Hi!!

This week I have taken 4 pregnancy tests, all positive. I’m afraid to get too excited because it is so early. I’ll be 5 weeks tomorrow. I have no other signs of pregnancy so it doesn’t feel real yet. Anyone else in the same boat?

First pregnancy, so many questions but I can’t ask friends or family yet.

I’ve told my mum I’m pregnant and she was excited, but we’re scared to tell the rest of the family because of the reactions they might have

Gothqueen · 05/04/2019 16:46

Hi, congratulations to everyone. I'm due 2nd December and I still keep staring at the 2 positive tests I took on Tuesday in complete disbelief. I hope everyone goes on to have happy healthy pregnancies ❤ xx

Lorna2019 · 05/04/2019 17:41

@Gothqueen Congratulations! X

Melonise · 05/04/2019 20:29

@ells0204 I had strange shooting pains one day a week or two ago so probably around implantation? Felt like it was up the sides of the..."canal"?? I hadn't tested or anything yet and kept wondering how it had happened like maybe I'd been rough with it!? Blush

Lorna2019 · 05/04/2019 20:40

@Bumparound I ended up telling my old line manager today. We are really good friends and I've just been shafted with a very long, very complex and very stressful project. I didn't want to tell him but I have a duty of care to myself and he will look out for me at work and make sure I'm not overloaded. I then made him to swear secrecy as I've not told my family.

I have been so emotional today, he got all teary eyed when I told him so then I started crying. My team were like 'Are you alright' as I'm welling up to a Boyband playlist on Spotify. And I was like 'leaky eye, can't stop yawning'

My sis is having a baby at the end of the month - I don't want to swoop in after and be like 'hey guys! I'm pregnant!' And steal her thunder but she miscarried and it hit her really hard as well as my family hence why I'm a little reserved until I know what is happening.

1990carey · 05/04/2019 21:09

@Gothqueen congratulations!!! I'm due 2nd of December as well!!
Feeling quite nauseous this evening ladies, hoping it's just a passing thing and wont hang about! Also just finished for the Easter holidays! So so happy that I can sleep lots for the next two weeks Haha!!! So so so tired atm!

Bumparound · 05/04/2019 22:16

@Lorna2019 bless you! You’re totally right about your duty of care to yourself - having someone else on side to help keep you from getting overloaded is definitely the right thing to do. Sorry to hear about your sister too but hope that she has lots of happiness at the end of the month. I’m sure she won’t think that you’re stealing her thunder and will just be over the moon to be an aunty, and have a cousin for her little one that will be so close in age! Flowers

@1990carey oh what I’d give for two weeks off right now! Enjoy!

Masha31 · 06/04/2019 07:23

Hello everyone, I'm joining the club!

I'm totally shocked but over the moon too :)

I think I'll be due about the 5th or 6th December. This is my second pregnancy and I have a 5 year old.

Congratulations everyone xx

1990carey · 06/04/2019 08:03

@Masha31 congratulations and welcome to the club! Lol

Masha31 · 06/04/2019 08:08

Aww, thanks!

happilyevernever · 06/04/2019 09:04

Hi everyone, dropped off this thread a bit. It moves so fast!. Congratulations to all the new comers!.

I’ve noticed that I’m waking up a lot earlier than usual, which is what I did with Vinnie. It’s annoying when I just want to get that extra bit of sleep.

springspringing · 06/04/2019 09:05

Hello!!!
Could I join please? 😬😬😬
Due mid December 🙈🙈🙈🙈

Ells0204 · 06/04/2019 09:26

@happilyevernever funny you say that..I’m a real pro at lie-ins and today I was bolt upright at 8:30 and don’t even feel tired! For a Saturday for me that is not normal Grin my nausea has really kicked in today though so I don’t really want to go back to sleep or I might feel worse. It’s like having a really bad hangover Envy

@gothqueen congrats and welcome, there’s loads of us due 2nd December! There must have been something in the water haha

agteacht · 06/04/2019 09:30

I love my sleep but I have also now suddenly become an early bird 😮
I think it's the lack of caffeine!!! Gone cold turkey since BFP...

happilyevernever · 06/04/2019 09:50

How weird that a lot of us are waking up earlier, I didn’t even know that was anything to do with pregnancy!. I think mine is due to nausea as well, I feel so dizzy that I can’t lie down for long, so as soon as I open my eyes I’m up. I think it’s worry for me too, I’ve been stressing so much since getting my BFP as it means we have to move. So I’m trying to figure out how we’ll be able to do that.

@springspringing Welcome and Congratulations!

xoxhayleyxox · 06/04/2019 10:11

Hi ladies! Just dropping in to say hey and congrats on your BFPs. I got mine this week and due mid December!
Has anyone started getting morning sickness yet? I've been fine until today and can't even keep a cup of tea down! 😩

happilyevernever · 06/04/2019 10:13

@xoxhayleyxox Everything is making me sick, I’m struggling to change my DS’s nappies without throwing up. I’m hoping it starts to ease soon

xoxhayleyxox · 06/04/2019 10:16

@happilyevernever how many weeks are you? I didn't think it'd start for another couple of weeks. My OH just made eggs on toast for himself and the smell and look has just made me throw up again😩😂

bobble53 · 06/04/2019 10:22

Has anybody noticed their hair a lot nicer? I’m only 6 weeks but my hair feels amazing!!

Melonise · 06/04/2019 10:33

Congratuations to the newbies!

I've been waking up earlier needing to pee - like 4.30am. Then I can't get back to sleep. Not feeling too tired yet but will probably hit me in the next few days.

Ells0204 · 06/04/2019 10:38

@xoxhayleyxox I’m sure I’m not even 6 weeks yet but the morning sickness has hit me hard today. Everywhere I’ve read seems to say that’s too early? I haven’t vomited, I’m typically not much of a vomiter anyway...but this morning it feels like I drank 10 vodka redbulls last night! Definitely didn’t Confused

xoxhayleyxox · 06/04/2019 10:51

@Ells0204 I've seen that it can start at 5/6 weeks but sometimes earlier. I'm only 4 weeks 😩 hope this isn't a sign of things to come. 😂

MrsS7 · 06/04/2019 10:52

I’ve been feeling very nauseous the past few days but haven’t thrown up yet. Find it quite reassuring when I feel a bit queasy though, it’s when I don’t really feel any symptoms at all that I worry (even though I’m sure it’s probably normal to not feel symptoms 24/7)

happilyevernever · 06/04/2019 10:53

@xoxhayleyxox I’m 5 weeks, I didn’t think I’d be getting many symptoms this early, but I don’t know if it’s because it’s my second pregnancy, I’ve heard that everything can come a bit earlier.

@bobble53 Lucky you! My hair, and skin, is an oily mess!

mypethip · 06/04/2019 11:46

Hello all, got my bfp on Monday. 4+6 today apparently, due December 8th. I've also been waking up at 4am 😳 which I hadn't realised was common. We were actually getting ready to start Ivf so this is something of a shock, and I'm super anxious about something going wrong. Just trying to take it one day at a time. The next few weeks until first scan are going to seem like an eternity. For the people that have been pregnant before, has any one had an early scan, and wiukd they reccomend it or could it just cause more worry if there is not much to see?
