Hi!!

This week I have taken 4 pregnancy tests, all positive. I’m afraid to get too excited because it is so early. I’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow. I have no other signs of pregnancy so it doesn’t feel real yet. Anyone else in the same boat?

First pregnancy, so many questions but I can’t ask friends or family yet.

I'm sorry you've felt that bad, but that does make me feel better that I'm not the only one! Every app I have has so many daily reminders and articles about how important it is, which I do get and agree with, but I'm finding it so bad. My nausea doesn't seem as bad as yours in that my appetite hasn't went away at all. But I have some "food aversions" so dinners I wouldn't have an issue with, make me want to gag and I end up eating crisps and cake lol! But I'm feeling guilty, poor kid!

@Dec19baby I barely know someone who has eaten healthy during the first trimestre (maybe the lucky ones who don’t feel sick). And women with hiperemesis gravidarium are even in a worse situation as they cannot hold anything in the stomach at all...not even water. I ate really bad with my first pregnancy and the same with this one. But it will come back to normal once we start the second trimestre, don’t worry. Although you might feel some aversion with some food you used to like before pregnant during the whole pregnancy, but it is not so bad ;)

Mine is salt & vinegar chipsticks at the minute 😂... with my little boy my craving was mars bars... I had to keep some in my bedside table for when the midnight crave would kick in 😂

I have my 12 week scan today and I’m so nervous I’ve barely slept!!

@bobble53 omg same, got to sleep at 2am and been bolt upright since about 7:30am!

What time is yours? Mines not until 3! But viewing a house at 12 so hopefully that’ll pass some time!

@Ells0204 mines not until 2.30 either! I wish it was a morning appointment as I’ve been up since 6 and it’s dragging!

Good luck with the house viewing! Me and my fiancé are house hunting at the moment and I’ve never known stress like it haha x

Baby is all good and healthy! I’m 12 weeks 2 days, so pushed my due date back 3 days and I’m now due 4th Dec! So happy! We had better photos on the screen though and can’t see much on scan so I’ve no idea where to start with all the nub theories!

Well after a 20 minute walk, star jumps and hip wiggles we finally got the measurement! Measuring 12+5 so my EDD was bought forward one day to 1st December! So luckily can stay on this board haha. So happy!

Hope you don’t mind me joining! It’s my first time and I’m just over 9 weeks now so I’m just within the December due dates (baby due on Christmas Day so far! Eep!)
I’ve no idea what to expect and whilst I’ve not really had morning sickness, the fatigue is almost unbearable. I’m not sure how other mummy’s to be are coping with the tiredness?

I don't think I am coping with the tiredness! I have maps now every single day, and this is 100% not me, I have never slept randomly during the day for any length of time. I'm eating way too much junk sugary food, which probably isn't helping with the tiredness either

Me too! By about 3pm I am absolutely desperate for a nap but it’s incredibly tricky at work as on most days I’m in the office by myself and I think I’d be in a lot of trouble if I was to look up and go to sleep for half an hour! It would be just my luck that managers would turn up, haha.
I am starting to wonder if diet is making it worse but I’ve never been so desperate to eat crisps and chocolate before! If I don’t eat I feel sick, does anyone else?

I just nap when/if I need to. Even if it’s a quick five minutes with my head on the desk at work between clients. And nap when I get home if I want to.

It’s really important to try and eat a healthy diet during pregnancy, I know for the first few weeks I caved and just stuffed myself with any junk I fancied but having done some reading around what makes a healthy pregnancy diet I’ve got on top of it now, sat down with a pen and paper and wrote a list of the main food groups I need to be eating, sketched some meal ideas that fit and then made a meal plan. Went shopping yesterday for the week’s food and didn’t buy crap like crisps and chocolate as I’ll stick to my healthy diet then :)

If you feel sick unless you’re eating just eat low calorie healthy things like sugar free jellies or rice cakes or celery/carrot/sultana/walnut salad. I find keeping hydrated helps the nausea too (even though I have to take it slow as water makes me feel very sick).

@bobble53 aww so glad everything is ok, oh your the same date as me now! I got pushed back by 2 days so am due the 4th of December as well!

@1990carey aww fab!! I’m secretly hoping he or she arrives on the 5th as that’s my mums birthday who died when I was a teenager so that would be just magical!
