridesmaid but I’m sure your friend understands!

CharlSmith19 · 01/08/2019 19:20

@Naylor19 I’m sure all will work out they are measuring something that is so small that’s what I’m keeping my hope on that it’ll catch up on my 12 week scan 🤞🏼 Fingers crossed for our next scans!

CharlSmith19 · 01/08/2019 19:24

Thank you! I’m staying positive as we had a heartbeat both times so hoping that my dates are just off or baby will catch up on size 🤞🏼

Naylor19 · 01/08/2019 19:53

@dream109 I'm usually a big tea drinker over 10 cups a day! Ive had to cut back and hubby if trying to make me drink decaf but I can't stomach it so I'd rather just go withoutBlush I'm hoping my taste and appetite return soon!

@Dinosauraddict thankyou, will keep you all updated!

@CharlSmith19 yeah hopefully you're right Smile I'm sure it will all work out ok! I'll let you know how I get on next Wednesday and if I've had some improvement with the size. I guess it's all still early days and it's hard not to get carried away with it all! x

barnyb · 01/08/2019 19:57

@dream109 yep!!! It's been going on for weeks now and it's driving me insane! The only food iv been able to eat is bad food! Super noodles 😵 and mug shots 🤐

Rojelio · 01/08/2019 21:31

Hi please can I join? I'm 5+4 so early days and due on March 29th.
Second pregnancy, first time round my midwife called it a 'beige' pregnancy.
I felt quite positive last time and don't really remember feeling particularly hormonal but this time I've been having bouts of feeling quite out of sorts and today just burst out crying so not sure this one is going to be quite as smooth sailing although I'm keeping my fingers crossed it will be! 😬

barnyb · 01/08/2019 21:56

@Rojelio congratulations!! :) what did beige mean?

barnyb · 01/08/2019 21:58

Oh my Christ my sickness has been saving itself for bed time ! I feel so sick! I keep having little burps and that's making it worse. I think I won't sleep much tonight ! 😮

barnyb · 01/08/2019 21:59

@AnxiousandExcited all good signs !! :)

Babbabump · 01/08/2019 22:21

@Rojelio ooh same due date as me ! And I've been randomly emotional too - my dh calls me the ice queen so it's taking some getting used to. Congratulations

@Jampot36 yeah me too! Although sometimes I'm finding the gym knackers me completely so I've cut it down to every other day and a gentle walk or bike ride on my off days :) is there anything your avoiding in the gym? Ive tried googling but not come up with much- I just try not to get too tired or too hot

avocadoincident · 02/08/2019 05:27

@Disney1010 @Keyboard91
Hi teachers I'm also dreading telling my boss as I haven't returned from having my dd16 months. I took a years maternity and then in my authority they have a 5 year career break option so I planned to take 2 years of that. I need to email my head teacher (hyperventilates at the thought of this) and officially ask the governors to consider for my career break to be the full five years.

I'll let you know the response.
