@Lexyness 100% the same. I am a mess! I see other people on instagram like bloody Deliciously Ella - glowing and doing yoga and drinking green juice Hmm

I am an eyelash technician and bending over people's heads is going to be the death of me! I'm 33+7 today and have to work 3 mornings and 3 afternoons until I reach 36 weeks!

Worked this morning and currently at home with the toddler eating my bodyweight in cadbury chocolate and trying to get him to touch the pasta I made him for lunch why do i try.

Also I think we've decided on the name - Saskia!

Lexyness · 09/07/2019 15:22

@kittytiggy love the name ❤️
I’m a private carer currently only 2 clients but it seems the rest of the carers have decided to take holidays (understandably) right up until my due date 🙈 so I’m covering extra mornings this week at 1 of my clients, next week is my long week anyway and then the end of July/beginning August another carer is taking annual leave and she works with both my clients as well 🤦🏼‍♀️ (Bit of a bug bear because she is much older and has no kids/grandchildren and yet has chosen summer holidays to take time off - despite the other few carers all having school age kids!)
And yes I feel your pain - I’m constantly bending over too 😭 wish I could eat chocolate though - have loadsa birthday chocolate which my kids bought me at the weekend and yet any food pretty much makes me feel/be sick 😭😭😭 x

Saladinthesun · 09/07/2019 15:34

@Lexyness same!! What’s hilarious is pre-pregnancy I was always bloody freezing, raynauds in my fingers and toes, now I simply cannot wait to be home to just wear knicks and a soft sleep bra and sit in front of the fan!! Don’t like having to put clothes on (big fan of dresses) and crave cold stuff (am very protective of my supply of ice cubes) DH complains that I’m like a furnace and make the bed too hot 😂😂 I wonder if the icy cold hands and always feeling cold will return post-baby or if my thermostat has been permanently altered...

kittytiggy · 09/07/2019 15:38

@Lexyness poor you!!! you need rest!

Lexyness · 09/07/2019 15:44

@Saladinthesun I’m usually same, freezing cold hands and feet and I’ve wondered for a few years if I have Raynauds syndrome due to the pain - just taking something out of the freezer normally I find painful!

@kittytiggy, thanks, yes I do feel the need to rest tbh! 5 weeks today until due date x

Kathryn19 · 09/07/2019 19:19

Oh @ZazuMoon I'm sorry, that sounds rough! Hopefully the weather doesn't get too much hotter!
@Lexyness I totally feel you. Sleeping so badly that work is a huge struggle. Failed to do half the housework that needed to be done at the weekend. When does nesting kick in?!!!
On my way home from work now and I feel like a bloated whale, with fat feet and totally exhausted. I'm lucky my job isn't physical at all and generally I've been so lucky with my pregnancy, but some days you just want to throw in the towel haha!
Max 6 more weeks of work... must power through!!!

kittytiggy · 09/07/2019 20:08

My pregnancy pillow just arrived. £50!!!!!!! but I'm past caring at this point. This is the one I got in case anyone is interested! Will update if it helps increase my sleep from about 3 hours...

TheSweatyPregnancy · 09/07/2019 20:27

I’ve struggled with the heat today, it’s rained all day where I am but has been horrible and stuffy.

Love the name @kitty feel glad you’ve got something picked now? We decided on our name really early and I was worried I would end up hating it by this point but it’s still a firm fave!

That pillow looks amazing - let me know how it is, there would be no room for my 6’4” DP in the bed if I bought one though, which is incentive to buy one if anything haha

I don’t know how you’re all still doing it and working. I’ve been signed off with sciatica now and I am so glad. I can just about manage getting about the house so going to work would be an absolute killer!

Kathryn19 · 09/07/2019 20:44

@TheSweatyPregnancy ooof it must be so hard having sciatica - I've had episodes of pain and it's impossible to get anything done, so if you're struggling with it I 100% agree with you being off work! I'm just tired and sometimes a bit achy most of the time so can keep going... that said something I wasn't expecting was how distracting painful baby kicks would be during meetings!!!

TheSweatyPregnancy · 09/07/2019 20:58

@kathryn19 I had had mild sciatica before being pregnant but was more of a small annoyance than anything but this has been awful, sitting, standing, laying all hurts 😩 but only a few weeks left of it hopefully!

I didn’t think baby kicks would be painful either, the first few weeks of them were great, all seemed magical but now I’m just like “leave me aloneeeeee please” ha. I didn’t realise just how hard pregnancy would be. So happy to be pregnant but it’s bloody difficult!

