OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
greedygreedyguzzler · 12/07/2007 10:32

kitkat- you said you couldnt wait for a peach fuzz head of your own to sniff! how about shaving your dh's head and rubbing nectarines all over it and then sniffing that? would that do until you pop!!!??? and frottage......................well, i couldn't possibly type it on here!!!! google it!...............oh, and i wouldn't worry too much about the swelling. i think its very common. see what the other girls on here think though cos i have always managed to escape it so far!

bodders - i agree with kitkat, i want DETAILS!!!! any stiches at all? any embaressing poo on your living room floor incidents? how do your bits feel now? had sex yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????

babymad! have fun with your dh later!!! dont forget to put a pillow under your bum again! those prostaglandins need a chance to work on your cervix!!!

OK.......................so why do people think it is funny and original to say "are you sure you haven't got 2 in there!!??" OF COURSE I AM BLOODY SURE!!!!! I HAVE HAD|$ SCANS AND I DONT THINK THEY WOULD MISS ANOTHER BABY DO YOU!!!!.......................it drives me mad! people think they are so witty, when clearly they are just annoying and stupid!!!

BabyMadandBIGbump · 12/07/2007 10:37

I had the same 2 weeks ago got so sick of it I brought all (4 pics) my scan pics to school and said see just the ONE! LOL,

DH hasn't had it since 28 weeks due to getting cramp/pains straight after so got abit worried, but hoping it happened again now I'm 36+6 (37 in 13 hours and 25 mins ) sorting out lots of stuff today stuff that I wont want to do WHEN baby comes long, like big pile of ironing and so on, also doing the food shopping today (by internet) and 100% doing my toe nails today got to look good in labour ladies! DH really is happy, I phoned him about an hour ago told not to waste any energy today as he will be needed later !

KitKat30 · 12/07/2007 10:46

Greedy I'm already obsessed with how lovely DH smells!!! Whenever I'm feeling low, I always just want to smell his face/head etc. How odd is that?!?!

I'm with you on the insensitive comments - someone (a close friend, so I know not to take it too personally) said to me: "ooohh you're nearly as wide as you are tall!" I mean honestly. There is a baby inside my stomach - what do you expect?!?!!!

I think people get used to seeing these petite celebs with tiny bumps, who then go on to have c-sections 4 weeks early... so they never see a normal pg woman in the final weeks... bah. Why can't people just be nice and polite?

predictions - arghh - I have no idea - if we get there I am sure I will be late - 24 January is my prediction
weight ??
sex - would be lying if I did not say girl - but thats more about preconceptions and imagining rather than what I actually feel - Chinese cal says girl but realstically I think prob boy - my DH is convinced it's a boy already!

BTW I want to hear the labour details too! Kitkat- I wouldnt get your hopes up for a similar delivery though... has anyone ever heard of a quick first labour?

honeyapple · 12/07/2007 11:19

Grrr.... kitkat and firsty are mixed up, was trying to do it chronologically....

honeyapple · 12/07/2007 11:19

BabyMadandBIGbump · 12/07/2007 11:40

BTW honeyapple my first DS#1 was only a 4 hour labour and DS#2 3 hour labour both normal delivery and no intervention!

greedygreedyguzzler · 12/07/2007 11:52

you lucky thing babymad!!! so you are hoping for 2 hrs this time too then?

greedygreedyguzzler · 12/07/2007 11:55

honeyapple - if you look on my hosptial notes it says my first labour was quick! i think it says first stage 2hrs, 2nd stage 30 mins!..........pisses me off actually, cos everyone said OOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooo what a quick and easy labour!...............what it didn't say was that i was 9cm dilated by the time i got to hospital and i had been having contractions at home for 36 hrs beforehand!!!!.............so kitkat, i agree with honeyapple.......but HOPEFULLY for your sake we are both wrong!!!

honeyapple and babymad - have you heard that 3rd time can sometimes be the worst? i keep getting told either that it will be the worst, or it will just drop out!!!....not sure what sorrt of state people think my pelvic floor is in, but i hope it doesn't ACTUALLY drop out!!!

the more i think about it, the more i think i want a homebirth! i just cant decide! i kind of like the idea of my kids being out of the way when i give birth, but i also love the idea of them coming straight in afterwards to see this amazing baby that has popped out!!! i am so unsure what to do! also, i dont want to stay in hospital for long afterwards. i might discharge myself straight after i have delivered the placenta!!!....what do you think!!??

Chooster · 12/07/2007 12:02

Grrrr at those pregnancy comments!!! We had some friends round last night and the male friend just said "Oh my God" when I walked out and his wife said "You know I think you are even bigger since last Friday!!!" - Ha, ha, ha, ha... Why can't people just say "You look nice".

Mmm, I looked up Frottage Greeds - not one to miss out on a new word! As I'm on my bank PC I didn't go any further than look at the brief description saying "mutual masturbation involving rubbing" - I think that gives a clear enough picture

MrsMc - I've seen one of those necklaces in one of my catalogues that comes through the door... Maybe take a look on the Blooming Marvellous website as I have a feeling it was in that one. Are you having a scan today? Sorry I've lost track of some of the scans that have been taking place

Bod - Very pleased about the VVV's - mine aren't too bad at the moment, but am very pleased that you've got no pain

Hope your neighbour is doing OK Honeyapple - Awful thing to happen to the poor wee thing. Just in time for his school hoidays as well

All is fine for me - am on the raspberry tea now and got a curry for tonight.

