Thanks everyone, I'm really pleased. Still not ready to tell people in real life (also have interviews coming up, eek) but everyone here is such a support. We will hopefully have lots of Christmas babies!

Lisa how has monitoring this week been going? Kirinm I was just thinking of you yesterday, how far along are you now?

kirinm · 08/06/2018 19:55

I'm 27+4 @Paranormalbouquet feeling okay although getting horrible leg cramps at night. Anxiety seems to be increasing particularly about movements and twinges but generally, I did not expect to get this far nor expect to be as relaxed as I currently feel like I am. I can't believe how things changed. 10 weeks ago I'd lost 2 pints of blood and was sure it was over. Really hope things start going smoothly for you now.

Paranormalbouquet · 08/06/2018 20:18

Great to hear you are doing so well. 28 weeks is another milestone. Most babies born after that date have excellent outcomes.

In case you hadn’t guessed I’ve broken the entire pregnancy into milestones!

kirinm · 08/06/2018 21:02

Exactly what I did too. 24 weeks was my main aim. I felt total relief to get there.

intelligentPutty · 08/06/2018 23:19

So pleased to hear your good news @Paranormalbouquet and @mummyjl15

Xx

doleritedinosaur · 09/06/2018 06:50

Great news @Paranormalbouquet & @mummyjl15

@kirinm leg cramps can be a sign of dehydration, I used to get them in previous pregnancies until I upped my water intake.

Good luck for your interviews @Paranormalbouquet. I’ve broken the pregnancy down too, booking in then dating scan then anomaly then third trimester/viability.
It definitely helps break down the anxiety & gives an almost goal as when the dating scan is over then I’ll get back into hypnobirthing & switch to pregancy yoga.
I’ve got a job interview Wednesday so going to see how that goes.

Have had full on sickness for over a day now & while I’m grateful it’s a symptom it’s really draining. Especially as have 2 events with the toddlers today.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Flatwhite32 · 09/06/2018 06:56

Fantastic news @Paranormalbouquet and @mummyjl15!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 09/06/2018 07:06

Monitoring this week has been all fine, thanks paranormal - got another scheduled ctg today (fifth time in the hospital this week, as it's also where my antenatal classes are! V lucky that I can just work from home when I want, as I think I'd have had to go on early mat leave if I had a less flexible job)

keeponrunning85 · 09/06/2018 08:36

Great news on the scans paranormal and mummyj! What a relief!

And I'm really glad to hear all has been well with your monitoring this week Lisa. Is it helping you to manage your anxiety?

I think breaking it down into milestones is the only way to get through. The next one I'm aiming for is 30 weeks which all being well will be reached on Wednesday. And then my next growth scan at 32 weeks after that.

Another one with a job interview here. Got an interview for a consultant job on the 21st and I'm absolutely kacking my pants! It gives me something other than the baby to worry about though which is something!

Paranormalbouquet · 09/06/2018 08:40

We may be in the same line of work keeponrunning! I have 3 coming up, one I really want. Preparation greatly affected by surgery! Now need to find something to wear. Very bloated post-op, surgeon kindly said it would last a few weeks then he replaced by bump as I have now got no abdominal tone so get the maternity clothes out! Hard when I’d ideally like to keep it quiet another while.

keeponrunning85 · 09/06/2018 10:00

3! 1 is more than enough for me! No chance of me hiding the bump but as I work with half the interview already and am having face to face meetings with all but one before they will all know anyway. I got a nice smart navy dress from asos for £45 but I'm not sure how it would look with a small bump because of the cut. What area do you specialise in paranormal?

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 09/06/2018 10:34

I will be catching up more in a mo. Finally got to see a bloody mw yesterday. Baby seems absolutely fine when they checked on a doppler and she finally moved a lot when we were at the cinema yesterday. Better late than never! Might be in a bit of pain myself for the next 6 or so weeks but so long as she's okay in there that's all that matters.