Lexyness · 09/07/2019 21:02

@Kathryn19
I have no clue when nesting kicks in! Certainly hasn’t happened to me yet and I can’t remember getting the nesting instinct with my other dc either 🙄 wish someone else would come round and do the normal housework let alone all those extra bits that coincide with nesting 🤣 x

Lexyness · 09/07/2019 21:06

As for the painful kicks - never had that before either! This time it is soooooo painful, I jump sometimes! And I have a super active baby this time, which I haven’t had before either! Every pregnancy/birth truly is different! x

Kathryn19 · 09/07/2019 21:07

@TheSweatyPregnancy yes not too long! When are you due? The pain of the baby moving really caught me by surprise too. Was so excited at first but now it's just absolutely constant and so uncomfortable. Completely agree though, I don't want to moan because it's amazing to be pregnant and the movements mean she is healthy and growing!!

@Lexyness I have been so tempted to get a cleaner.. but we are moving soon and paying for a big clean when we end our tenancy so holding out! Will nest when we get into our new home... maybe!

mynameiscalypso · 09/07/2019 21:14

Another one in a lot of pain from kicks, it really does feel like there's an alien trying to claw its way out sometimes. I can't imagine what it's going to be like in a few weeks!

kittytiggy · 09/07/2019 21:31

Yes same the kicks are excruciating at times!

kittytiggy · 09/07/2019 21:37

@TheSweatyPregnancy

Thank you! Yes such a relief, now just searching for a middle name!
DH will barely fit on the bed but he can lump it Wink I've been carrying his bloody huge human for almost 9 months!!! Will give a review on the pillow after tonight x

ZazuMoon · 09/07/2019 23:13

@kittytiggy will you review the pillow please? Already have one from mother care and don't like it but, like others on here, I'm just not sleeping at the moment. Was writing an article (academic, not a journalist!) last night between 2 and 5 am as just gave up trying to sleep!

Kathryn19 · 09/07/2019 23:36

@mynameiscalypso Exactly how I feel! She seems to have totally run out of room and has also found ribs etc. Sometimes makes me feel really queasy as well when it feels like she's changing position or whatever.

PhoebeBear · 10/07/2019 00:58

@Kathryn19 @mynameiscalypso I feel the same with baby! Movements are sooo much stronger now and he likes to kick under my ribs, as I'm writing this is his busiest time of the night as it's just none stop moving about! 😅
Midwife said I was 4/5 engaged last week but I'm starting to think he may have moved again as he seems all over the place

mumoftwo1988 · 10/07/2019 06:45

Another sleepless night! 2-3 hours at the most 😩 and iv got the worst heartburn... in the morning?

OP posts:
Kathryn19 · 10/07/2019 08:12

@PhoebeBear I also feel as if my baby should be doing flips given the size of movements but she's apparently 3/5! Also I can tell she is always head down from her frequent hiccups... she does change which way she is facing often though (left or right) and also does a lot of stretching I think.... oof!
@mumoftwo1988 that's horrid I'm sorry Sad I am also really struggling with sleep but mostly due to the kicking, various aches and need to pee!

MrsD28 · 10/07/2019 08:36

Ah yes, the painful kicks - the worst is when they catch me unawares during a work meeting and I grimace... getting some very odd looks from colleagues and clients. I have anterior placenta in my last pregnancy so didn't feel kicks very strongly at all - very very different experience this time!

kittytiggy · 10/07/2019 09:30

Highly recommend the pillow, I slept 6 hours last night which is an improvement! Grin I'm 34 weeks today!!!

EverythingNow · 10/07/2019 10:02

@mumoftwo1988 I've recently been prescribed omeprazole, it's life changing.

I've had horrific heartburn in pregnancies 1-3. With my 3rd it made me vomit daily. I just thought it was normal that gaviscon didn't really touch it.

Anyway with this one, it wasn't as bad but then I started vomiting the acid again so went to GP, because if heard on here you can be prescribed something stronger.

I was waking hourly and now I'm getting a few hours before I need to pee!

mynameiscalypso · 10/07/2019 10:08

It makes me feel sick sometimes too @Kathryn19, it's such a weird sensation and the constant churning is like being on a rollercoaster!

Woke up this morning at 4.30 and was starving so had to get up and have breakfast. Just had my second breakfast and now staring blankly at my computer screen...it's going to be a long day.

Glad to hear the pillow helped @kittytiggy!
