Hi!!

This week I have taken 4 pregnancy tests, all positive. I’m afraid to get too excited because it is so early. I’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow. I have no other signs of pregnancy so it doesn’t feel real yet. Anyone else in the same boat?

First pregnancy, so many questions but I can’t ask friends or family yet.

Hi

I just posted on a separate thread. I'm due 1st Dec. I felt nauseous last week not so much this week.

I'm having to wee so regularly it's driving me crazy 😩.

I'm also getting mild period pain gripes occasionally but not severe, what I'm a little worried about is I've had a bit of blood every third day. Only small when I wipe has anyone else had this? Sorry if TMI X

Andersonx3 · 03/04/2019 14:00

@Lorna2019 my husband didn't even react to the first test as he was so shocked haha!

Ooh so close!

I've been having cramps, quite sharp but mild at the same time. Trying to be as relaxed as possible as googling everything just makes you fear everything!

I wish I had gone off food, I'm always hungry!

Lorna2019 · 03/04/2019 14:29

@Andersonx3 I was actively trying to loose weight because I didn't think I'd get pregnant so quickly. I wanted to loose 3stone and I lost 1, ended up getter my pregnant. I'm grateful for the lack of appetite as I want to continue to loose weight because of all the risks (never google at 3am) because my BMI is over 30. Knowing my luck, come 6 weeks I will be eating everything in site!

My cramps were really bothering me, I was worried something was wrong. Def gonna go for an early scan!

X

Lorna2019 · 03/04/2019 14:31

@Josie5555 I think it's normal. I've not had any spotting, but as long as it isn't heavy then I think is alright. It's hard not to worry, my sister is due in May and she bled throughout her whole pregnancy. X

Bumpingalong84 · 03/04/2019 14:33

@Josie5555 I had spotting till 6weeks in my first pregnancy I think it’s pretty normal if it’s light spotting. Fingers crossed it’s kust implantation. Congratulations

MindyMoonstone · 03/04/2019 14:34

Hi ladies, spotting is normal but doesn’t stop it being terrifying.

I was home alone Friday night having some pretty crappy cramps, then went to the loo and wiped a little bit of blood. I was in floods of tears and phoned my OH and my mom sobbing. Both were not concerned 😂 mom told me to calm down because the stress wouldn’t be helpful and I actually haven’t had any since so I’ve slowly relaxed again. I just wasn’t expecting to see it so it really scared me!! But on reflection it was only a little smudge.

On the November thread there are a lot of ladies who have had quite a lot of bleeding and their little ones have hung in there so try not to panic Flowers

Josie5555 · 03/04/2019 14:39

Thank you all so much it is reassuring to know you aren't the only ones with cramps and spotting 😩

Congratulation to you all too. I'm looking forward to following our journeys 🤞

@MindyMoonstone completely, I remember completely freaking out and was on knicker check everytime I went to the loo expecting to see a pool of blood!

The whole 12 weeks till can date is a completely anxious filled time full of worry and +/- feeling completely pants.

Here’s to mid May and all of us having a little reassurance

Andersonx3 · 03/04/2019 16:11

@Lorna2019 well done on losing a stone! I'm slightly overweight and have really tried but I have arthritis in my spine which makes exercising (and everything else in life) particularly hard. I walk the dog a few miles a day and it keeps me active enough! I'd say listen to your body, eat as much good stuff as you can and try to keep treats out of the house to limit temptation!

Cramping is normal but it can be scary Sad

happilyevernever · 03/04/2019 16:22

Hi, I’m already on another thread but I thought I’d join here to get more support. From the NHS website my Due date is the 6th. This is my second baby, my DS is 22 months old. I’m only 18 so a bit nervous but would like to talk to other expecting mums

1990carey · 03/04/2019 19:31

@Lorna2019 that's just like me! I was on slimming world prior to pregnancy, and lost a stone and 3 pounds. This pregnancy wasn't expected tbh tho. I'm still gonna continue with slimming world tho, as like u I'm conscious of my BMI, I'm slightly over 30 but would like to try to get under before my 2nd trimester if possible? And I've been getting cramps too! So I feel ur pain! They are scary!

IoMoon · 03/04/2019 19:55

I did not find cramps that worrying - I just presumed they came from the uterus growing and stretching to accommodate the baby!

Lorna2019 · 03/04/2019 20:53

@Andersonx3 Wow, that's amazing! Loads of people would happily just sit on the sofa.

My cramps have eased off for today, they seem to be coming and going. I just prefer it if they are going...

