Hi all! Very late to the party of this thread but am due 29th Jan! Found out we're expecting a little girl which is lovely as we'll have one of each! From what I've read the boys are outnumbering the girls!

beccii not at all, your pregnancies don't stop just because of my news :) congratulations!
I thought I'd at least update you all as you've given me so much support. My babys heart, brain etc are all perfect and functioning as they should be, however he or she appears to have no bladder, no left kidney and the right kidney is completely deformed and has no function. This is what is causing my oligohydramnios, which in turn is compressing their head so badly that it's becoming deformed. They're giving me another scan in 2 weeks to confirm and then I will have to go ahead and terminate.
I'm sorry if the update upsets anyone, but I know how invested we all get in each other's stories and I didn't want to leave anyone wondering. Thanks again for all the support, you're all such lovely people!

FuckMyUterus i'm so so sorry to read that, that's absolutely heart breaking. What an awful thing to have to go through. By waiting 2 weeks to give you another scan do they think there is a change things could change? Thank you for letting us know. I'm actually in tears thinking about you, so devastating

I think it's more to cover their own backsides, as if they let me terminate now based on their findings and by some miracle things weren't as bad as the scan looked, they'd be thinking I'd try and sue. Either way, it's a killer of a wait in limbo, with my baby wriggling away inside. I'm going to hide the thread for a little bit now, I might come back and have a lurk later on so I can see everyone's baby popping along safely, I think it'll give me some comfort :)

I can't imagine how you're feeling @FuckMyUterus but you're incredibly strong! I'm not much of a spiritual person but I will be praying for a miracle for you.

@fuck thank you for coming back and updating us - you’ve given me a lot of comfort over the last few months and im so sorry for what’s now happening. We’ll all be here if you want to talk (think we’re gnna have to start a new thread soon as I don’t think you can go beyond 40 pages), and thank you for all the help you’ve given me.

Poor fuck it’s a bit of an emotional rollercoaster this pregnancy business isn’t it? How is everyone else doing?

I'm still feeling sick, don't tend to actually throw up but have the feeling. Looks like I'm one of those who it doesn't go away for ah well.

I am feeling good; no sickness or anything.
We had our 20 week scan yesterday - everything is looking normal, and we’re having a little boy :)
Knowing the sex makes it more real for us, so I’m happy we were told.

I am amazed it only took 10 minutes to do the scan and check everything. I thought it would take longer, so now I worry that something was missed. I’m probably just overthinking stuff.
