I’m sure there’s loads of threads like this!
I’m due March 12th with my first - a little girl.
I have 10+2 days left and I am beyond bored! I have gone through clothes so many times and arranged them, I have washed all the pushchair and Moses basket and cot stuff. I have the majority of stuff we need only need a few minor bits (bathing stuff, extra bedding etc) but waiting on money for that!
I have had the easiest pregnancy only really suffering with back ache and hip pain every so often (touch wood it doesn’t change) and it still doesn’t feel real that I am having a baby but I’m impatient and bored now!
Anyone else feeling the same?!

@IrishAceyMac13
Thankyou love! I’m glad you and little one are ok too! Must be a lazy growth day today for them! I
I’ve done all my research for it just in case and i’m pretty relaxed that it’s going to be ok but obviously the small risks still play on your mind. But what confused me is the doctor I spoke to said that one day you can test positive and the next you will be negative! It works weirdly so i’m not sure! I’ve got numbers for them but neither are avaliable and like yours mine are only in one day a week so I have no idea!

You’re welcome treacle :) aye it’s definitely lazy growth day for these wee ones! She’s been going wild all evening and I keep welling up as I’m just so glad she’s okay! Aye of course they play on your mind, it’s good you’ve done your research though and you’re prepared as can be! I’m sure everything is going to be fine for you both! I would say try not to worry, but I think we’ve signed up for worrying for the rest of their lives haha. That’s crazy how it can do that, so strange! That’s awful that they are both unavailable, they are hard enough to get ahold of when they are available haha!

Firsttimetobe2019 · 04/01/2019 21:06

@IrishAceyMac13
100% the lazy buggers! She’s been on the go since I got home really! Digging right under my ribs making it so uncomfortable for me! Literally we’ve got this forever now. It’s not just about myself anymore and it’s crazy to think like that!
I’m going to ask to be retested Monday just to check as I really want to be sure! As even if they do find the result and it’s clear I want them to be 10000%! I know it could just be human error but jheeze I cant be worried like this!

OP posts:
IrishAceyMac13 · 04/01/2019 21:53

@firsttimetobe2018 - aye they are lazy buggers indeed haha! Ooooo I feel your pain! This little lady likes to drag her foot down my ribs, not fun at all! Aye we’ve got a lifetime of worry now but they will be worth every second! The midwife at the hospital said ‘welcome to motherhood you’ll never stop worrying’ I was like aye I gathered that haha. It’s crazy isn’t it, I have that thought often like cor everything is about her now, it’s mind blowing but so amazing! I keep looking at her pram like my god I can’t wait to put her in it! Aye I think that’s a good idea, you really don’t need this worry ontop of everything else, and they didn’t sound too sure earlier!

Firsttimetobe2019 · 04/01/2019 23:05

@IrishAceyMac13 - Literally it is so true! My partner didn’t help earlier as he went God what if you do have it, it can result in preterm labour and my mind just went into overdrive! Like ahhh we haven’t got everything yet! I’m hoping by 35/36 weeks we’ll have everything!
I keep thinking that about the pram!
She’s going to look sooo tiny in it, it makes me well up with the thought that I got a tiny little life that is soon going to take over mine! Laying in bed now feeling her move about and I couldn’t be happier!

Firsttimetobe2019 - hope you and wee lady are well today! My wee princess is kicking away like crazy and back to her normal pattern today, phew! Bless you, I haven’t got everything either! I’ve not even put the cot up yet haha. I’ve got most of the big stuff, waiting on deliveries of Moses basket sheets so I can put that up. Need to get a baby monitor and quite a bit of the smaller stuff still. I’m hoping to have it all done by 35 weeks too, my midwife thinks she may come early so told me to be prepared by 36 weeks just in case! I can’t believe im growing this amazing little person, I can’t wait to meet her!

IrishAceyMac13 · 05/01/2019 10:20

This is the pram I’ve got for my wee lady, I love it!