Hope you've had a good day! X

Camparisafari · 03/04/2019 20:56

Hiya, I’d like to join please! Due date is 2 Dec according to NHS website and this is my second baby. Came off pill in February so v happy it happened so quickly. First baby was first month of trying but I am late 30’s so was prepared for a longer wait. Told DH on his birthday last week, we went for lunch out and I told him he would have to wait to end of the year to get his best present!

Lorna2019 · 03/04/2019 20:56

@1990carey Well, this is my first time being pregnant so I genuinely don't know what to expect. I don't know what is or isn't normal. And because I want it so much, I have become so in tune with my body and I notice everything. It's annoying.

That seems achievable! Especially if you are only slightly over. No chance of me getting there unless I cut off a limb. Weirdly I too lost exactly 1.3lb! X

Lorna2019 · 03/04/2019 20:57

@Camparisafari Congratulations. How lovely!!! X

Bumpingalong84 · 03/04/2019 21:05

Ahh @Camparisafari that’s so lovely. What a lovely birthday gift.

I know what you mean @Lorna2019 it’s funny how you notice things when you start really paying attention.

How’s everyone feeling this evening?

MrsS7 · 03/04/2019 21:17

@Bumpingalong84 feeling good this evening, how about you?
Feeling more positive after a Pilates class and the return of some symptoms putting me at ease. Determined to try to stay positive and not always thinking that the worst will happen- a few weeks ago I’d basically convinced myself we were having fertility problems and that’s clearly not true, so I need to stop overthinking haha.
Can’t wait to start telling our family in a couple of weeks if all goes well.

1990carey · 03/04/2019 21:27

@Lorna2019 yah it's my first time too and I'm exactly the same, every twinge I get I'm worrying about! And I have to keep going to the toilet to check I'm not bleeding! Yah my pain was bad the first like 3 days after I missed my period, and a week later they have eased off a lot, I get a little pain every now and then but nothing so bad.
@MrsS7 I was convinced I had fertility problems as well, because I tried with an ex about 7 years ago but never got pregnant, and I know the later you wait in my family the harder it gets, but obviously that isn't the case! Your not the only one over thinking! But remember your more likely to have a successful pregnancy! Someone sent me the link to a site that shows your the percentages each day, and its really encouraging to see how much it goes down each day!

Bumpingalong84 · 03/04/2019 21:31

That’s a brilliant plan 👍🏼 I did That first time round and was far more relaxed. I just seem a bit more anxious second time round but trying to stay calm and busy.

I’m telling my parents this weekend. They were living abroad last time we fell pregnant so we couldn’t tell them face to face. Now they live a few hours up north so we are there this weekend and will be sharing the news Smile

Melonise · 03/04/2019 21:44

Glad the coming and going of symptoms seems normal. Yesterday was constant twinges and hunger, today barely a thing and ate normally. I'm also doing pant checks all day.

@MindyMoonstone I'm using Flo the period tracker app but it has a pregnancy function too so I've activated that. Not sure why it's so out because it knows the day of my last period etc. I've manually updated it now. It's a good app with relevant articles everyday. I tried downloading the Babycentre app but it was so crowded with ads and it kept trying to make me read an article and having a second child, when this is my first!

Anyone else found a good pregnancy tracker app?

Bumpingalong84 · 03/04/2019 21:54

I’m using ovia which I used first time round and I liked it

Ells0204 · 03/04/2019 22:23

Tentatively joining after a miscarriage last April. Taken me a year to get here again and I think I’m 5+1 today. First time this morning woke up feeling a bit sicky and weak and shaky like being slightly hungover. Not sure if it’s coincidence or pregnancy related Hmm

This will be my 1st baby but 3rd pregnancy Sad hoping 3rd times a charm and I’ll get to meet my rainbow baby in December. EDD 2nd December as well by the way, I noticed someone else had the same date as me! But going from suspected O day might be more like 3rd Smile

Here’s to praying for a sticky Christmas baby!

Maizie83 · 04/04/2019 00:05

Oh wow ladies, it's so nice to read all your stories. I relate! I'm right there with you - analysing every twitch and cramp. Feeling anxious when there's no symptoms. It's like you want the symptoms but you really don't! The one thing is feeling queasy and eating being the only thing that remedies it.

Last night I was awake for hours with a slight tummy rumble/ nausea and couldn't get back to sleep. Got up in the middle of the night to eat something and then went straight back to sleep. Bizarre!

Constant cramps on the right pelvic area coming and going. It all sounds normal and positive. Occasional sharp boob pain but not much else going on up there.

It's great to come on and read up on how you're all doing!
