I’m sure there’s loads of threads like this!
I’m due March 12th with my first - a little girl.
I have 10+2 days left and I am beyond bored! I have gone through clothes so many times and arranged them, I have washed all the pushchair and Moses basket and cot stuff. I have the majority of stuff we need only need a few minor bits (bathing stuff, extra bedding etc) but waiting on money for that!
I have had the easiest pregnancy only really suffering with back ache and hip pain every so often (touch wood it doesn’t change) and it still doesn’t feel real that I am having a baby but I’m impatient and bored now!
Anyone else feeling the same?!

I could have written this post myself. I'm due in January and know exactly how you feel. There's only so much nesting I can do. I want to put the car seat in the car, just so I have something to do. It's horrible when its just a waiting game now. Any little twinge or painful braxton hicks and i think, yep this is it. But nope. All I can say is find a series to binge watch and hopefully it will take your mind off it x

You still have a quarter of the pregnancy to go! Try to distract yourself, the last trimester is long and slow, you’ll need to find some way to pass the time. Maybe try to focus on something not baby related? Soon, it will take over your whole life. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

BeverlyZimek · 30/12/2018 20:35

I’m pregnant with twins and due February 14th (so I’ll probably give birth late January/early February) and I can seriously relate 😂 that’s why I’ve joined this website, so I can attempt to keep my mind occupied by talking to other pregnant women. One piece of advice I have though, is too also do things that don’t relate to the pregnancy because even though you should be thinking of your baby a lot, it’s good to focus on other things as well. I personally have been enjoying going out for walks with my dogs to help pass the time!

BeverlyZimek · 30/12/2018 20:37

Also do you know what you are having then and picked out a name? I’m having two girls but haven’t chosen a name quite yet (I know their middles names though) xx

Firsttimetobe2019 · 30/12/2018 20:47

@BeverlyZimek I have my heart set on Bonnie at the moment! But depends what she looks like!

I try to keep myself occupied, chores, cleaning, trying to train the cat to be a cat😂, binge watching tv! I’m on my own most the time as partners working two jobs and I’m getting back into babysitting until I’m ready to burst so I should be ok! But I’m at the point of bored of being pregnant! I’ve known since I was 3 weeks!

Congratulations everyone on your pregnancies!

I feel your pain!! I just don’t want to be pregnant anymore!! Also due in March- I’m not bored...yet! But working up until Feb 18th, which feels far too long away!! Our name we’ve picked is Tabitha

BeverlyZimek · 30/12/2018 20:58

I’m so tired of being pregnant as well at this point especially since being in my third trimester. I’m struggling to sleep at night and the babies are moving loads which most of the time I love but sometimes it actually hurts because they will kick my ribs or push on my pelvis! Wow Bonnie and Tabitha are so cute, I having decide yet but I like Lillian, Hope, Lucia, Samira, Eliza, Willow and Emerald right now. It’s so hard to choose though because you want to make sure they won’t grow up disliking their name 😂

BeverlyZimek · 30/12/2018 20:59

*haven’t

Firsttimetobe2019 · 30/12/2018 21:43

@BeverlyZimek
I’ve only got the one in me and she is soooo strong! She’ll kick off my ribs and bump into my hip and it literally makes my body jump and it hurts! I cannot imagine what carrying two is like!
I agree Tabitha is a lovely name! Can’t really shorten it which in my opinion is good!
Eliza is one of my back up options! It’s unique, there’s a lot of Elise’s and Elsa’s no Elizas that I know!

BeverlyZimek · 30/12/2018 21:56

Yeah Eliza is gorgeous, it’s been on my list from the moment I found out I was pregnant.

lovely36 · 30/12/2018 21:59

Enjoy it ladies! Once that baby is born you won't have a full night sleep for months. Enjoy these last few weeks of being able to do what you want when you want!

Firsttimetobe2019 · 30/12/2018 22:17

@lovely36 I’m more than used to broken sleep at the moment, I cannot stop using the loo of a night and I have a kitten who enjoys zooming around the room and playing with everything that makes a lot of noise at stupid o clock in the morning! I’m so ready!