HidCat · 05/01/2019 14:37

Hi ladies, mind if I join you? I'm due mid March. @Firsttimetobe2019 don't panic about the Group B Strep, I tested positive in my first pregnancy so had the injection during labour but progressed too quickly so had a 3 day stay in hospital for baby to have the antibiotics directly and observation. Better to be safe than sorry so this time I'm opting for automatic treatment rather than testing at 36 weeks. The bacteria is naturally found in many people but can cause infection in babies if transferred during birth. You can always ask for a retest if they can't find out what caused the woman to say you have it. The only problem is you may not be able to have your birth outside of hospital if you're positive at the time of testing.

Firsttimetobe2019 · 05/01/2019 14:46

@IrishAceyMac13
I’m glad you’re ok! Me and little one have been to the cinema today and she’s fine made it very uncomfortable for me the whole way through! Typical eh! I’m glad you’re both well! Yeah we’re slowly getting there I bought her comforter today, I know mine was so important to me when I was growing up so i’ve made sure I get her a little special one!
Is that the Cosatto? It’s lush! I was going to get one, the baby pink one I can’t remember what they called it! But that’s gorgeous!😍 Little lady be riding in style!
@HidCat feel free hun! Oh good, I know it’s treatable and can be avoided I’m just more bothered that they’ve confused me so much! It’s typical human error I know, but when I’m stressing about her movements to then stress about strep aswell it’s just pushed me that little bit! I’m going to call on Monday and ask for a retest just to be sure! Glad you and baby are ok! X

Firsttimetobe - sorry I haven’t been on, Had a busy couple of days! Hope things are well with you and your wee lady! My wee princess is making me very uncomfortable, especially at night time haha. She had a wild day yesterday I thought she was trying to escape lol! I’ve got a 4d scan booked for tomorrow, I can’t wait!
Aww you’ve got her comforter, that’s so sweet. I’ve got a couple of the same comforters just in case we lose one!
Yep the Cosatto flamingo fling, it’s so pretty 😍 have you got your pram yet?
I’m waiting on deliveries of Moses basket sheets so I can put her Moses basket up 😍 also need to assemble her cot too! Hope you are both well :)

Hey hidcat - hope you are well! I remember seeing you post on the antenatal board, but there was so many posts I couldn’t keep up with that group haha. I hope your pregnancy is going well :)

Firsttimetobe2019 · 07/01/2019 09:42

@IrishAceyMac13 it’s alright Hun! She’s been very lazy the last few days so been having to encourage her movement but last night she had my tickling either an elbow or her knee it was sooo distinct it was creepy😂 I wanted to do a 4D scan but the creep me out! You’ll have to post pics of your little lady when you have them!
It’s lovely your pram going to be a constant eyecatcher
Got my pram the other week I’m just waiting on the changing bag and bedding so it can put the whole set together and sort her cot out! Glad you’re both well❤️

Firsttimetobe2019 - oh no I’m sorry to hear your wee lady is being a lazy bones! Ooo I’ve not experienced that, I bet that was so surreal! I will definitely post pics of my 4d scan! I’ll be 29 weeks tomorrow so hopefully she doesn’t look too much like an alien 😂 I’m excited to see her and how much she has developed! Knowing my luck she will look like her dad who wants nothing to do with us 😂🤷🏻‍♀️
Oh wow I love your pram it’s so stylish 😍 it looks so smart too! Your little lady is going to be rolling around in style 😎
Someone at work just asked if I was pregnant, nah just too many mince pies haha of course I am! 😂
She keeps kicking and punching my ribs, it hurts 😂
Do you suffer with heartburn with your wee lady? I keep getting it all through the evening and night ☹️
I bet you’re so excited to get the cot up, I can’t wait to get mine up 🤰🏻❤️

Firsttimetobe2019 · 07/01/2019 13:41

@IrishAceyMac13 - I think it’s a change in routine she’s been active earlier than usual! So I reckon it’s that, i’m not worried too much! She’s just keeping me on my toes🙄 demanding more attention basically😂
She won’t looks like an alien she’ll look like a proper baby! Fingers crossed she doesn’t look like her dad, sorry to hear about that; me and my partner nearly split the other day and I panicked thinking what on Earth am I going to do on my own! But there’s plenty who do do it so you’ll be fine, it’s a shame men are such arseholes (excuse my french!)
Thankyou! The suspension on it is amazing! It’s not like pushing one of those rattley prams I love it! 😍
I’ve had no heart burn at all but that means they are going to have a lot of hair so you might be lucky and get a princess with a full head of hair! You should be able to see it on the 4D scan😍 How exciting!!! Have you tried Rennies or milk! That might help a bit?

