Hey. Starting a new thread before the last one runs out. I will post a link to it in the old one so hopefully everyone can find it.

@blinkineckmum @GWeatherwax congratulations on your new arrivals!!! Gosh an EMCS? Hope you have a good rest and speedy recovery xx

HazyDays81 · 22/03/2018 06:39

Massive congratulations GWeatherwax sorry to hear you needed an EMCS tho.

I’m booked for induction on Monday - hoping baby arrives before then!

blinkineckmum · 22/03/2018 08:04

Congratulations GWeatherwax xx

sammy891 · 22/03/2018 09:40

Congratulations on the new babies!! Enjoy your cuddles xx

Vickylou78 · 22/03/2018 10:16

Congratulations @GWeatherwax! Sorry to hear about the EMCS but hopefully all worth it and you’ll recover well x x hope you are getting some rest. I know how hard that is with a new born though!

Ragdolly81 · 22/03/2018 12:17

Congratulation on all new arrivals. I have just come back from the midwife after I got them to give me a appointment which was hard enough. Had a sweep so fingers crossed she said she could feel the baby's head really really low down without trying much at all to feel for her. Really hope I go on my own and not have to go for my induction.

TheMrs04 · 22/03/2018 13:21

I'm off for my sweep in an hour!! Feeling really nervous about it! 😬

TheMrs04 · 22/03/2018 13:22

Posted too early

Congratulations to all the new mummy's and babies 😊😊

RayM · 22/03/2018 13:28

@TheMrs04 good luck but it will be fine! I’m not gonna lie - it was dead uncomfortable for me yesterday but that’s to be expected! And it’s only for a short while.

@Ragdolly81 ah, glad you could get in to see your midwife today 🙂. I’d rather try a sweep again than wait to be induced too. Fingers crossed for you!

It’s just over 24 hours now since I had my sweep. Had cramping and back pain all evening and last night but nothing this morning and I’m still very much pregnant! Still a bit of blood coming away but midwife said this would happen.

Ragdolly81 · 22/03/2018 13:31

Good luck with your sweep it can be uncomfortable but defo worth a try. I am desperate now got my induction on Tuesday so hoping this sweep helps. Sounds promising with baby being so low. But I am not going to get my hopes up. 40+5 today a really want to go. Been getting contractions but got them last time with my sweep and they came to nothing.

TheMrs04 · 22/03/2018 13:33

I've had a few niggly pains all day but I've been nonstop all morning cleaning and catching up with washing etc!!
Just hoping this works!
It's my nieces 2nd birthday today and my sister is convinced he will be born today 🙈 xx

TheMrs04 · 22/03/2018 15:03

Successful sweep 😊 3cm dilated waters bulging! Midwife has said she thinks the next 12 hours and I'll go! Here's hoping 😬😬🤞🏻🤞🏻

Mugglenet · 22/03/2018 15:15

Ladies... can any body offer any advice... I'm have such pressure low down. Centre.. I would describe it as pulling pain that isn't going away. Cervix was closed yest and head not engaged. Could this be the start of something??

RayM · 22/03/2018 16:31

@TheMrs04 Ah that’s great news! Hoping the next 12 hours brings you a baby!

@Mugglenet I’ve been having that pressure down below for about two weeks now. Sometimes I think that I will just look and see her head coming out! 🙈 I can’t comment on how normal this is or if it means something is happening though?

MrsL2016 · 22/03/2018 17:05

That sounds promising @TheMrs04. I hope I hear something similar at my appointment tomorrow. Feeling very much the same here in terms of symptoms as the last few days, so don't feel anything is progressing. Starting to think I need to mentally prepare for induction next week so I don't feel too disappointed when it happens.

@RayM Im first time baby 2 and haven't a clue what to expect. I was really hoping it was the start of something. It was diff to the pressure pains I have been having it was like pulling and tightening pains. I had to walk round holding the bottom of my bump just to try and lift some weight. I've rested and pains have lifted so I doubt it was nothing Confused

RayM · 22/03/2018 17:19

@Mugglenet Oh! That’s different to what I’ve experienced - from my limited experience it sounds good though!?

Hope you get some positive feedback at your appointment tomorrow too @MrsL2016. I think I’ve learned this pregnancy that the best thing to do is not have any expectations 🙈😂. I’d assumed that I’d have had her by now because she was growing so fast and had run out of room (or so it felt!) a looong time ago!

Ragdolly81 · 22/03/2018 20:01

Lol I have learnt in this pregnancy that I had no idea about anything. All my other pregnancies where plain sailing no aches or pains just pregnant then bam contractions. With this one I have been aching all over had braxtons since 22 weeks and can barely walk. Been having contractions since 12 after my sweep this morning but there are all over the place. Just wish they would get in a pattern. Really want this to be the real thing now. My back is in bits and she is so low down I keep thinking one more contraction and she will be here.

RayM · 22/03/2018 20:16

@Ragdolly81 Ugh, sounds like you’ve had a tough time of it! Guess every pregnancy is so personal it’s difficult to offer sound advice. I’m really rooting for you to meet your baby soon - I can’t imagine what a relief it will be for you! xx

Ragdolly81 · 22/03/2018 20:20

The relief will be huge. Every time I think this is it it just stops. I guess we are all like this at the end though so desperate for it to be done. Hopefully our little ones will be here soon and we can all look forward to sleepless nights and stinky nappies instead of contraction lol

Crapbags · 22/03/2018 21:18

Congtratulations @Gweatherwax glad all is well, have you named him yet?

How’s things @TheMrs04? Sounds like things are getting going for you!

@ragdolly81 I feel for you, it’s so hard waiting I too feel like I was lucky last two pregnancies being early no time to worry about being late/being induced/people constantly commenting when is baby coming etc etc.

Hopefully more babies will arrive soon, good luck everyone

Ragdolly81 · 22/03/2018 21:18

Ok into hour 9 of contractions but still not in a good pattern starting to think its never going to happen. If I move k set more off if I stay still i can't move when one hits. All hospital has advised is the usual useful thing of a warm bath and paracetamol. Don't know how to get the contractions into a pattern and set off fully. Don't think I can cope much longer with all this uncertainty and pain. Having up to 6 contractions an hour sometimes more now. Anyone any ideas on how to get them closer and more regular.

blinkineckmum · 22/03/2018 22:55

Nipple stimulation? Exercise ball? Vibrator?? Going for a walk, though it's the wrong time of night for that. Watching your favourite soap? Giving up and trying to sleep?
Best of luck. You are on your way!

Ragdolly81 · 22/03/2018 23:23

Tried all of them lol. My midwife said i need sperm I wish I am single so no chance of that one. Even if I am half tempted to go and ask a complete stranger to go and do his business in a cup Haha (joking by the way I am not that creepy). I just wish there was a guaranteed way to get the contractions moving along quicker I guess I will try and sleep with a bit of clay sage oil on a cotton bud under my pillow. As u never know lol. Just be informed by my kids dad that my 5 year may have chicken poxs aswell so that's not good.