@Paranormalbouquet So happy your scan went well Smile

mummyjl15 · 09/06/2018 15:05

Thanks everyone! I think it’s started to sink in now and especially as my little bump has started to ‘pop’ I actually feel pregnant too which is lovely.
I swear I’ve been feeling movement too but seems too early at under 13 weeks? Although I did start feeling movement at 15/16 weeks with my first and I know you can feel things earlier with a second.

So pleased to hear all was well at your latest checkup @UnicornsandRainbows1

BertieBotts · 09/06/2018 18:50

I felt movement from 13 weeks with both of mine that got that far :) This one is such a wriggler.

Paranormalbouquet · 09/06/2018 19:15

Keep I’m Endo. What about you? UnicornsandRainbows1 I’m delighted you finally got seen and baby is well.

SoozC · 09/06/2018 20:12

Eek, as early as 13 weeks? God, I cannot WAIT the next two weeks, just in case!!!

LisaSimpsonsbff · 09/06/2018 20:22

Sooz, just so you don't start worrying if you don't feel them - I didn't feel any movement until after 20 weeks (I think it was around week 21/22 - I definitely still hadn't felt them at my 20 week scan), and although I do have an anterior placenta which cushions them, the midwife said that this is perfectly normal for a first-time mother regardless of placenta position!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 09/06/2018 20:24

I felt flutters from 15 weeks this time but not every day until well into the 20s
With my first I felt nothing until 18 weeks

TheGrumpySquirrel · 09/06/2018 20:25

I also have an anterior placenta and sometimes the mw says oh he just moved and I'm like really? Don't feel it

kirinm · 09/06/2018 20:27

I have an anterior placenta too and didn't start feeling anything until 20-21 weeks. I feel movement a lot now but it's not always super strong.

LisaSimpsonsbff · 09/06/2018 20:31

Just realised I didn't reply to you keepon - yes, it is helping with anxiety, thank you for asking. Feeling a bit nervous about the growth scan on Monday. Obviously hoping for good news that all looks normal now, but I have to say I do think I'll find it quite hard to go without the monitoring if that's the case; movement is still feel different/reduced and although all the CTGs suggest that doesn't mean anything, it is quite hard not to panic. But obviously ending the monitoring would be good news, as it would mean he's growing normally!

How have you been feeling?

Exciting news about your interview (and to you too, paranormal!) - will be wishing you lots of luck for it!

somethingfromnothing · 10/06/2018 08:31

Hi everyone I’ve been a long-term lurcker and infrequent poster on the TTC after mc threads. In the past 3 years I’ve had an ectopic, 3mc plus another 2 cp. I have a 5 year old dd.

I’m 4+2 and a total wreck. I had some spotting at the end of last week when af was due and that’s always how my looses have started. I just can’t comprehend having a successfull pregnancy.

I need to phone EPU tomorrow and book my early scan because of previous ectopic.

keeponrunning85 · 10/06/2018 10:39

paranormal I'm neuro rehab. 1 year of being the med reg was enough for me to decide I had had enough of general medicine and didn't want to do it as a consultant! Fortunately my gamble on a random specialty worked out and I really enjoy it.

I'm glad the monitoring has been helpful and fingers crossed all is well at your scan tomorrow lisa. You must be nearing the end now?

Welcome something. I hope things work out differently for you this time and you find this group helpful.

intelligentPutty · 10/06/2018 11:29

Congratulations @somethingfromnothing
Hope u find this forum helpful. It's a nice place to come and especially with the history I know how hard it is to feel positive.
I really keep my fingers crossed that this goes well for you. X

Iswallowtoothpaste · 10/06/2018 14:18

@something hope everything works out ok for you!

I’m 9+3 today and have had period like cramping all day! I know it’s pretty normal and it’s only been mild. Was just thinking the other day how the cramps had really tapered off. Bloody cramps, hopefully a good sign that everything is stretching out down there though!