OP posts:
Veuve1985 · 30/12/2018 22:39

Yes I love Eliza!! We call her baby Tabby at the moment- so we shorten it already!! 😂 she’s also a big kicker!!! But yup! I’m ready to not be pregnant now!!!

Veuve1985 · 30/12/2018 22:48

I’m Also struggling to sleep at the moment- just can’t seem to get comfy or super tired! End up napping in the day which makes it worse!! Plus not sure how it’s going to be when I’m back at work in 2 days with 5.30am starts!!

Proseccogal · 30/12/2018 23:13

I’m also due in March (7th!)
Not bored at all yet though... still feels pretty unreal and haven’t bought a single thing. If I went into labour now I’d be stuck ha.
Any recommendations on prams? Went for the first time today to mothercare and just have no clue what’s best! Are the £700/£800 ones really worth it?!

Firsttimetobe2019 · 30/12/2018 23:36

@proseccogal
I’ve just bought a second hand Venicci travel system that after a clean and polish up literally looks brand new! I’m in love with it! The girl I bought it off paid around £700 I think and was selling it for £60 and it’s not even that old! She said it was the best system she had, it pushes so nice aswell! (I may have pushed the cat around the flat because he decided to nap in it😂) will attatch a photo!
I don’t know how you haven’t bought anything! I’m still panicking I haven’t got everything prepared as anything can happen and people seem to think she’s going to come early!

@Veuve1985 I love Tabby as it shortened just makes me think of cute little kittens too! Baby likes to settle in my ribs and cause me pain all up one side of an evening it’s agony!

Due in March and so bored.

@proseccogal (firstly love the name- id kill for an ice cold glad right now!!) we’ve hardly bought anything either!! We’re looking at Prams, thankfully though, my parents are going to get us this as their contribution which is super kind!! I’m stuck between lightweight and user friendly...and a beautiful but heavy one I’ve fallen in love with!! It’s between the silver cross wave (Love the look!!) and the mamas and papa’s occaro...but just heard good things about the uppababy vista, which looks good but also lighter so could be the best of both worlds!!

Veuve1985 · 31/12/2018 00:03

@firsttimetobe what a bargain!!! I can’t find the ones I want second hand! LOVE the fact you are pushing your cat around too!! We have a cat (Archie) too and I think I would try this!!! We are cat people, so calling baby tabby? Tabby helped me get over the disappointment she wasn’t a boy (really wanted a boy for some reason!)

Firsttimetobe2019 · 31/12/2018 09:49

It’s soooo hard to find one that you like! I was going to be gifted a mamas and papas second hand one, but I couldn’t help myself when I come across this one and my partner was adamant we were getting it😂

OP, I have had the best first trimester and the worst second - with big family drama, hospitalisation and now injections twice a day. I'd love to go back to the first part and be bored tbh.

Veuve1985 · 31/12/2018 10:16

@firsttimetobe2019 I know!!! So hard!! I’ve fallen in love with the silver cross wave!! But it’s quite heavy!! It’s basically the look I’ve fallen in love with!! I’ve heard good things about the UPPAbaby Vista too and that looks lovely but less heavy! Going to mothercare today and put them side by side!

BeverlyZimek · 31/12/2018 11:39

@Monipop84 oh no, that sounds rough! I hope it’s gets better for you. What was the hospitalisation and the injections for, I know some people get perscribed LMWH? Xx

Firsttimetobe2019 · 31/12/2018 14:05

@Monipop84 ahh sorry about that hun! I’m hoping all stays easy and praying I don’t suffer too much in labour as I’m petrified 😂

@Veuve1985 you’ll have to let me know what you decide! They’re both lovely!

Veuve1985 · 31/12/2018 14:35

@firsttimetobe2019 we’ve decided the wave, in the granite or sable colour! Now just waiting for the mothercare events in Feb to see if it goes into a deal with some money off!

Firsttimetobe2019 · 31/12/2018 16:52

@Veuve1985 that’s lush! I’ve just had a google! Good thinking! Have you had a look on other websites too?
