Hi @CowBrow and everyone, thought I would start a new thread since the old one has filled up and I can't find another! If there is one and I've missed it, let me know Smile how's everyone doing?

good luck for your scan this evening @harryharry hope all goes well.

secretlyhermione · 03/04/2019 15:10

Hi all, been a while since I posted :) Hope everyone is doing well!
I have my scan tomorrow, should be at 11 weeks 4 days then, last scan was at 7 weeks so hoping everything is ok :-)
I also feel very normal and haven't gained weight.... my main symptoms are sore boobs and some cramps once in a while (especially when I sneeze!)
Very excited to see the little bean tomorrow, boyfriend will be joining (he was abroad for work for the first scan) so will be a really special moment!
Question to the group: is anyone considering doing the harmony test? I'm planning to speak to my doctor about it tomorrow, and would like to do it before Easter.... thoughts?

fluffyunicorns86 · 03/04/2019 15:12

@NMCB I know the feeling with the wait for the scan I finally had mine yesterday and felt like it was dragging along lol. also a very nervous and anxious pregnant lady here but we have all got each other to try and help others through it

NMCB · 03/04/2019 15:15

Amazing, how did it go?

I’ve got a 2 week count down until my scan....roll on 17th

fluffyunicorns86 · 03/04/2019 15:17

@secretlyhermione good luck for your scan tomorrow. I had 2 early scans 1 at very beginning for bleeding and found out I wasn't as far along as I thought I was, and another for pain which put me at 10 weeks and then yesterday I had my scan and was put to 13+1 and everything was fine :) awww will be a special moment for you both. My partner never got to come to my early scans so he only saw baby once yesterday. Hope everyones symptoms fade soon and you start to feel better. And those worring I am with you when my symptoms cleared at 10-11 weeks, I still get few headaches trying to recover from a cold and sore boobs still but everything else is ok. cramps occasionally especially when I sneeze

fluffyunicorns86 · 03/04/2019 15:19

@NMCB it went great thank you definitely put my mind to rest for now anyway. Them 2 weeks will hopefully go fast for you so you can see your precious baby. Gave me a due date of 7th October so due 10 days before my birthday lol

faelavie · 03/04/2019 15:24

@fluffyunicorns86 My due date is 8 days before my birthday! 🤣 All the best people are born in October

NMCB · 03/04/2019 15:30

@fluffyunicorns86 @faelavie I'm due a day before Halloween, bound to have a little devil Wink

@fluffyunicorns86 thank you :)

@saffy347 I don't live in the UK, but yes the NIPT tests are done alongside the NT, so this would just be as an extra precaution. Here it's also quite costly, but I have friends who have also done it (same age when they were pregnant) and I guess it's just to feel more at peace that everything is well. Also you get to know the gender earlier (although that's not my mainr eason for doing it).

@faelavie Yes my mum was born in October too lol definitely best people born October lol

Doop · 03/04/2019 16:08

@HarryHarry i have had tender and massive boobs, terrible fatigue and a really bad back....but its always the sickness that people say is a good sign and i had everything but the bad back last time.
Have you had your scan? Hope it goes well x

secretlyhermione · 03/04/2019 16:43

@saffy347 I'll see what the doctor says tomorrow, but I think we probably will go for it :) So excited to see the little bean after so long!

2018isanewyear · 03/04/2019 17:46

@NMCB I was exactly the same as you I won't tell you to relax as I know how annoying it is, I also had an early scan (even though we did last time and it still didn't work out) and it reassured me, hope it's done the same for you? I was an absolute mess on Monday as soon as we got in the room for our 12 weeks scan. But the lady was lovely and made sure I knew everything is fine before she did all the important bits. I hope the next couple of weeks go quick for you!

princesstinnedpeach · 03/04/2019 18:03

If it's true that the sickness is the sign of a healthy baby then this little rapscallion will be coming out an Olympic medallist! Grin that or there's two of them in there...I'm still showing no outward signs though (other than profuse vomiting) so I doubt that. I'm so anxious/impatient for my scan next week to check that everything's okay so we can tell everyone (well, all of the 3-5 people left on the planet that we haven't already told...)

I had a call today from the pre term clinic I will be having another scan at 16 weeks with them but think it's to check baby and length of my cervix. That's on the 25th April.

NMCB · 03/04/2019 18:54

@2018isanewyear yeah it made me happy to see the heartbeat at 7 weeks but seems crazy to wait 5 weeks to see baby bean again....I'm just being impatient. Glad your scan went well, when's your due date?

I need to just enjoy being pregnant and think how lucky I am not to be suffering with morning sickness

princesstinnedpeach · 03/04/2019 18:55

@saffy347 I'm 12+1 and have no bump. I keep getting really bloated and looking pregnant but then it disappears! I can imagine it's a relief for you to tell people if you're showing a wee bit. Do you like having the bump? I kinda want mine to show up but also don't want to take not having one for granted!

2018isanewyear · 03/04/2019 19:13

@NMCB im due 13th October, the weeks seem to fly by but already feels like we have known for ages so was a relief when we got to the 12 weeks scan done!

@saffy347 I'm the same. I kept thinking it was bloating but I can no longer suck it in.
So I'm wanting and eating marmite on toast, love it.
Today my horrible watery taste in mouth has come back and the feeling of something in my throat. Not had it for about a week. Hoping it's a one off, 14 weeks tomorrow

Claireb2203 · 03/04/2019 20:44

Downside is too much toast makes me bloat
