Hey. Starting a new thread before the last one runs out. I will post a link to it in the old one so hopefully everyone can find it.

I had my beautiful baby boy at 9.17pm last night! Can’t believe he’s finally here!

I went in to be induced (11 days overdue) & was given a 24hr pessary at 12.30. At home my waters broke at 4.30, back into hospital & managed to have him with just gas & air. It was pretty quick. Feel so lucky to be holding my little one.

Best of luck with to ladies still waiting x

Crapbags · 27/03/2018 13:58

Congratulations @hazydays81Flowers

Have you named him yet?

Vickylou78 · 27/03/2018 15:06

Congratulations @raym, @ragdolly81, and @themrs04 and @hazydays81 on your new babies (and anyone else I’ve missed!). So pleased for you all!!

Ragdolly - did you have your auntie with you for the birth in the end?

Vickylou78 · 27/03/2018 15:09

@crapbags are you still waiting? I am!! Feel like we may be the only ones left to pop?!

Ragdolly81 · 27/03/2018 15:13

No she was to ill to make it. I had a student midwife who I cant praise enough help me. She was wonderful.

Vickylou78 · 27/03/2018 15:30

Ah well that’s great! I said earlier on the thread that I bet that’s what would happen didn’t I!. That’s fab and I bet she felt honoured and happy to help you go through it. It’s very heart warming! Well done you though!

Ragdolly81 · 27/03/2018 16:08

I was very greatful to her. I couldn't of done it without her. I had the nicest midwives ever they where so understanding and kind made having my little girl a happy moment.

Vickylou78 · 27/03/2018 17:50

Ah that’s great! Midwives are fab normally aren’t they. Happy times!

HazyDays81 · 27/03/2018 18:46

Thank you. We’ve called him Thomas - so in love with him already Smile

Vickylou78 & crapbags hope you’re not waiting too much longer...keep us posted.

Hopefully ‘see’ some of you on the post natal thread.

HazyDays81 · 27/03/2018 18:47

Ragdolly81 so glad you had a lovely student midwife - must have made it a much nicer experience. Hope you’re getting on ok x

Ragdolly81 · 27/03/2018 19:05

I am ok just a bit tiered and got to inject myself daily to stop any clots. got my other kids here as well. Which is nice except my 5 year old has just got over chicken poxs and now has a head cold. Hard going doing it all alone but I am happy to do it and the 14 year old has helped out where he can. The little one is good as gold and doesn't really cry just moans a bit. Glad everyone is doing ok hope to hear of some more baby's being born soon.

Crapbags · 27/03/2018 19:26

Yep still waiting @vickylou78 I was hoping it wouldn’t happen today as it’s my DD’s birthday so I’m grateful in a way that it hasn’t but my goodness I’m knackered loads of braxton hicks. It also feels like it’s dropped so low any lower and I think I’ll need to use a wheelbarrow to get around or something😖

When was your due date? Hopefully we won’t be waiting too much longer!

@Hazydays81 lovely name enjoy those newborn snuggles☺️

Vickylou78 · 27/03/2018 19:52

I am due on the 30th so always thought may be the last to go!

I am so knackered as sleep is awful and same as you the baby is really low so feel like I am literally waddling about! I’m getting lots of Braxton Hicks (but have been for weeks now) and getting the odd twinge down below so fingers crossed. It’s so tiring looking after my 3yr dd and I feel so bad that she is watching so much tv! Ah well we did manage some play doh today so that’s not so bad hopefully!

Hopefully this week @crapbags! When are you due?

Crapbags · 27/03/2018 20:48

@vickylou78 my due date was Sunday (25th) but I’m convinced they’ve dated me wrong I knwo my cycle and I can pinpoint the date I actually conceived and by that my due date should really be around the 31st March. I’ve been early with both DD and DS so I’m hoping baby will come before the 31st but who knows?!?

I was only saying to DH tonight about how guilty I feel for my other DC’s that I’m a rubbish mum right now always too tired to do this too uncomfortable/big to have proper cuddles, get frustrated at probably silly things they are doing because I’m so tired and uncomfortable 😖

Just think in a couple of weeks this will all seem like a distant memory......

Vickylou78 · 27/03/2018 21:42

Oh @crapbags I feel exactly the same, I feel so bad that I’m so big and unwieldy to do anything with my dd and so hard to even have a proper cuddle or pick her up. I have been snapping at her for little things too as I’m so tired and was also like this during 1st trimester due to morning sickness so I feel really like the worst Mum! Hopefully she won’t remember how crap I’ve been!

RayM · 27/03/2018 22:15

@TheMrs04 gosh I’m glad that everything was OK with your baby when you went in to be observed for low fetal movement - just typical to have one last panic before finally meeting your little boy! Congratulations 🎉. And just gas and air!!! You have every right to be proud of yourself!

@Ragdolly81Congratulations on your baby girl! So pleased to hear she lets you know she wants something with a little grunt - bet she’s the cutest! Sorry your aunt couldn’t make it to be with you. The midwives really are an inspiration. I couldn’t fault a single person at my delivery either. I have to inject with anti clotting medication too. Sucks you have to do it. I get my husband to coz I have a weak stomach! The stockings I have to wear for the next ten days aren’t exactly comfortable either!

@MrsL2016 Eee it must be lovely getting to know your little boy. Congrats! Haha, I know what you mean. My water birth didn’t go to plan but in the grand scheme of things I could not care less. I have a healthy baby which is all I could ever ask for.

@HazyDays81 OMG! How you must have been feeling at 11 days over I cannot imagine! congratulations on having your baby boy though. So happy it was a fast labour and delivery for you. Thomas is a great name!

@Vickylou78 @Crapbags The final two! I will keep popping in on here and perhaps the April thread if need be to seen how you’ve been getting on. They WILL be here soon and I can guarantee now (from experience 😂) that it does not last forever. Good luck to the pair of you xx

Vickylou78 · 27/03/2018 22:19

Thanks @RayM that’s lovely

Crapbags · 28/03/2018 12:33

Ah @vickylou78 I’m sure your DD won’t remember at that age, mine are 7 and 4 and more likely to remember but I’m hoping they won’t be too scarred from the experience!! My DD (7) is very sensitive too and I’m sure she picks up on my anxiety so I’m really trying to put a positive frame of mind on now foul is on the excitement of meeting him rather than worry/stress about when that might be......easier said than done thou!

How are you feeling today? Do you know what your having? For me it’s another boy:)

Crapbags · 28/03/2018 12:34

Thanks @raym look forward to joining you on the newborn thread soon!!

Vickylou78 · 28/03/2018 13:31

We think we are having another girl so my dd is very excited!

blinkineckmum · 28/03/2018 16:02

I love the name Thomas.

Crapbags · 28/03/2018 19:43

Ah lovely:) my DS was chuffed that I’m having another boy my DD not so much....ah you can’t win them all can you😂

Clevs · 29/03/2018 10:14

I'm now 11 days over. I've had two unsuccessful sweeps this week so am booked for induction tomorrow. At this rate I'll be leaving this thread and joining the April oneHmm

Vickylou78 · 29/03/2018 11:03

Aw @clevs 11 days! I feel for you! I went 10 days over last time and went into labour night before induction so fingers crossed! Also I hear that inductions later on are better as cervix ready to go. Fingers crossed for you!
