Hi @CowBrow and everyone, thought I would start a new thread since the old one has filled up and I can't find another! If there is one and I've missed it, let me know Smile how's everyone doing?

@Emjm9 it can vary depending on where you are. I self referred at about 4 weeks, but have no underlying issues of concern. I had a date for my booking within 2 weeks and it is at the end of this week (I'll be 8+6).
If its the same as last time then I'll get the details about how to book the 12 week scan at my booking appointment.
Id maybe give it another week and then chase it up.
I'm often hungry, I can hear my tummy rumbling when I wake up which is new. I've also bloated loads over the past few days so I'm convinced it's getting really noticeable as although I wear skater dresses that skim over the tummy, it's started to be larger than my boobs so it's not skimming so much anymore.

womaninkent · 27/02/2019 13:53

@emjm9 mine took a few days to come through. If you are worried you can always find their number and ring them direct-I’ve had a referral from my gp (not for pregnancy) just go missing in the past.

HarryPottersSecretSister · 27/02/2019 14:27

Ladies, so horrendously sick without actually getting sick. Really kicked in over the last 2 days. I wish I'd vomit. Like many of you - eating carbs is the only thing that stops it (briefly). It's very difficult to hide this in work.

Exhausted, nauseous, sore nipples, headachey, sweaty, emotional wreck: I cried yesterday because the weather was warm.

Hoping this is all a good sign.

5 + 5 today.

Love to you all x

Nextchapter19 · 27/02/2019 14:49

@HarryPottersSecretSister I know the feeling!!!! Am 6+6 and feel all of those things. Only reason I feel better today is through eating more. Forcing myself to eat. But only beige coloured foods!!!! This feels hideous like an awful hangover.

HarryPottersSecretSister · 27/02/2019 14:55

Aww Nextchapter sorry you're feeling rubbish (but also hoping this is a great sign). With you on the brown food. Just texted DH and asked him to get me supernoodles and cream crackers (and yes, I intend to have them both together) Blush

kdd1980 · 27/02/2019 15:32

I have just had an idea and wanted to share with those who are trying to keep quiet unwell 12 weeks! Lent starts next week, I'm going to say I've given up caffeine and alcohol for lent! By the time lent is over it will be 12 weeks! Wooo

Tora4 · 27/02/2019 15:50

@kdd1980 that's my plan too to tell work I've given up caffeine for lent 😂 but I've not had a tea at work for 2 weeks.... my staff usually keep my cup full and I'm stopping them.

So not sure they will buy it- I've also been working from home a lot the last few weeks due to an injury, and phasing myself back in- can't drive in rush hour as it's longer and more painful... not sure they are buying it but I keep reminding them I hurt, my manager knows I'm expecting so is being supportive of my decisions. It also helps in the morning as I am really struggling to eat- takes about an hour to eat breakfast. And I feel so sick... So gives me extra time before I have to leave!

Dyra · 27/02/2019 16:39

Mmmmm. Cream crackers and supanoodles sounds amazing.

I keep having to pop over to one of the canteens at work. The packed lunch I bring just isn't big enough, and then when I get hungry I get super nauseated. Just hate that I'm putting on weight again. I'm obese, but I had been doing well in losing weight until the nausea kicked in. Oh well. 9+5 today and all symptoms now seem to be fading at least. Might be able to start jogging again. Stupid sore boobs.

HarryPottersSecretSister · 27/02/2019 17:22

Dyra with butter. Its amazing. I bet Gordon Ramsey is absolutely shaking in his boots.

I'm exactly the same re starving and trying not put on too much (more!) weight. Today I've decided to give into it and just eat/ do whatever I need to do to get through these first few weeks.
Glad your symptoms are easing and yay to bring almost 10 weeks!! 🙌

PostiveThinkingRainbow · 27/02/2019 17:56

Just got back from our first scan at the clinic, officially 6weeks and 6 days.
To our surprise not one but two sacs and two heart beats.... in shock as twins it is!

womaninkent · 27/02/2019 18:09

Omg @positivethinkingrainbow that’s amazing. Did you have two embryos transferred?

Nextchapter19 · 27/02/2019 18:12

@PositiveThinkingRainbow oh wow!!!! A huge, double congrats! Did you have any idea? What a day for you!

Jodie6 · 27/02/2019 18:12

@PostiveThinkingRainbow congratulations! That is such a lovely find, and amazing to look forward to.

