Hi all anyone else getting anxious? Il be 37 weeks on Thursday and its starting to hit me that.... I have to get this baby out.... lol

I think my waters have broken. Very annoying that I’m not even certain lol. No contractions or anything. Have to head into hospital shortly to check....

Little update, recovery went well and was able to return home on day 2, which was yesterday afternoon. Night time came and started getting baby ready for bedtime, feeding, swaddling but noticed baby began turning grey in the face and lips turning blue. Babies eyes were still wandering and arms moving after removing his blanket but chest wasn't rising at all.

Amazing DP was able to give baby cpr whilst on the phone to 999! Spent the night up the hospital and baby had numerous scans, checks and test which all came back normal! No one is entirely sure why this would happen so were left none the wiser feeling absolutely petrified to leave baby out of my sight.

Incredibly exhausted and but utterly relived. Sorry to bring the tone of the thread down but just wanted to write down what happened instead of it whirling around in my head.
I hope everyone gets to meet their precious babies very soon!

They sure do enjoy to keep us on our toes every step of the way.

Oh my goodness @ricecrispiecake, that must have been terrifying! I hope it was just a one off and you can settle in at home soon.

Oh my goodness so sorry to hear this happened! Very blessed that you knew exactly what to do in that situation.

I’ve been bouncing on the ball, and whilst my stomach feels rock hard and I have had twinges, I don’t think I’ve felt baby move as much, I’m not sure, but I’m considering calling hospital. It’s hard to say if I just haven’t noticed the movements because I’m bouncing constantly

24 hour labour, ended with forceps unfortunately .. pushed for 2 hours and his head got stuck, his heart rate dropped but I knew the best thing would be some help to get him out. Awful labour and it's really frightened me (sorry to all the new to be mums here) it's my first and I expected a straight forward delivery but knew there could always be complications, just didn't expect such a horrific experience. But he's here now and I'm so so happy to be a mother ! He was born 10th aug (2 days past due date) at 11.39am
The best part was when he was put onto my chest and my partner came over to cut the cord and looked me in the eyes while crying and saying 'you did it' ❤️
Good luck to everyone else due their babies , it really is life changing 😊

It def was my waters lol but I had no contractions so they had booked me in for an induction today at 3. Thank god contractions started this morning and I went through not hospital at 12:30.
Baby boy born 3 hours later 😀 having a wee rest now

Oh Chocolatedaim hopefully it isn’t long! I know, I got to the stage where I couldn’t remember when baby last moved and the paranoia really went up a gear!

No I’m still pregnant 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ Honestly this baby is so stubborn. He feels exceptionally low, movements are normal today, I think it was just because I was on the ball all day yesterday I didn’t notice his kicks as much. Whenever he moves it feels like he is in my pants it’s that low. I think I my mucus plug came away Saturday but I’m not sure if it was just discharge. I’m so bored now.
I’m going shopping today because I need some retail therapy 😆 told husband to dust off the credit card! He can also buy me lunch 😁😁

Hopefully it won’t be long before I’m posting a picture of my son.

@Snowflake9 thank you for your prayers. Was absolutely petrified to sleep last night but managed to get a few hours and baby is doing well.

@Chocolatedaim I hope you don't have to wait much longer to meet your little one, sounds like you're very close!

Had my 38 week appointment earlier, measuring correct and baby is in position. She has booked me for a sweep at 40 weeks should I need it.

My first two days of maternity have consisted of a lovely afternoon tea with Mil. For my birthday (28 yesterday!) And today, running errands. Shut my eyes then for 20 mins and boom woke up 4 hours later. I do genuinely feel shattered, is this my body preparing for labour?

Who knows. Hope all is well with the rest on the thread. Xx

Still pregnant 40+4 today.
Had a sweep but it was rather unsuccessful as my cervix was barely open. Another sweep booked in for Friday and then an outpatient induction booked for Monday morning.
I’m going swimming again tomorrow and I’m planning on doing lots of long walks. Really hoping sweep goes better on Friday!

Oh bless you , hoping the swim gets labour going. Have you tried any other wives tales? Pineapple? Spicy food? X

Yes eating chilli daily, but nothing. Drinking raspberry leaf tea and using clary sage oil. Baby will come when he wants I suppose x

Still pregnant here and with a groin muscle strain as baby is so low and heavy. Even the health visitor commented on the bump size! However, c section booked for next week so just hoping to battle on until then. Sending positive thoughts to all of those waiting for their babies to emerge!

I woke up early with intense period cramps, I’ve been timing them from 8am and they have been coming every 8-10mins, don’t know if it’s beginning of labour or not, trying to time for a little longer. Midwife wasn’t very enthusiastic after sweep yesterday so it’s making me doubt anything could actually be happening

So after three hours of labour my little boy arrived!! he is long and weighing a whopping 8lb15 but he is so happy and relaxed 😊
