I’m sure there’s loads of threads like this!
I’m due March 12th with my first - a little girl.
I have 10+2 days left and I am beyond bored! I have gone through clothes so many times and arranged them, I have washed all the pushchair and Moses basket and cot stuff. I have the majority of stuff we need only need a few minor bits (bathing stuff, extra bedding etc) but waiting on money for that!
I have had the easiest pregnancy only really suffering with back ache and hip pain every so often (touch wood it doesn’t change) and it still doesn’t feel real that I am having a baby but I’m impatient and bored now!
Anyone else feeling the same?!

Aye it’s crazy isn’t it haha! Have you managed to shift her yet? Hopefully you’re a bit more comfortable now! This wee one is pushing up on my ribs, this is a whole new world of pain haha.
I’ve got all the texts he sent, some of which will be horrible for her to read, but they show all the texts I’ve sent saying he’s more than welcome to be involved in her life, but he has to commit to it if that’s what he chooses because I won’t have her being messed around and wondering why she’s not good enough! The one thing that really got me angry is when I had the booking bloods done, and it came back that I have a Thalasemia trait. So they told me that it’s only potentially a problem if he carries the gene too, so I text him asking him if he has any of the lists of heritage that tend to carry the trait and he didn’t even bother to reply! I was like I’m not asking for anything other than trying to make sure my daughter is okay, and spineless sperm donor can’t even answer a simple yes or no question, I lost all respect for him after that haha. They said it’s something like a 0.01% of him having it, so when little lady is born they will take blood and test her that way.
It’s so cool that your little lady has the long legs and huge belly too haha, I couldn’t believe it when I saw just how far up the other end of the scale she was! The sonographer was like well you’re clearly feeding her well haha! 10lb baby Jesus wept that must have been painful for his mum haha. Hopefully these wee girls aren’t giant 😂Grin my midwife said that it’s easier to push a bigger baby out too as they kind of help themselves, I was like aye I’m sure you say that to all the mums haha!
Oh aye a guessing game indeed haha, all my brothers have been placing bets on what colour hair she will have haha. I don’t blame you for kicking him out, I had a houseful over Christmas which was lovely, but I was so glad when they went home after a few days as I just wanted my house back haha. Ooo blimey 33 weeks, hopefully he will be long gone by then! It’s a difficult situation for you as you’re nesting and just want to get things sorted and there he is in the way haha.
I’ve just had to waddle to the shop to get birthday cake as I was craving it so bad 😂Blush

@beherenow32 - I can only imagine but I’m so happy you’ve got your much longed for baby Smile don’t worry, I’m a paranoid wreck when it comes to my wee girls movements, I had to go in for monitoring on Friday of last week as she wasn’t kicking much, thankfully all was fine though but it’s ramped up my anxiety!
I’ve been with the same employer since I was at uni, so I’m very lucky that they are giving me 14 months maternity! I’m in agony with my sciatica, so I’m taking 2 weeks annual leave at the start of March, then going straight into my maternity leave from that Smile this is all assuming wee baby doesn’t decide to make an appearance early!
Oh bless her, i May have to do that tomorrow then Smile laying on my side isn’t too bad, trying to get up from that position is the hard part haha.

@firstimetobe2019 - I’m terrified I’ll be a bad mum or she will hate me or something like that, but my midwife said that the fact we worry about those things shows we are going to be great mums! They sacked you at 20 weeks, that’s awful! They sound like terrible employers!! You’ll be an amazing mum, you’ve got this 👌🏼💯😁Grin

Firsttimetobe2019 · 07/01/2019 19:49

@IrishAceyMac13 - What is the Thalasemia trait? What a knob, can’t even do something as simple as that🙄 That’s disgusting, you’ve done nothing wrong at al! You’ve just given a little thing life, he played a part in it and he should be able to provide simple information if that’s the case🙄 I thought the same thing! I just don’t want to tear or be cut🤢 it really does cringe me out😂 Currently i’m Craving all things savoury! 😂

They were awful employers that’s why I really haven’t bothered with the legal route!
Thankyou Hun! As will you! We got this!💖

@firsttimetobe2019 - I’ve had to google it as I can’t be bothered to get up and get my notes with all the info in haha, here’s what google says; People who have thalassemia trait (also called thalassemia minor) carry the genetic trait for thalassemia but do not usually experience any health problems except perhaps a mild anemia.
Basically, if he was to carry the trait too, then little lady would have a 1 in 4 chance of having a type of thalassemia that could make her very poorly like sickle sell disease or needing constant blood transfusions. They could do a test with the amniotic fluid, but it would carry a chance of miscarriage and that wasn’t something I was prepared to risk. All sperm donor had to do was answer yes or no but noooo god forbid he actually does something that would help me haha! What an absolute waste of space he is!
Oh god I really don’t want to tear or be cut either, it makes me feel sick thinking about it 🤢 I’m trying to think of the positive that we get to hold our beautiful wee baby girls and we will soon forget about all the pain when we see them for the first time!
Oooo I had the savoury cravings for most this pregnancy haha, now little lady is like nope we want cake!
They sound awful, discriminating scum bags!
Aww thank you hun, we have got this 💕

@IrishAceyMac13 Hi again, yes all has progressed as it should thus far thank God. The thread had calmed down a bit lately but started to gain pace again, they're a talkative bunch 😆!