OP posts:
IrishAceyMac13 · 07/01/2019 14:32

She sounds like a wee cheeky rascal! Actually, it’s funny you mention the change in routine as this wee princess of mine has changed her routine too! She used to be so active in the morning and then pretty chilled for the rest of the day, but now she’s switched it up and stays chilled in the morning then goes wild for the rest of the day haha. Typical wee princesses demanding our constant attention 😂
I had an early scan at 7 weeks and they did a quick 4d image and she looked like a shark haha! I’m so excited to see her wee features, I just want her here already! I’m sorry to hear you nearly split with your partner, I hope things are better for you both now! Oh don’t worry about swearing, that’s a very accurate description of him haha! He’s already got 2 kids of his own, but can walk away from this wee one without a care in the world, makes me sick! I’ve got this though as long as I’ve got my baby girl then I’ve got all I need 😁
It’s a thing of beauty and so smart your pram 😍 aye I know what you mean, some of the prams I tested in the shop were so hard to push and felt so unsteady! I was thinking cor, there’s no way my baby girl is going in any of them haha. Oh my if she has hair that would be soooo cute, it’s so exciting wondering what she’s going to look like 😍 Rennie’s made me sick, baby girl was like nope we don’t like them haha, I will give milk a try though, that’s a grand idea, thank you! 😁

Firsttimetobe2019 · 07/01/2019 14:58

@IrishAceyMac13
If she’s anything like me or my partner she is going to be a bugger too😂Yhis little one was the opposite to yours, very inactive throughout the day by the night she was a bugger, squirming and kicking away😂 now she’s more active throughout the day, has a good 5 minutes after dinner then is more chilled😂
I had an early gender scan at 15 weeks, they gave me an option for a sneak peak 4D but said it’s not recommended so I avoided that one😂
We’re much better now Thankyou, we had a lot going on and it got on top of him! That’s horrible my partners got 2 other kids too but the mums are challenging and use the babies as weapons🙄 He tries to forget th as it hurts too much but I can’t allow him to do that at all! Luckily one of the mums has come round! Exactly, i’m Sure you’ll give her the world and more😍 I keep thinking that aswell, my partners babies look a lot like their mums and I just want to know whether my baby is going to be the same a little mini me would be perfect😂😍
You’ll have to have a google, people recommend all sorts! I’m surprised my little bean isn’t going to have a full set me and her dad have such thick hair! I’m excited for you to post them now😂

OP posts:
IrishAceyMac13 · 07/01/2019 16:15

Oh aye I know that feeling well, what are we in for 😂 haha cor it’s crazy how different they are! It still blows my mind that I’m growing a wee human being 😂
I’m sure this wee kickboxer is trying to escape and I’m pretty sure she was head butting me earlier 😂🤷🏻‍♀️
Haha aye I had an early gender scan at 16 weeks and they said the same thing! No way was I waiting until 20 weeks to find out 😂 patience doesn’t come easily to me, the tiny shred of patience I did have has completely disappeared since being pregnant 😂
Aww good, I’m glad you’re both okay now! Pregnancy is stressful so it’s not surprising, at least you’re both sorted now ❤️ Argh I hate women who use their kids as weapons, drives me mad, there’s no need for it!! I’m glad one of them has come round, hopefully the other one does too as it must be heartbreaking! Poor kids deserve to know their father too!
I’ve told sperm donor / asshole that if he ever changes his mind I won’t stop him and to just let me know! he’s blocked me on everything though, but at least my conscience is clear!
Only the best for my wee princess, she deserves the most amazing life 😍
Ooooh it’s so exciting, that would be amazing to have a wee mini me 😍 I’ve already bought loads of matching Xmas clothes in the sale for me and baby 😂
Aye I didn’t even think about google, talk about baby brain haha! I will give milk a try tonight when the heartburn inevitably returns haha!
Oooh I wonder if your wee one will come out with thick hair like you and your partner! I have thick hair too and it’s ringlet curly, I hope she doesn’t have my hair as it’s an absolute bitch to brush and maintain 😂
My scan is 4pm tomorrow so as soon as I’ve had it I will upload pics 😁
Every scan I’ve had, this wee bugger hasn’t co operated at all, so she better not be covering her face tomorrow 😂 the 12 and 20 week scans took well over an hour as she was having none of it 😂

Beherenow32 · 07/01/2019 16:46

Hi! I need to catch up with messages, but would like to join. I’m due 15th. While I sailed through the 2nd trimester I am struggling with the 3rd! Feeling sore, and can’t sleep. I’m also anaemic so very tired etc.
This was an IVF baby, so I feel very grateful and still find it hard to believe that there’s a baby growing in there!

