Hope you don't suffer with it so much today @cryptonaut. I am in dresses too as so much more comfortable.

Anyone else got mild lower back ache?

Hi @Si1ver congratulations on your pregnancy.

purplesmiler · 12/06/2018 08:26

@InDreamland back ache has been the main discomfort for me. I struggle to get comfortable and if I sleep in an odd position I can be sore for a few days.

sexnotgender · 12/06/2018 08:30

With you on the gas indreamland pretty sure I could power a small nation with the amount I’m producing.
Feeling bloated still this morning and a little uncomfortable.

Miffy201 · 12/06/2018 09:49

Congratulations @Si1ver, i agree the pessaries are pretty grim. Are you using cyclogest?

Miffy201 · 12/06/2018 09:50

I've just been told today I have a booking appointment tomorrow but they wouldn't give me an idea of what medical questions they'd ask. Has anyone had theirs yet who can remember what kinds of things they ask? I know my own medical history but not my families/in laws families.

Wowthisisreal · 12/06/2018 09:53

Does anyone else not feel like themselves? Had a little freak out with DH last night about the magnitude of it all. I guess feeling crappy is just another reminder that everything is changing forever (this is our first and it has happened immediately after the decision was made)!

Obviously I am happy but at least once a day I think SHIT WHAT HAVE WE DONE. And then I feel super guilty and berate myself because I should be deliriously happy all of the time.

I'm also super conscious of Hubby. He's pretty much doing everything at the moment as I just don't have the energy.

Did anyone else feel like this with their first? Or feeling like this now?? I'm 7 + 4

Si1ver · 12/06/2018 10:39

@Miffy201 I've got the Czech brand, but yes basically it's the same thing.

Si1ver · 12/06/2018 10:41

@Wowthisisreal yes, massive wobbles here. We've been trying for over two years AND we had to pay for our own IVF and I'm still a bit panicked in a "what the fuck have I done" type way.

Changedmaname · 12/06/2018 13:31

I broke the seal this morning and was actually sick for the first time. Joy. If this carries on past 12 weeks like last time, I may cry.

I also have diarrhoea and so so so tired. Pregnancy is so glamorous.

sexnotgender · 12/06/2018 13:35

It is super glamorous!

I’m bloated and gassyGrin

byanyothernamerose · 12/06/2018 13:52

@Changedmaname ...how far along are you? I am 6 + 6 and am pretty much nauseous all day but am yet to physically throw up?! Will I bypass this or is all the fun still to come 🙈

Changedmaname · 12/06/2018 14:50

@byanyothernanerose I am 7+3.

Honestly there is no way to tell how morning sickness is likely to progress from woman to woman. I hope yours passes quickly though. Everyone told me I would be "fine once you get to 12 weeks" last time, which I most definitely wasn't. Although once the sickness went away the rest of my pregnancy was a breeze!

chickita04 · 12/06/2018 15:15

@Si1ver I'm also 7+2. Tried for 16 months. I feel like things may go wrong sometimes but for the most part I have a good feeling!
I've got my first midwife appointment today and having an early scan Sunday hopefully they'll both go well!

Si1ver · 12/06/2018 15:38

@chickita04 I'm so pleased you're feeling good about your pregnancy. You're in to see the midwife early, the services must be great in your area. Hope the scan goes well.

InDreamland · 12/06/2018 17:34

@chickita04 you're lucky to get seen so soon. I have to wait another week and currently 7 will be 8 weeks on Friday. Nice to hear you're feeling good about your pregnancy, I need to learn from your positivity. Maybe it's the tiredness making me irrational and then start to imagine the worst, I'm so anxious even though I try to reason with myself.

@sexnotgender I am 100% with you on that! Blush

Pregnancy is overrated!

sexnotgender · 12/06/2018 17:43

I am the bloat monster today,I’ve also pee’d about 85 times already.

Changedmaname · 12/06/2018 18:08

Well, I've been clocked by my DC's childminder this afternoon. She spotted my travel sickness bands and I am an awful liar! Oh dear.

InDreamland · 12/06/2018 18:27

I wear those bands too on the tube. Useful for the nausea but doesn't help with dizziness and light headedness. Did you swear her to secrecy?

OP posts:
Changedmaname · 12/06/2018 18:48

@InDreamland yes I explained that it was very early days and she said her lips were sealed. Although there was another mum there picking up at the time and I'm not sure it she cottoned on (it was quite obvious) but I don't know the mum very well at all, so hopefully she won't be interested!

I look so pregnant and just generally ill - pretty sure some of my more observant colleagues have probably guessed already too (have had some looks), especially as I'm off a lot of my normal duties!

LouisePow · 12/06/2018 19:07
