Oh so glad I’ve found this! I’m 35+2 with 2nd pregnancy. Really not a fan of being pregnant with the heartburn and uncomfortable etc so really looking forward to having this baby... also planning an home birth! Hope you all start having them little babies soon!! X

kittytiggy · 11/07/2019 16:56

@rachyrach300 I'm expecting DC2 soon too! Welcome to the club.
I've always wanted to have a home birth but DS's birth had lots of complications so I'm not allowed to! Just think, we all won't be pregnant in a few weeks time Smile

ZazuMoon · 11/07/2019 19:13

@kittytiggy oh does the pregnancy salad had loads of healthy things that we all aimed to eat when TTC and then our bodies had other ideas? 😁 I made my own version of a pregnancy salad this week and it was going well. Then I added cheese, tortilla crisps and sundried tomatoes. 😇 And half a baguette. It was delicious.

Anyone else have plans to be really healthy and virtuous throughout their pregnancy with eating and exercising that have fallen by the wayside?

@mynameiscalypso unless it was life sized the ginger bread man should only count as a snack, not second breakfast. 😁

kittytiggy · 11/07/2019 19:35

@ZazuMoon it did indeed Grin.

My plan to eat healthy today has ended not as hoped! Cooked salmon with rice and veggies for tea, and ate all of my portion, plus another salmon fillet, and then the toddler's leftovers he was refusing to eat. Felt like an absolute bottomless pit so then proceeded to have about half a pint of ben and jerry's, a tablespoon of neat nutella and god knows how many biscoff biscuits Blush Blush Blush.

Now sipping on this faddy tea vowing to be healthier tomorrow, for mine and the baby's sake!

I am actually 4"11 and one of them annoying naturally skinny eat so much junk and don't put weight on people. It does have it's upsides but also downsides like I am completely flat chested as I said before

Still have a fat craving for Cadbury dairy milk so will probably have to give into that in the next hour!

kittytiggy · 11/07/2019 19:45

When I found out I was pregnant for the 2nd time, I vowed to eat lots of 'nourishing whole foods' in my midwife's words and 'plentiful water'. I also signed up for PregoFIT classes 2x a week in the local leisure centre. Went religiously up until I was doing a shoulder stand and farted loudly 3 times in a row

Shall we say I never attended the class again.

ZazuMoon · 11/07/2019 21:23

@kittytiggy 😂 at 'nourishing whole foods.' Exactly my plans, as well as pregnancy yoga, green juices, the works.

My son has other ideas.

I am not someone eats what they like, either. 🐗Well, usually.

ZazuMoon · 11/07/2019 21:26

On another topic, does anyone have pets who are acting oddly? The closer I get to my due date the weirder my cat is acting; racing around the house/alternating clinginess and ignoring me/spending hours staring at the baby's cot. 😾

Lexyness · 11/07/2019 22:25

@rachyrach300 you must be due on 13th same as me?

kittytiggy · 12/07/2019 09:17

@ZazuMoon
I have 2 huskies and OMG YES! When I was PG with DS they would get into his moses basket, lie on my bump, yelp at me and scratch me! I think they felt vulnerable bless them.

ZazuMoon · 12/07/2019 14:35

@kittytiggy did anything help reassure your dogs? My cat is all over the place and I can't seem to help her.

Libbylove2015 · 12/07/2019 14:41

Hi All, can I join you - due 27th Aug.

Happy to find you all, I basically recognise that I came on MN to moan about being 33 weeks pregnant with no2, knackered, uncomfortable, hot and then to find that this week my toddler (2) has decided to drop his nap and has stopped sleeping through (possibly because his molars are coming through).

God this is hard - SO SO SO much harder with a toddler than it was the first time around.

Sorry - moan over. Will be more positive from now on!

Good luck everyone!

kittytiggy · 12/07/2019 15:11

@ZazuMoon I made sure to give them lots of attention during my last weeks of pregnancy and when DS arrived, letting them sit on my knees whilst breastfeeding, giving them dog treats, taking them out for walks alone, so they felt less threatened by this new arrival. They adjusted!!!
Just not too much attention as they'll turn into right brats :)

@Libbylove2015 Can 100% relate. Due on the 20th with DC2 and having to go through this pregnancy with an all over the place toddler is not fun! I'm constantly exhausted too!

