Hi @CowBrow and everyone, thought I would start a new thread since the old one has filled up and I can't find another! If there is one and I've missed it, let me know how's everyone doing?

@HarryPottersSecretSister they generally won't do a smear when you are pregnant because it affects the results so you'll need to reschedule for after you give birth.

@flowersaremyfave initially the midwife will use the date of your last period, and then they'll measure at the 12 week scan and adjust if necessary. Babies don't often come on time though!

@SadieSue29 generally the advice is to keep exercising but not to start anything new. I'll keep going to the gym and running while I can. For yoga you might want to find a specific pregnancy class.

Did a sneaky scan on myself at work. Definitely something in there, didn't see a heartbeat, but the scanner I used hasn't exactly got the highest resolution. Plus I'm no sonographer. Pretty sure I had the probe pointed in the right direction, but that's the full extent of my knowledge.

3 weeks until the 12 week scan.... Can't come soon enough.

It sucks feeling shite doesn't it. I'm pretty sure I didn't feel this sucky last time but it might be because last time I didn't have a 5 year old to take charge of.
Thankfully dh is being quite helpful but I fear he is getting tired of my lack of effort with anything. I've tried to tell him that it feels like being hungover all the time with the addition of cramps, knicker checker and complete paranoia. I'm not sure he really understands and his patience will be wearing thin very soon. Hopefully he can cope for another few weeks as I'm pretty sure it starts to get better around week 13!
I have my booking on Friday which I'm looking forward to. At the moment it feels like you're in your own little world so to actually speak to a midwife will be nice.

I have not been able to sleep well the last week. Need go toilet then just toss and turn. But get soo tired come evening, and hunger is killin me. Feel like all I do is eat! Git a range of nuts and dried fruit. Just hope I can get past 12 weeks then I can rest easy

Evening all from the Caribbean Sea having left Key West approximately 2 hours ago. Had a fabulous day exploring the island with friends, had a nice lunch in a local restaurant but was too full for Key Lime Pie so had to give it a miss this time. Miami tomorrow and a trip to Millionaires Row and the Everglades!!

Feeling quite well today despite being very bloated!!

@Rememberallball you couldn't have taken the pie to go?! Pregnant prerogative to ask!!!

Can I join? Found out 3 days ago, Due 23rd October and quite in shock. This is my third and DD2 has her birthday Oct 22nd. She actually said the other day she wants a baby sister for her birthday so that when the older one won't play with her she has someone else to play with, this was before we knew! Feeling worried about impact on them etc, they will be 6 and 8.

@BobbingAbout I'm in a similar situation. Have a 9 and 6 year old. My 9 year old is so grown up and loves little babies so i think she will help a lot. I think 6 and 8 are a great age they will love having a new baby.

Try not to worry and enjoy it.

New thread! I wondered why I couldn't reply to you @saffy347 🙈😂

So saw the midwife yesterday and she was very helpful at all 🙈 she had never been to the surgery before and was standing in for someone who was sick. It was a complete shambles, she didn't know where anything was and couldn't take my bloods or take a urine sample because of it being Friday and the labs were closed 🙈

I've got to do a sample Monday and drop it into the surgery and then call a different surgery in another town to book in my bloods 🙄 also got to wait for my midwife to call me to arrange a home visit.

I mentioned that I didn't know how far along I was because I can't remember when my last period was and that I had a brown bleed on Xmas day so she's told me to just use the 25th as the date (why have I got such a crap memory 😩) but I vaguely remember something in the beginning of the new year. I've gone through texts /photos around that date to see if anything helps me remember but nothing!!

Thanks Baba11. You are probably right, before I got pregnant I definitely felt that way. It's just since I got the positive test that I can only focus on the negatives!

@Lauragrace88 I'm not too bad, but feeling a general low-level nausea about 75% of the time, which is quite annoying. However, tbh I am actually enjoying every single symptom, having previously suffered two miscarriages and a chemical pregnancy after trying since Sept 2016. Just hoping and praying that this will be a sticky bean! How about you? How long have you been trying and how are you feeling?

I’m feeling very tired and crampy today, with a bit of that dull dragging-down feeling you get when your period’s starting. Doing a bit of knicker-watching but there’s nothing to see, so at just telling myself it’s the little bean getting comfy, and my uterus stretching a bit.

If all goes to plan with this pregnancy, we’re going to have a nearly eight year age gap. My daughter is constantly asking if she can have a brother or sister. Not many of her friends are only children, so she sees everyone as having siblings. I’m hoping she does actually adjust ok to having to share us.

Hi! I'm now 7+5, been suffering a horrible cold/cough/tonsils thing for last two weeks! Pretty tired which is annoying because I'm SO hungry, I'm eating more than usual. Still no nausea for me. Occasionally get mild discomfort in my lower abdomen but not real pain, and spotting or anything. Waiting on my blood tests to come back, with first midwife appointment on 6th March. Even my DH has said this waiting is really hard!!

So the other day I found out that you can't go on the ferry to France over 32 weeks. Damn it! We booked our holiday very early jan to Normandy and spent ages thinking about it. Wasn't keen on a long flight of we did get pg so thought we'd do France. I chilled, long crossing with a cabin etc. Its so frustrating and feel I should've looked into it more. We'll prob lose the money we've already paid (i think about £150) which is rubbish as we were doing it for a cheaper break. And now instead of a 40min drive the other side, we'll have 3hrs which considering we live in Lancashire and have already planned an overnight stop at my parents down south to make it easier just means more time in the car (at possibly 34-35 weeks)

Ah @Frizzy1986 that's really annoying! I can see why the ferry company have that rule but it doesn't exactly make life easier for you, does it? I'm sure it will be OK but maybe plan lots of stops x

I am 5+3 now and experiencing an almost constant very low-level nausea. 'Morning sickness' - ha! I was lying in bed at 11pm last night feeling sick! Anyone else got this? It's really annoying!
