Oh sorry yes 9, even better. I think TV vs abdominal in EPU varies by hospital tbh

Pinkvoid · 15/04/2018 19:35

I’m 11+1 today. I’m not seeing the midwife till 12+2 which I’m a little frightened about. Mostly because they only book the scan in then and I’m afraid it won’t be until late into the 13th week... As I had two missed miscarriages, I would rather have the scan sooner rather than later and know my fate as it were.

I have already surpassed the point when I had started spotting during the first MMC but I only started spotting at 12+4 after the scan with the next one so I’m still petrified.

Still feel super nauseous, knackered, pissing constantly and have the same food aversions/cravings so I’m hoping this is a good sign as I lost all symptoms when the heartbeat stopped last time. Nevertheless I am so scared and feeling like doomsday is approaching.

Hello All

Thanks for the new thread Bertie

Lisa I had a consultant appt too for the same reasons and got immediately signed off. It was totally a box ticking exercise. I have a low lying placenta - not fully previa. I have to wait until a scan at 36w to check that's resolved before I can be fully "low risk". Good luck with your deadline!

Congratulations Peachesarenom and Anxiousfeelings. Lovely to see you here Vox.

Great to see so many people so close to term Flowers good luck.

BertieBotts · 15/04/2018 22:10

Zaa, what about agreeing to an induction but if it lasts longer than X hours or they are wanting to get onto some kind of intervention then you'd prefer a c-section? That is a possibility you can discuss with the consultant. I totally understand not wanting to go through the issues involved with a difficult induction, however I have heard some positive induction stories too.

Hey everyone i have a stitch like pain today up on my left side. Anyone else experienced this? Its higher than my belly button

MsJuniper · 16/04/2018 19:05

Just popping my head in to see if there have been any more births - all the best to those that are imminent.

@zaalitje with my DS I was induced at 38wks and after 4 days nothing had happened so I had an EMCS. In retrospect I'd have put a shorter time limit on it but nothing bad happened. The CS itself was fine and a pretty positive experience. This time they wanted baby out at 39wks so I was offered induction but went for ELCS. My recovery has been super quick and apart from the annoyance of not being able to drive I almost forget I had it.

Hi everyone! I’ve been advised to join this thread so hello! I’m 5+3weeks pregnant and have my first scan in one week tomorrow. I’ve had 3 early miscarriages over the last 7 months (2 at just over 4 weeks and 1 at just under 7 weeks) so I’m feeling pretty anxious about this pregnancy but trying to stay positive. Feel really good in myself and morning sickness is starting to kick, I’m really bloated too so all good signs so far!
This will be my second baby if all goes well, my daughter has just turned 2 1/2
Lovely to read lots of positive stories on here! Smile

mummyjl15 · 16/04/2018 20:07

Also, has anyone in here had a scan at 6 weeks? Wondered if you can even see anything at this stage? I’ll be 6+4 but I know I ovulated quite late on day 18 rather than my usual day 11/12 so I’m assuming this will make a difference with what they will actually see

BertieBotts · 16/04/2018 20:27

Yes I had one at 6 weeks. It was just a dot but we did see the heartbeat. I was supposedly 5+5 but I was measuring 6 weeks, and I don't know when exactly I'd ovulated as I'd given up on tracking! If you're potentially 5+4 by ovulation rather than 6+4 be prepared not to see anything, or just a sac. Will they let you come back in a couple of days if they can't? That would be the worst thing.

Hi Markygirl1995. Hopefully you can gain all the support you need here. It's such a weird position to be in. Lovely picture you have there! Smile We're hopefully finding out the gender on the 6th May if the baby plays ball... So no Grin

Markygirl1995 · 16/04/2018 21:35

@UnicornsandRainbows1 aww thank you, love threads like this they're so supportive and caring and that's what every pregnant woman needs! Do you know what you're hoping for or feel what the sex might be? I have a feeling mines a boy but I also have the same symptoms as my friend who has found she's going to have a little girl. When are you due?

intelligentPutty · 16/04/2018 21:37

Hey @mummyjl15
With this pg I had a scan at about 6 weeks. It turned about to be 5 1/2 ish and we could see heartbeat.
Hope that helps.
It's such hard times these first few months.

X

natashaarr · 16/04/2018 21:40

Hello everyone. I’ve previously posted on the old thread. I’ve just had blood when I wipe, I’m 7+2 but saw a heartbeat at 6+4 I’m terrified as I’ve had 3 mcs before and this is my 4th pregnancy :(

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 16/04/2018 21:56

@Markygirl1995 It really is so helpful in here, everyone just 'gets' it if you are having a wobble.

I'm thinking probably a girl as, I don't know, it's just a feeling and my side seem to be a very girl oriented family when it comes to having babies. Obviously that's not how that works but it's a weird roll of the dice. Either way I'll be a happy crying blob Grin I'm due17th Oct :)

Markygirl1995 · 16/04/2018 22:06

@UnicornsandRainbows1 same!! I'm due 17th too! Have you had any symptoms?? I've had none really so far other than being tired in the first trimester and a few ligament cramps at the moment but that's it! Oh and being very emotional too! 🙈

Markygirl1995 · 16/04/2018 22:06

@natashaarr have you spoke with either your hospital or community midwife it would be best to get that checked out your reassurance!

Markygirl1995 · 16/04/2018 22:10

@mummyjl15 when I had my 6 week scan I had an internal camera as over the tummy the could just see the sac I wanted to be sure something was there so that I wouldn't panic and we saw this tiny dot with a fetal pole and myself and OH we're chuffed close to crying 😂

Belkinsboo · 16/04/2018 22:32

@natashaarr was it just one wipe? What colour was it? How have you been feeling in yourself? I had a huge bleed a week ago at 6+5 and it turned out it was something called a subchorionic bleed (a pocket of blood that collected in the lining). It was a sudden gush with no warning and no pain, I thought for sure everything was over, had a scan and baby was still there. My point being that not all blood is bad news so I have everything crossed for you. If you’re under midwife care already, might be worth giving them a ring, if only to put your mind at rest. Sending you Flowers

Snorebrown · 17/04/2018 06:51

natasharr i had spotting at 7+2 and got a refferal to Epu. How are you doing this morning?

Maggi85 · 17/04/2018 08:15

Hi All - hope I'm okay to Join this is my 4th Pregnancy with the previous 3 ending in mc. the last one being at 16 weeks - which was tough as I thought all was going to be ok after 12 weeks. Currently 5 weeks have a scan next week @ 6+2 so keeping positive, not worrying too much and not letting myself get too excited either xx

LisaSimpsonsbff · 17/04/2018 08:36

Welcome and congratulations to the new posters - wishing you all long and boring pregnancies!

Glad you found us mummyjl15. My first scan with this pregnancy was 6+3 and we saw a heartbeat then, but the EPU sonographer did warn us that we might not and that wouldn't necessarily be bad news.

Hope you're doing ok today natasha - definitely second getting checked out (around me you have to go through the GP to get an EPU scan) if you can, for reassurance.

kirinm · 17/04/2018 10:15

Morning all. I am feeling so anxious. I'm not feeling movement and I know that could quite easily be because I've got an anterior placenta but my scan feels so far away still (it's next Monday). I'm 20 weeks today and I don't have a bump just a much fatter stomach and rib cage. I don't feel brave enough to buy maternity wear in case it all goes tits up next week at the scan. I'm petrified.

kirinm · 17/04/2018 10:15

And I find myself googling some really grim morbid stuff to try and prepare myself.
