Hey. Starting a new thread before the last one runs out. I will post a link to it in the old one so hopefully everyone can find it.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
RayM · 21/03/2018 08:16

@Crapbags 😂 that sounds like a good idea. Everyone keeps saying it feels like I’ve been pregnant forever - I knooooow!! I’m a FTM so guess I will live and learn!

TheMrs04 · 21/03/2018 08:18

I'm all good this morning! Still no baby sick and tired of the constant messages of "any sign" or "still not here then?"
Booked in for my sweep tomorrow!
Packed DH off to work for the last time this week! Poor bloke has worked the last 10 days straight have told him I can guarantee I'll go into labour on his first day off work 🙈
My mum decided it would be great to buy my ds1 a toy hoover as an early birthday present! Well it's the Bain of my life right now!! The noise is driving me potty and the batteries don't seem to be draining any!! On the plus side give it a few years and he will be hoovering up for me 😂

RayM · 21/03/2018 13:25

So I’ve just got back from my sweep. Midwife reckons I’m 2cm dilated and she can stretch this to 3cm so I’m feeling positive! Baby’s head is down and ‘in a good position’. Gosh, it was uncomfortable though! Been for a short walk and got some hoovering to do - might help push her down some more!

Mugglenet · 21/03/2018 13:43

I'm also just back from sweep... Cervix closed and in posterior position. Not feeling very hopeful.

RayM · 21/03/2018 13:58

@Mugglenet Ah, that’s disappointing. Are you booked in for another sweep? C’mon babies!

Mugglenet · 21/03/2018 14:03

No. Induction next Wednesday. Will you get another sweep @rayM

RayM · 21/03/2018 14:05

Ah! Yes, if this one isn’t successful I’ll have another next week before being induced - they won’t do this until 14 days over. Hoping for the best though!

Ragdolly81 · 21/03/2018 14:05

I am the same no signs at all. sick of people going oh u still pregnant or u seem to of been pregnant for ages. Yeah I know I feel like I have aswell. Now 40+4 and feeling like she will never come at all. Was really hopeful last week when I had my show. But now I just feel heavy and tiered all the time. Can't get into to see a midwife to ask for a sweep so going to have to just wait now.

Mugglenet · 21/03/2018 14:05

@themrs04 also very irritable, when people text or phone... I know it's coming from a good place... but please leave me alone

Mugglenet · 21/03/2018 14:09

Is this your first baby @RayM? I'm dreading induction. However your sweep does sound positive... so fingers crossed for next 48 hours for u

RayM · 21/03/2018 14:16

@Mugglenet Yep, first baby. Had absolutely no signs either @Ragdolly81. I was half expecting to have an April baby before this mornings slight encouragement!

Clevs · 21/03/2018 16:29

40+3 here and no signs yet. Booked in for a sweep on Mon, a second one on Weds if not successful and then induction Fri if necessary.

I'm also getting all of the 'any news?' texts!

Vickylou78 · 21/03/2018 16:30

Ok so this might be too much information.... but I’ve had my first day off work on maternity leave with my toddler at nursery so thought I’d get a few things done. So I thought I know I’ll shave/de hair my ‘lady garden’ (sorry couldn’t think of better term for it!). Firstly it was a nightmare as so difficult to do around the bump! And secondly omg it’s horrible down there! Almost unrecognisable! Pregnancy does some weird things to your body!

MrsL2016 · 21/03/2018 16:39

Haha @vickylou78 that really made me laugh. I have taken a few swipes at my lady garden too in the hopes it won't be too unruly for labour, and more importantly afterwards. But I have mostly been working blind and haven't dared look too closely. I imagine from the way my downstairs feels in general it is probably all red and swollen. Not pretty.

Everything has quietened down here. No more contractions and just some lower back pain and pelvic pressure. I have been for a walk, done some cleaning and bounced on my ball in between.

