Tonight my back hurts, I'm getting Braxton Hicks, need the toilet every 2 seconds, my feet are the size of footballs, nipples leaking and my toddler is being a pain in the arse. Pregnancy sucks.
So I'm lying on my pregnancy pillow eating a share bag of magic stars and a huge cuppa with three sugars and online browsing at things I can't afford Sad

kittytiggy · 13/07/2019 19:44

34+4 today :)

Lexyness · 13/07/2019 23:16

Feel your pain @kittytiggy I’ve been having mild lower back pain (constant not coming and going) when I’m in certain positions. And this afternoon lots more tightenings/Braxton hicks, plus dull period type pains! Now laying in bed feeling like baby is moving her head around in my pelvis - yay! Was in Aldi earlier and got shooting pain in my right nipple to the point I had to grab my boob #embarassing!

Kathryn19 · 13/07/2019 23:19

Baby keeps jabbing me in the side, so hard it is actually making me gasp with pain!
Maybe she is grumpy for me for a rather warm cinema trip... air con was half broken oof!!

PhoebeBear · 14/07/2019 06:45

36+4 and last night I had 'lightening pains' for the first time.. I've had mild period like cramps the last couple of days but last night was so much different , it's very low down and more sharp pains rather than the dull menstrual cramps.
I wonder if this means baby will be coming soon! I read up that it could still be between 2-3 weeks yet before they make an appearance x

kittytiggy · 14/07/2019 13:16

Snap to jabbing and period style pains! Family came round this morning and I received the classics -
"Oh Emilie, you look ready to burst!"
"Are you sure it's not twins?!"
"I'd think you were due today!"
"You're huge!!!"

Also why do they think it's ok to TOUCH MY STOMACH without permission???????

anyway hope everyone else is ok and that you're having a lovely weekend. already dreading work tomorrow in this heat.

Now binge reading MN name threads as I'm having doubts about Saskia ffs

PhoebeBear · 14/07/2019 14:53

@kittytiggy I absolutely love that name! I heard it from a YouTuber some years back which called her daughter it and I said if I had a girl it would definitely be one of the names I'd pick😊

Yeah really feeling big now, not long to go (I hope) how far along are you?

Lexyness · 14/07/2019 15:05

I’m currently sat on the beach 😁
Had worse period type pains coming in waves in the early hours and I couldnt sleep through it. Then a clear out this morning 😳 but back to normal now. It’s all a bit soon at 35+5 tbh but hoping it’s just my body preparing for a few weeks time maybe x

kittytiggy · 14/07/2019 15:09

@PhoebeBear
ah that has reassured me loads, I do really like it. Does it 'match' with Grayson (DS)?

I'm 34+5 today, how about you? Smile Hurry up 20th August!

Snowflake9 · 14/07/2019 18:00

I was Monday blues. I have NC.

Baby is head down for me and this morning was kicking so hard I actually said ouch!

I am getting alot of pressure down there and also niggly electric shock pains.

If one more person asks me how I am handling the heat, I might stick them.in a frying pan. We all know it's hot. Stop bringing it up, it makes me feel even hotter !

My reply has now been "we have AC in our house so really well actually!" Shuts up the smugness. Haha.

kittytiggy · 14/07/2019 18:19

@Snowflake9 OMG never read anything more relatable.
Was on the bus yesterday coming home from work. And it was so hot and humid, no AC either. I must have heard 'That woman's heavily pregnant, gosh how is she coping' or something along those lines from about 10 different passengers.
SHUT THE F UP, YOU'RE MAKING IT WORSE XOXO.

A personal fave was from the pensioner couple sitting behind me:
"Dear Christ Joan, I think I may have a stroke"
"Be quiet you weak git, the woman in front is fit to burst and she isn't complaining"

PhoebeBear · 14/07/2019 23:14

@kittytiggy yeah it's a lovely name 😊
Today we chose our sons name too! I'm 36+4, really starting to feel his head now dropping futher down into my pelvis, defining feeling the pressure now lol

mumoftwo1988 · 15/07/2019 05:32

Omg my waters broke at 1.30ish still no contractions tho.... was told to put a pad on an ring day assessment at 8am if no contractions.. has anyone experienced anything like this.. freaking out abit lol

@mumoftwo1988 good luck!

My waters broke just before midnight with my first, contractions started in the middle of the night too. I remember speaking to delivery suite and them saying because he was my first I was just to turn up for my booked induction the next day as planned! When I turned up they didn’t believe I was in labour as I was very calm, so when they eventually bothered to check I was already 5cm dilated!
I think once waters have gone (at term) they like you to delivery within 24-48hours now so very soon you’ll be holding your little bubba 😁
Try walking round lots and being active (bouncing on gym ball?) - it really does help move things along.
Can’t wait to hear your announcement xxxxx

Snowflake9 · 15/07/2019 07:52

@mumoftwo1988 - how exciting! Hoping all goes well for you today. I shall keep you in my thoughts.

@kittytiggy that Joan comment made me choke on my tea!! So funny.

I am loving all the "you have to push that out you know" comments. "you don't have a very high pain threshold"

  1. I am well aware how childbirth works.

  2. I passed two huge kidney stones with no pain relief. (I passed out at work with the pain mind, by the time the paramedics came with pain relief they had already passed) so don't tell me I can't handle pain.

  3. get on with your own day and let me just enjoy being pregnant please!

Hope everyone has a great Monday! Xx

kittytiggy · 15/07/2019 08:51

@Snowflake9 yes the pain comments are a classic !!!

@mumoftwo1988 good luck!!! Flowers exciting, update us x

mumoftwo1988 · 15/07/2019 08:56

@mumoftwo1988 good luck! So exciting 👶🏼

Snowflake9 · 15/07/2019 12:34

TMI alert..

Had suffered from my friend "Roy" and his mates down below (hemmaroids) but now I have them on my perineal! That's going to hurt like a mother crusher during birth.

😭😭😭

mynameiscalypso · 15/07/2019 12:36

Good luck @mumoftwo1988!!

kittytiggy · 15/07/2019 12:43

@Snowflake9 oh dear. Think positively - you'll get a baby after all that pain, hopefully it will be cute enough to be worth it Grin

mumoftwo1988 · 15/07/2019 14:32

It was definitely my waters. Having contractions but just gotta wait at home till they get stronger and booked for induction tomorrow but I think he will be here by then lol forgot how painful it is 😂

@mumoftwo1988 so exciting!!!

kittytiggy · 15/07/2019 16:38

@mumoftwo1988 you forget the pain don't you - he will be worth it of course :)

I'm 35 weeks tomorrow, still so long to go -cries-

Lexyness · 15/07/2019 19:36

@mumoftwo1988 good luck, fingers crossed he comes before your booked induction (like my son did!)
@Snowflake9 have you tried dabbing witch hazel on Roy? With my previous dc Roy appeared during/after labour, and have never disappeared completely 🤦🏼‍♀️😭 but I swear by witch hazel more than anything the dr prescribed! Praying they don’t get huge and unbearable when I pop out this sprog 🤣 had to sit on a rubber ring with the others or I’d never have sat down at all lol x