Hope everyone else is well x

Beherenow32 · 07/01/2019 16:56

Had a quick read! We are also expecting a girl. Had an early gender scan and a preview of 4d. But if a blurry pic because they’re still skinny.
@IrishAceyMac13 enjoy the scan. I had one when I was 28 weeks. You will be fine at 29 weeks. They’re a proper wee baby in there. Think that’s my last scan (had 6 all together!) as baby is bigger now- they just look all squashed.

Buggies are lovely. We have the mamas and papas ocarro. Not much else. Can’t wait to get the nursery decorated and everything else into place

IrishAceyMac13 · 07/01/2019 17:39

Hiya @beherenow32 - congratulations on your pregnancy! Everyone is due before me, boohoo haha. Thank you, I will definitely enjoy it! I can’t wait to see what she looks like and how much she has developed! I have an anterior placenta so they said if I wanted a 4d scan, it needed to be before 30 weeks else the placenta would just hide everything :)
I struggled with the 1st and the second half of the 2nd trimester, and I’m really struggling with the 3rd trimester as I’m so uncomfortable! I have terrible sciatica too but definitely no complaints from me either! I was told I’d never be able to have children, so to be carrying this wee baby girl is so surreal and mind blowingly amazing!
I can’t even begin to imagine what you’ve been through to get your much wanted ivf baby, but I’m so very happy for you! Half the time it really doesn’t seem real to me either, it’s amazing isn’t it :)
It’s so exciting seeing the nursery coming together, i bet you can’t wait to get it all sorted for your wee princess :)

I’m going to make some dinner soon, though I think this wee princess has her head under my ribs as i’m So uncomfortable!

Firsttimetobe2019 · 07/01/2019 17:41

@IrishAceyMac13
Literally, i have 9 weeks left tomorrow! 9 effing weeks! It's crazy! I feel like I'm quite small bump wise still but i can feel she's getting cramped in there. She keeps shifting as far right as possible up and under my ribs making sitting up and laying down very uncomfortable at the minute! This whole pregnancy feels like it taking forever, i knew from very early on so I'm so excited to be on the final stretch and I'm sure you will be too! Grin
At least you've given sperm donor the option. Does he have another partner if you don't mind me asking. In my partners case, when the partners disappear he is allowed involvement; like their current partner is more important and gets the chance to be a "dad" if you know where I'm coming from?

I have no idea how big/small babies going to be at the minute so i haven't even thought about buying bits for Christmas yet. Apparently at my last growth scan (28 weeks) she weighed approx. 3lb 1oz, has long legs and a pot belly! So I'm anxious t see if shes going to be big. Tell a lie I'm petrified incase she's big! The thought of too much pain makes my bits cringe! :')
We haven't been able to see any on the scans so I'm unsure if she will or not, we both have thick, straight dark hair and I'm hoping hers grows the same as i absolutely adore doing hair!
Fingers crossed your little madame is co-operative tomorrow! Mine likes to wriggle away making measurements difficult! But hey ho, means i get to see her a little longer! xx

@beherenow32
Congratulations on your pregnancy! It makes me so happy to see successful IVF stories as i couldn't imagine how difficult it must be for you! We'll see who's little lady arrives first, i have a niggly feeling she's going to be overdue, i think shes far to comfortable in here!
I currently have my partners uncle staying with us and he's taken over our front room, i really don't like him and i want him out so i can nest! Seeing his crap everywhere is really beginning to grate on me plus were having renovations done next weekend so i want everything back to normal by that point!
Wishing you all the best and i hope you get decorated and settled quickly!
@IrishAceyMac13 my little one is in the exact same position i believe and it is making a horrid burning sensation up under my ribs! I'm going to bounce on the ball to see if i can get the bugger to move!