I'm 7weeks 3 days and had one sickness feeling when a take away arrived the other day but other than that I've not had any sickness yet. My boobs have doubled in size and my waistline seems to be following the same trend.

I may have jumped the gun a bit but I bought a maternity pair of work trousers from GAP because mine were just so tight. They are exactly the same style as my normal trousers but have an expandable section so nobody can tell. Huge relief in wearing them, I know it's probably blaring but at least I can go back to the trousers after the bloating but as I grow.

Dreamer2019 · 27/02/2019 18:30

@PostiveThinkingRainbow wow! Congratulations! That's lovely news that you're expecting twins

HarryPottersSecretSister · 27/02/2019 18:31

Oh wow @PostiveThinkingRainbow how amazing! Huge congratulations ❤️

Rememberallball · 27/02/2019 18:34

Thank you ladies, it was a shock but not a bad one.
We were only going to transfer one, like we did with our first failed cycle.
This cycle we did a FET, they thawed one which was not looking great, so they thawed as second one. They both survived the night, the first one was very small compared to the second one which was almost hatching.
They wanted to discard the first small embroy as they said it had such a small chance anyway. I asked them to put them both in as I could not bare the thought of the little one being discarded as it was too poorly quality to refreeze.
So it must of been a real little fighter as they now both measure the same

PostiveThinkingRainbow · 27/02/2019 18:55

@Rememberallball OMG can you believe it, both twins and only two weeks apart😂😂

Frizzy1986 · 27/02/2019 19:05

@positivethinkingrainbow how amazing. I'm really chuffed for you but also so glad I've only got 1 growing! My mum is a twin so I know there was a slightly higher chance for us and I was genuinely dreading the possibility. I'll be happy with a family of 4 and twins would make us into a 5 which would just be too much for me to handle without family support close by.

@harrypotterssecretsister OMG I literally bought myself 3 packs of supernoodles before work today because I was craving them last night to get through the nausea. I'm having breadsticks instead of crackers though. I was hoping to ask dh to get some last night but I cut his hair for him and after his shower he appeared in his Pjs. Obviously I had been in mine for hour but was hoping I could send him out to the shops.
We've had quesedillas for tea and I normally enhale the whole thing but I only managed half before I felt sick. It could be the pack of mini eggs I wolfed down earlier though. Am still feeling nauseous now 😔
I remember my nausea lasted til around 12 weeks last time as before my 12 week scan was the one and only time I found myself heaving over the toilet.

flowersaremyfave · 27/02/2019 19:37

Congratulations @PostiveThinkingRainbow🎉
My db and sil are expecting twins, it's gonna be a year of babies for my family 🎉

HarryPottersSecretSister · 27/02/2019 20:11

@saffy347 thank you so much for that. Honestly- I was feeling so shit earlier that I had a little cry but your wee pep talk is really encouraging and helpful. I have been taking some comfort in the fact that this level of sick probably means things are going well inside xx

@Frizzy1986 we're obviously soul mates (with exceptional food tastes). I think I might add bread sticks to the shopping list...

@PostiveThinkingRainbow what a gorgeous story about your little fighter! ❤️

sal1987 · 27/02/2019 21:19

@PostiveThinkingRainbow wow I'm so excited for you! You have an amazing story to create your little twins.

@HarryPottersSecretSister I completely understand your pain, I'm not enjoying this part of pregnancy, the tiredness is killing me and I hate feeling sick!! Just want this stage to be over but feel the next 6 weeks are going to drag so much!!

HarryPottersSecretSister · 27/02/2019 21:56

@sal1987 sorry to hear you're struggling too 😔 I have to admit though, this thread is a Godsend. Can't speak to anyone else really about it (DH tries, bless him but he just doesn't get it) and it's comforting when others understand and are experiencing much the same at the same time. I hope you start to feel much better soon.

Know a lot of these things are just old wives tales but I'm now convinced I'm having a girl. I was this level of sick with my girls but definitely don't recall the same with my DS.

Anyone else have any guesses or feelings re the sex of your bumps? (Based on my very exact science above? 😂👍)

Frizzy1986 · 27/02/2019 22:09

@harrypotterssecretsister I have no idea and won't find out til the end. I'm just hoping for one that sleeps better than the last. 8 months old before we got a shred of sleeping more than 2-3 hours at night or screaming for 2hrs before falling asleep. Pretty sure the first time she slept through was when she was 15 months.
