Hi!!

This week I have taken 4 pregnancy tests, all positive. I’m afraid to get too excited because it is so early. I’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow. I have no other signs of pregnancy so it doesn’t feel real yet. Anyone else in the same boat?

First pregnancy, so many questions but I can’t ask friends or family yet.

I thought I’d have a little bump but my tummy is flat!

I did have an early scan at 7 weeks and saw heartbeat but I’m just googling the worst things and making a mess of myself!

It’s so hard knowing there’s a little baby inside you but not seeing the progress at all. Roll on our scans x

If anyone would like to be added to the group please email me at [email protected]
I can’t add people to the group any other way x

December2019 · 13/05/2019 18:58

@bobble53 I didn't start to show at all until about 16-17 weeks... I just woke up with a very round bump one morning 😂

tri2mum · 13/05/2019 20:52

Hi everyone, been off the forum for a while so just catching up with everyone. Thankfully my weird dreams have ended only to be replaced by mad bloating, I look more pregnant as the day goes on. Had a reassurance scan couple of Fridays ago and they had me 4 days ahead of where I thought I was so think I'm somewhere around 10 weeks today. Have my booking in appt next Monday so hoping it won't be too long after for the first NHS scan.
Hope everyone else is getting along.

@Enwi

Hi lovely, sent you an email xx

Izabelus · 14/05/2019 10:58

Hello everyone! I've joined a while ago and it just doesn't feel very real... I'm pregnant with my first and apart from sore boobs I have no symptoms really... I'm going to be 7 weeks tomorrowSmile I'm thinking about going for an early scan on Saturday as I've started freaking out! Help, any ladies in a similar situation? Congratulations to you all!

Shelbybear · 14/05/2019 13:26

@Enwi I've emailed you to join to the Facebook group 👍

@Izabelus I was exactly same last time round. Only symptom was sore boobs for a few days.

This time I am just absolutely exhausted! Not even had sore boobs. I keep getting upset tummy think the baby doesn't like my diet, it likes fruit and veg 😂 only thing that seems to agree with me lately!

I just feel like I'm going to go for my scan and they'll be like, there's nothing there 😕 I'm sure plenty of us feel like that though. I'm almost 10 weeks but no scan date through yet

bobble53 · 14/05/2019 13:43

@Shelbybear I feel like that about my scan too!

Having a stressful time at the minute and lost out on a house yesterday so we are back to square one and still living with parents. So worried that we won’t buy a house in time for baby being born (been looking over a year) and haven’t stopped crying. Petrified I’m harming the baby with all my stress :(

Shelbybear · 14/05/2019 14:56

@bobble53 I'm sure it will all work out with the house, honestly!

If you end up still with parents then to be honest the extra help will be great! Not ideal I know though.

EmeraldRubyShark · 14/05/2019 15:28

I was devastated waiting for my two early scans, convinced I’d get in there and there’d be no baby or the baby had died. I was almost in tears. Somehow there was indeed a gorgeous little baby in there with a beautiful flashing heartbeat. I’m still convinced at twelve week scan I’ll arrive and they’ll find my baby had stopped growing or my body had reabsorbed it. It’s so so hard when you want it to be okay so much. We didn’t get a picture at the 7-8 week scan, so I just try close my eyes and picture what we saw on the screen to reassure myself. Or ask my oh to describe what he saw so I feel like it’s real.

December2019 · 14/05/2019 19:19

I just found baby's heartbeat on my Doppler 😍😍😍

Lilaboc1986 · 14/05/2019 21:24

Still here.

Have had 2 more early scans now (because the first one was so off with dates.) One showed the gestational sac and yolk sac, and on the last one she saw nothing until she went "WAIT!" and there was a tiny heartbeat doing its thing.

None of these scans have really looked like any scans in my previous pregnancies. The gestational sac looks empty on an internal scan but then that's how she saw the little heartbeat flutter (126 BPM), and yet on an abdominal scan you can clearly see the yolk sac (but not baby). So it's all there, but still not making sense to me.