OP posts:
IrishAceyMac13 · 07/01/2019 18:06

@firsttimetobe2019 - you are 2 weeks to the day ahead of me haha, I have 11 weeks left tomorrow! This is a looooooong wait haha, it will be worth it in the end though! Haha that’s exactly what this wee princess does, usually just as I’m getting into bed! She’s having a right party in there at the moment 😂 I have to sit in some very weird positions to get comfy 😂 aye I’m the same as you, I found out extremely early on too, so it definitely feels like I’ve been pregnant forever 😂
That’s a good question actually, I’m not sure if he has another partner or not, I’m guessing he more than likely has, hopefully he doesn’t knock her up if he does 😂 he’s got the option, it’s up to him what he does but I won’t beg for him to be in her life, nor will I put up with him being inconsistent! He’s either all in or all out, there’s no middle ground :) aye that does make sense! I can’t work him out but thankfully I don’t have to any more 😂
I’m laughing at your comment about too much pain making your bits cringe 😂 are we carrying the same child?! They said at my 20 week scan she has long legs and a giant belly too haha, on my notes she is at the furthest end of the scale for her belly! I was looking at it like oh god and I’ve got to push that out of me 😂 I’m not sure how much she weighs, I will ask them tomorrow see if they can tell me! I hope your wee lady isn’t too big!
Ooo if you both have thick dark straight hair I think she has a very high chance of having the same! I have brown thick curly hair, but my 5 brothers all have blonde very fair hair, and sperm donor had light brown thin hair, so who knows what this wee angel will have haha! I’m going to be staring very intently at the scan tomorrow keeping an eye out for her hair haha! That’s very true, the longer it takes the more we get to see them 😁
Yesssss that god forsaken burning pain is a killer! I’ve just felt her roll and now she’s kicking my ribs instead, wee rascal!
Oh no I’m sorry to hear your partners uncle has taken over your front room, that’s the last thing you need! Hopefully he goes soon and you can get things how you want them Xx

Firsttimetobe2019 · 07/01/2019 18:21

@IrishAceyMac13 - God our pregnancies and babies have a lot in common its mad :')
I'm currently on my knees lent over the ball with laptop on the edge of the bed, bouncing wasn't working Confused I'm hoping she shifts soon its actually really uncomfortable haven't had it to this extent at all!
Hopefully he makes the decision and steps up for little lady if not screw him, as long as you have proof that it wasn't your fault so when she gets older and asks questions you can just show her how useless he was!
My notes say the exact same thing about her belly! My partner was a 10lb baby but his little ones were about 6-8lbs i believe. My mum said its easier when they're bigger as you have more to push on but we shall see Grin hopefully our bubbas aren't too big!
Ooooh, ypu've got a guessing game when it comes to hair then! How exciting ;) I'll be kicking him out, he makes the whole atmosphere of the flat uncomfortable and i cannot stand it but i cant say a lot as its his uncle and he's helping him. But i believe my partner has said he's got until the 20th the latest. I'll be nearly 33 weeks pregnant by then, ideally i would like to be able to sort things out with ease!

Beherenow32 · 07/01/2019 18:35

@IrishAceyMac13 @Firsttimetobe2019 thank you! It was very difficult, but all a distant memory now that I’m pregnant. I might be a bit more anxious regarding movement etc- or it’s just the way that I am!

When are you finishing for maternity leave? I have 6 weeks left- but not sure I’ll last that long!

@Firsttimetobe2019 that sounds stressful having someone stay. Never mind when you have ideas and urges to get things organised!!

@IrishAceyMac13 I have an anterior placenta and had to lie on my side during the scan to make some space between baby and me. She did seem a bit squashed in there!

Firsttimetobe2019 · 07/01/2019 19:13

@Beherenow32 So happy for you!
I know all too well the anxiety of pregnancy, it drives me mad. Worrying about movement, labour, not being prepared, not being a good mum! Got all the anxieties but I’m getting there!
I haven’t been working as I was sacked for being pregnant at around 20 weeks, but oh my I’ve been bored! It makes the urges of getting ready for the baby so much stronger too!