Hi @Beherenow32, we're due date buddies! Hopefully we won't be kept waiting too long!

So many girls due in this group! And so lovely to hear that things are going well after all some of you have been through.

BeverlyZimek · 07/01/2019 21:27

Hi all, just wanted to say that yesterday my girls were born through emergency c-section. Abigail Beverly was born at 8:12 pm weighing 3 pounds 6 and Celeste Christine at 8:14 weighing 4 pounds 2. I was expecting a headache and abdominal pains so called my mum then while she was with me I started throwing up so she called an ambulance and it turns out I had developed preeclampsia. It was the scariest moment of my life but I’m so fortunate to have them here now. All 3 of us will need to stay in the hospital to be monitored but for now everything seems okay ❤️

IrishAceyMac13 · 07/01/2019 22:08

And the heartburn commences 😩 plus little lady is headbutting my ribs again, just as I’m about to try and sleep!

@hidcat - I’m so glad everything has progressed as it should so far for you, that really is fantastic news Grin they are a very talkative bunch, there’s no way I could keep up haha.

@Beverly - congratulations on the birth of your twin girls!! Absolutely beautiful names too! I’m sorry to hear you were so poorly and had pre eclampsia, that must have been terrifying! I’m so happy that you have your girls with you, and I hope all three of you make a speedy recovery ❤️

Firsttimetobe2019 · 07/01/2019 23:01

@IrishAceyMac13 - Oh I see, hopefully all’s clear for the baby girl! Ugh fuck him waste of air🙄 Exactly cannot wait to have her in my arms! 💖
I had sweet cravings all the way through other than today! 😂

@BeverlyZimek Congratulations! Absolutely gorgeous names! Sorry you ended up getting poorly but you got to meet them a little earlier than expected! I wish you a quick recovery and that the babies are happy and healthy! Good luck😉 you got your hands full now!😉💖

@firsttimetobe2019 - waste of air is accurate 😂 my brothers said waste of sperm 😂✌🏻 Hopefully my wee lady will be fine, but there’s no point me stressing until I know for sure 🤰🏻 This little lady has had me up half the night with her kicks, some were so strong they made me jump haha 😂 today is going to go soooooo slow, roll on 4pm when I get to see my baby girl 😍💕

HidCat · 08/01/2019 07:23

@BeverlyZimek congratulations! I hope the three of you are doing well this morning, scary but so exciting to have them here.

@IrishAceyMac13 brilliant scan photo! Did she cooperate? I had to go for walks and wriggle around because she wasn’t in a good position. 14 months maternity would be amazing! I’m going off 4 weeks before due date, but using 2 weeks hols.

@Firsttimetobe2019 that’s so bad about your work. Shame you couldn’t get some compensation! But as long as you’re happy just to move on, you need to do what makes you more relaxed!

@BeverlyZimek congrats on the arrival of your little ones. Hope everyone is doing well. I missed how many weeks you were when you gave birth? We’re you due on March??

Xx

IrishAceyMac13 · 08/01/2019 16:49

@beherenow32 - she wouldn’t to start with, but once I laid on my side she did! I can’t even explain the love I have for her already! I saw her smile when we were trying to capture pictures and I thought my heart was going to burst with love and pride ❤️💕 I can’t wait to hold her and give her the most amazing life, I’ve never felt so lucky and so honoured ❤️

IrishAceyMac13 · 08/01/2019 16:50

Her wee grumpy face as we woke her up! She has chubby thighs already and is just perfection, she really is ❤️

Due in March and so bored.
Beherenow32 · 08/01/2019 16:58

@IrishAceyMac13 very lovely! My little one was sticking out her tongue. Haha. Don’t think she was keen on having the scan xx

IrishAceyMac13 · 08/01/2019 17:28

@beherenow32 - aww your wee one was stocking her tongue out? That’s so cute haha! My wee princess wasn’t impressed at all by being scanned haha xx

Firsttimetobe2019 · 08/01/2019 17:40

@IrishAceyMac13 ahhh yay look how cute they are😍 I probably would have cried😂 So happy you got to see here! I’ve had a proper little wriggler!

Firsttimetobe2019 · 08/01/2019 18:22

@IrishAceyMac13 so happy! Still trying to get my head around the fact i’m actually going to give birth to this little bean and have her for life😍 The fact my whole world is going to change and to be honest I couldn’t be more excited! 😬😬❤️

OP posts:
IrishAceyMac13 · 08/01/2019 18:33

@firsttimetobe2019 - I’m the same as you, I just can’t believe she’s all mine and I get to raise her and look after her 😍❤️ I didn’t know it was possible to love anyone as much as I love her 😍❤️💕 I don’t think it’s goinh to sink in until she’s safely in my arms haha! Me and my wee angel against the world, that’s for sure 😍❤️

Firsttimetobe2019 · 08/01/2019 23:40

@IrishAceyMac13 - 100% you’ll do great!

I’m struggling with my skin at the moment. Just under my boobs/top of my bump (when I haven’t got a bra on😂) is really burny/itchy more burning if anything! Any suggestions? Or could it be where skins stretching?