They can tell me I'm still pregnant (measuring about a week behind where my dates should be) and tell me it's not ectopic or a blighted ovum, but that's about it. One radiologist made a comment about my uterus being "long" (WTF does that even mean?) and one commented on the scar from my c-sections (visible on the scan). I don't know if that is affecting how things are appearing.

I have yet another scan booked for tomorrow to see if we can't get to the bottom of this.

IHD83 · 15/05/2019 16:59

@gwenneh I can imagine how confusing it is for you...
I hope everything gets clarified soon and they can give you more information and all good.

I thought the c-section is normally done very low in the abdomen, so the uterus and baby should be a bit higher than that? I am talking without knowledge, so not sure how that would affect to the scan.

1990carey · 15/05/2019 18:10

One week today till my 12 weeks scan! I'm so excited but at the same time trying not to get too excited! So hoping everything's ok!
Symptoms have calmed down a lot apart from being exhausted all the time lol! But I've read thays normal because the placenta has taken over now so everything starts to feel a bit easier! I cant believe I'm nearly 3 months pregnant! It feels like it's gone so quickly but at the same time so slow lol! Cant wait to start telling more people as well!

Jonjah · 15/05/2019 19:48

Hello everyone! Been lurking a wee while, it didnt really sink in straight away. I'll be 8weeks tomorrow...due on boxing day! I've not had any scans yet so a bit nervous for that in a few weeks. Praying it will be fine! Congrats to you all xx

Ells0204 · 15/05/2019 20:25

@1990carey mines a week on Friday! I think you were the one of the ones with the same due date as me, 2nd Dec?
I’ve been reading up about when the placenta takes over as I’m still riddled with horrendous nausea and sickness so wondering if it hasn’t happened yet Confused had two early scans and everything fine but once again the reassurance has slowly faded and replaced with anxiety about the next one. Hoping the rest of this week end next week goes quickly!

Jonjah · 15/05/2019 21:14

@gwenneh interesting/good to know they said about the c-section scar affecting the scan, I had never thought about it. Hope you get proper answers tomorrow

1990carey · 15/05/2019 21:30

@Ells0204 yep due 2nd of December! Feels like ages away yet, but actually if you look at it in terms I'd weeks its only 29 weeks away! (Sounds like a lot less time)
Oh I'm sure it has happened! But I know that it can take longer for other womens symptoms to calm down and my symptoms weren't too bad at all so makes sense that what I did have calmed down quite quickly. Saying that tho, I'm so exhausted! So dont panic! Yah I'm trying to keep calm, trying not to think too much into it and trying to keep positive, obviously I'll find out for sure Wednesday and it will put me ease for a little while.
Yes need the next 6 days to go quickly!!! Very excited/nervous!

TheCatInTheSquare · 16/05/2019 13:43

Had an early dating scan, turned out the baby is a little further along then thought and due date was moved to the 2nd.

Next comes the genetic testing, which sucks to have done, was a lot more painful then advertised when we had it done last time.

gwenneh · 16/05/2019 15:44

@IHD83 it's not the external scar as much as it's the big white line of scarring across my uterus, quite near the sac.

However, I went for another ultrasound today and after what can only be described as some gymnastics, FINALLY had a clear shot of baby. It moves my due date from before Christmas to after, but everything looks quite healthy and it all finally looks the way I remember from my other pregnancies.

So very jealous of those of you rounding the corner on 12 weeks though -- waiting for the grinding exhaustion to lift.

What did this testing involve? Is it standard for everyone?

IHD83 · 16/05/2019 16:07

@gwenneh I see, yes it makes sense. Silly me I didn’t think about the internal scar 🤣
Anyway, congratulations for seeing the baby finally!👏👏 I imagine you feel a bit less stressed about it now :)

Thund4rcat · 16/05/2019 16:10

Hi folks, sorry to say I am out. After seeing the heartbeat at 7 weeks, had another scan today at 9 weeks and no heartbeat found, so am having surgery tomorrow to remove it. Very sad. Feels weird because I have been so ill this past month with hyperemesis. Will take a few months off then try IVF again with one of the frozen embryos I have left.