Your sweep sounds promising @raym. Fingers crossed it gets things going for you. I will offered one on friday at 40+6 and I think I will take it.

RayM · 21/03/2018 17:57

@Vickylou78 😂 I have been trying to keep on top of mine but it’s just hoping I get the majority as I can’t see underneath my massive belly! I wait until the mirrors are all steamed up too so I don’t have to have a look at what’s happened to my body! I’ll save the scrutiny until after 👌🏻.

Vickylou78 · 21/03/2018 18:24

@RayM and @MrsL2016 glad to hear you are both keeping up with your ‘gardening’! I must admit I’d let myself go a bit wild so it was quite a job but I thought it would been so embarrassing to go into labour with midwifes peering at it without tackling it a bit!! I made the mistake of trying to use a mirror and yes definitely red and swollen and almost all pushed down (as the bump so low).... not pretty!! Hope it goes back to how it was?! I’ve got feeling it might be weird now for good!

Sorry to hear that you aren’t feeling much signs of progressing but fingers crossed it will all suddenly kick in!!!! Good luck! Babies soon!

MrsL2016 · 21/03/2018 18:27

We are definitely due some babies soon. We have had a bit of a dry spell.

Not sure our lady parts will ever be the same again but hopefully they won't be too weird or different from before.

Lots and lots of us will need stitches. I've been there 3 times. Try not to worry about going back to normal. Bodies are amazing things. It does take time but we will heal... day 7 post birth here and I'm feeling more comfortable every day.

Vickylou78 · 21/03/2018 19:19

That’s good to hear that @blinkinheckmum, I think with my first the stitches didn’t take long to heal and I think it all settled down and felt more comfortable by 6 weeks.

I think it did take me a good year for my whole body to change back completely though and I was wondering if it will be even longer for subsequent children and at my age as I’m almost 40! It’s amazing what our bodies can do though isn’t it!!

Really looking forward to baby arriving now!

Exciting to hear about all the sweeps going on! Fingers crossed some baby news soon!

Crapbags · 21/03/2018 19:40

😂 @vickylou78 I attempted to do some ahem ‘gardening’ down below and I was fairly horrified at how odd it felt down there! But for me this is no.3 and it does eventually go back to a relative ‘normal’

I’m wondering how @gweatherwax is getting on? Hoping she has her baby now:)

Glad to hear your feeling better @blinkineckmum how’s baby doing?

I’m ‘only’ 39+3 and I’m already getting so much of the ‘oh so your still pregnant’ ‘any news’ etc. Texts/comments/calls I’m like I’m not even bloody due yet, chill out will you?!? Gahh if I go way over due date I may end up making a sign or sending out a group text each morning to say NOPE STILL NO BABY SO LEAVE ME ALONE!!! haha don’t mean to be grumpy but well..... I guess I am!!

sammy891 · 21/03/2018 20:24

I had my sweep yesterday and also been told cervix is too high up, they will attempt another one on this Friday otherwise have been booked for an induction next Thursday! Feeling scared of being induced so hoping baby hurries up.

blinkineckmum · 21/03/2018 21:22

Thank you. Once my acar took 8 months to go back to normal completely, and onemce a week!
But to reassure some, after my 1st I lost all my weight and more within a couple of months. Not much different for my 2nd either, except I lost my boobs after breastfeeding.
Baby is thriving. I am sore but much less today.

Ragdolly81 · 21/03/2018 22:11

Congratulations on your little ones arrival. I am feeling like I might go into labor but not surfing its just more wishful thinking. Not really got any signs just feel like I could sleep for Britain, painful braxton and loads of pressure that when ever I get a braxton feels like the baby moves closer to her exit and the waters are straining to not burst. I keep thinking one more braxton and her head will pop out lol.

GWeatherwax · 22/03/2018 03:45

Hello all, just a quick message to say I now have a gorgeous son, delivered via EMCS at about 10pm. I Haven't slept for a couple days so will update properly later but he's doing well!