To top things off, I'm now having name doubts Angry

mumoftwo1988 · 12/07/2019 16:28

My cat has been following me all day... but it may have been something to do with the ham I gave him this morning 😂😂

@mumoftwo1988 when the huskies do that I can't resist them ! They end up with more :)

ZazuMoon · 12/07/2019 18:53

Thanks @kittytiggy. Although I did give my cat some upgraded expensive cat food today @mumoftwo1988 and she looked at me as if I'd served her a turd and stalked off. 😾
Dogs are much more straightforward.

@Libbylove2015 welcome! As someone expecting my first I'm taking small consolation in the fact that I don't also have a toddler to deal with as well..

kittytiggy · 12/07/2019 19:26

Honestly can't wait for our babies to start popping out!

kittytiggy · 12/07/2019 19:30

@ZazuMoon
I would agree. Had 2 persians growing up. You never knew where you stood with them - one day they'd be all loving and on your knee, the next they would draw blood with their scratch and crap on your bed, exhausting.

Major issue I've had with the huskies is Lawrence constantly trying to shag Bianca. Thank god I got them neutered, dealing with 2 of them and a toddler is hard enough, I think 5 lively puppies as well as would tip me over the edge.

TheSweatyPregnancy · 12/07/2019 20:10

Had my 34 week appointment today and have been sent for a growth scan next week and urgent bloods for liver function today because of itchy hands and feet 😩 the most draining day ever. Anyone been tested for ICP?

Now laying with all of my limbs elevated because everything has swelled up with this heat!

Anyone else having a bloody rubbish last few weeks or just me?

Send help (and copious amounts of cake).

ZazuMoon · 12/07/2019 23:18

@TheSweatyPregnancy I hope you are feeling OK. Please rest and here's some cake 🍰 It's carrot cake though because I ate the chocolate one. 🙊

Lexyness · 13/07/2019 00:25

@TheSweatyPregnancy

I’ve had bloody for LFTs and kidney as well this week. I’ve been itchy since 20 weeks and my nurse couldn’t quite believe my mw didn’t bother to test with the standard bloods a while back! Itching is now unbearable, and progressed to palms and soles (rather than generally everywhere & backs of hands/tops of feet) also my hands looks pretty normal but I know they are swollen because my wedding rings have always been huge and are now tight!
As true nurse said - it’s better to test and be nothing than to leave it and suffer consequences!
Definitely struggling more last few weeks though - lots of cake for you! It was my birthday last weekend and I didn’t even get any cake 😭 x

Lexyness · 13/07/2019 00:42

possibly tmi
I have been out to a wedding vowel renewal ceremony this evening, had back ache (not bad) and when I stood up to come home some uncomfortable feelings in my groin!
Been to the toilet since getting home and thought it was excess discharge on wiping, when I looked in the toilet there were 2 small jelly like blobs!
Im now thinking it sounds like part of my plug has gone? In which case I’m hoping it grows back as only 35+3! But literally LOADS of people have been telling me all day that I look fit to burst/ready to pop/finished cooking her etc etc! I cannot even count how many people were shocked to hear I still have a month to go as everyone I spoke to said I looked as though labour is imminent - whilst also telling me how amazing I’m looking and I’m glowing bla bla bla!

Mondayblues7 · 13/07/2019 07:26

Hi!! Can I join? I am 33+5 and due on 26th August.

First baby after a MMC last year. I have found pregnancy hard in places, have suffered with uncontrollable itching all.over which doctors finally gave me something for.

Rib pain - oh my god. This has probably been the worst thing.

I am 5ft 1 so finding maternity clothes has been a struggle (I work in a very hot, unair-conditioned office) thank god for eBay dresses !

I am.anxious about labour but so excited to meet our baby. We don't know what we are having and am struggling with names.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend xxx

kittytiggy · 13/07/2019 12:56

@Lexyness exact same thing happened to me !!!

kittytiggy · 13/07/2019 13:03

@Mondayblues7
I'm 4"11 so can relate. and snap on the rib pain, excruciating!
Congratulations on your rainbow baby Flowers Labour is hard but so worth it. Have we all got a birth plan yet? x

Lexyness · 13/07/2019 13:38

@Mondayblues7

Also snap! Same as kittytiggy I’m only 4’11” fortunately being a private carer I can kind of pick what I wear to work! This week I have managed to fit into my pre-pregnancy summer dresses stretched over my bump (thank god!) and told my clients they have no choice because I’m so hot and uncomfortable - even warned them there was a chance I could flash my knickers 🤣 so unprofessional but my clients would prefer I was looking after them than rang in unable to work lol!
Worst rib pain for me was when baby was breech and her head was under my rib cage! Thank goodness she has moved head down now! I’m finding the movements/kicks extremely uncomfortable though, even make me sick at times x