Oooh, and I've just won £50 on the premium bonds

greedygreedyguzzler · 12/07/2007 12:03

mrsmc - glad your scan went well. they are so amazing aren't they? when do you think someone will invent a little portable US machine that we can keep in our pockets and look at whenever we want to see what our babies are doing!? how cool would that be hey?

Chooster · 12/07/2007 12:07

Greeds - Is your hospital far? We live about 20 mins from the one I'm going to and my friend (who lives close by) went to hospital at 10pm, had her daughter at 10.30pm and was on her way back home at 2.00am (looking for a pizza take out place ). If that was you your LO's would just wake up in the morning after a good nights sleep and you'd both be back and waiting for them How sweet would that be...

Kitkat - I had awful ankle swelling with DS1 - not too bad this time but it still looks like I've got alien feet when I take my socks off at night. I was always told that as long as it goes down over-night then you needn't worry too much. Maybe call the mid-wife and see what they say but am sure its nothing to be concerned about.

greedygreedyguzzler · 12/07/2007 12:08

read about your scan on another thread mrs!

chooster - hiya fatso!!!...........i have got to get to the bottom of this frottage thing then! the site i looked at said it was something about rubbing your penis (not yours obviously!) around the anus without actually penetrating...........................so i am confused!..........and whats rimming then?......................so much i don't know!......how can i ever expect to educate my kids properly when my knowledge of sex terms is so limited!!!

Chooster · 12/07/2007 12:10

Pah - here was me searching for MrsMc's post about her scan! I'll have to track it down.

Mmm, I'll look too re: frottage - Isn't rimming the same thing around the anus but using your tongue (not yours - obviously)

greedygreedyguzzler · 12/07/2007 12:11

keep crossing with you choosterchops!!! i LIKE the sound of your friends birth! that is what i will aim for then!!! that would be so lovely wouldn't it!!??? i still rem how emotional i got when my ds came in to see my dd in hospital just after she was born! i couldn't stop crying! this time i will be inconsolable cos they can both talk (obviously!!!) and i just know they are bound to be so sweet wiht the new baby!!!

OMG!!!! its you soon!!!!

greedygreedyguzzler · 12/07/2007 12:12

shall we start a thread on rimming and frottage then???!!! i am a bit scared to check on my pc at work!

Chooster · 12/07/2007 12:14

OK - so I've had another look and it seems to be a form of 'dry-humping' - and is also called sandwich dancing - now this is getting wierd!

Like you Greeds - am only looking so I'm not the only mother at the school gates in later life who doesn't know the full meaning of frottage

greedygreedyguzzler · 12/07/2007 12:17

just found this..............In psychiatry, the clinical term frotteurism (no longer called frottage) refers to a specific paraphilia which involves the non-consensual rubbing against or touching another person in order to achieve sexual arousal or even orgasm. This may be done discreetly without being discovered, or in circumstances where the victim cannot respond, typically in a public place such as a crowded train.

that would explain why my lecturer at college said it was a word to describe people getting off on boobs rubbing feet during an adjustment by accident!!!

i must find the site i found last night and see what definition that had again

Chooster · 12/07/2007 12:17

Crossed again!!

Aw, it must be so lovely to see an older DC with your new baby - I can't wait!!! I know me soon

Anyway I think I'll take full advantage of my empty house and have a little snooze

greedygreedyguzzler · 12/07/2007 12:25

have a nice kip chooster, wish i could join you! (not like THAT....you perve!!!!)

babymad - i hope we have given you a few ideas for later!!!!!

honeyapple · 12/07/2007 12:33

What tis all this talk of anuses and penises... I come on here for a nice chat about babies, and what am I faced with?

Babymad- wow, nice labour times... I can see why you HAVE to have a home birth for this one!

Greedy- With my last 2 labours, I ended up giving birth in the evening and was told I couldnt leave because the doctor who had to check the baby over had gone home. So i had to stay the night... perhaps if I just said I was going there wouldnt be much they could do...

Have to track down mrs scan report...

MrsMcJnr · 12/07/2007 13:10

Ladies had my nuchal this morning, - sorry Greedy that I didn?t post here first, I have to post in order or I get confused! won?t know the results until next week but for me the very best bit was seeing beanie (aka skeletor) again ? he/she is the perfect size, has a beating heart and madly waving legs and arms with little hands and was very curious about us watching it (until photo time when he/she got shy and turned it?s back on us ) it made me well up, it was the most wonderful thing I have ever seen I?ll upload the pics. Downside was a complete interrogation about our choice not to have invasive follow ups if we come back high risk I think DH and I explained our views and arguments clearly but we still were made to feel stupid. DH was so cross that he became very quiet and I think it spoilt the ?viewing? for him a bit ah well, hopefully he?ll be on better form when we see Skeletor next week at the Dating Scan.

Honeyapple ? Skeletor was 7cms is very close up against the wall of my uterus the whole time. Placenta is posterior ? is that ok? Also she confirmed that I am still retroverted (hospital claimed I wasn?t ? which I thought was odd as have always been and Skeletor isn?t heavy enough to change that yet!) Sounds like a precious moment this morning with DP

Greedy ? probably is the farts! all the best for tomorrow ? hope it?s not too big a whooper!

Hi Fettle Isle for a boy? Like the idea of a reassurance dance by your DS to be

Booders your photos are gorgeous ? made me sob DD1 looks so in love with DD2 I remember Kyte didn?t know she was a priest ? how interesting! Send my regards when you enquire would you (only if you have time though )

Hey Chooster hang on in there ? at least until after we lunch

Thanks Firsty how are you?

KitKat ? you take care hon
