Excellent news @keeponrunning85 - hope you are able to relax a bit now!

brogueish · 15/02/2018 15:51

Great scan news keeponrunning and congratulations Eastend. Sending you both good wishes for uneventful pgs Flowers

LisaSimpsonsbff · 15/02/2018 16:44

Fantastic news, keepon - so pleased to hear the scan went well

Lifeofpies · 15/02/2018 18:25

Great scan news, keepon - congratulations!

UnicornsandRainbows1 · 15/02/2018 21:52

I was only gone a day and there's so much news!

@pattern Congratulations. What lovely news!

@Eastend We've decided to have our scan on the 28th too so will definitely give you a hand hold.

MsJuniper · 15/02/2018 22:02

Ooh lots of great news and updates.

Congratulations @NoParticularPattern - delighted for you.

Thanks @Prusik for showing us your boys - really lovely to see.

Good news also for @keeponrunning85 and @Eastend2015 - wishing you happy months ahead.

I've spent the last 36 hours looking after a poorly sick little boy and spraying everything in sight with antibac spray in the hope I don't catch his bug! Safe to say St Valentine took the night off in our house.

BertieBotts · 16/02/2018 00:32

Our genetic results are back but apparently our post redirect wasn't set up properly so nothing is being sent to us! Grr. But we'll have appointment on Tuesday to discuss them in person anyway.

@eastend2015 we are almost at exactly the same stage. I'm 5 weeks today. It is such an anxious time. My plan is to try and take it a day and a week at a time. Did you get referred for your scan? I haven't been able to book to se a midwife yet but hoping to get an 8 week scan (will pay for it if necessary).

coastalchick · 16/02/2018 08:10

@yellowfrontdoor thanks for thinking of me and @flatwhite32 (in a non creepy way!) Am ok. Just either vomming or nausea and awful constipation! (Sorry for TMI!). I'm also MASSIVE. My belly is literally huge and I'm only 8+5! Time is going SO slowly and we just want to hit the magical 12 weeks really. Feels like forever away. Having the Iona Test (like Harmony but quicker and slightly cheaper) on 27th which will be 10+2 and just hoping all will be ok. Seems like a long way away!

@flatwhite32 - hope you are having a fab time in NYC - am so jealous, it's my fave place!!!

Someone at work asked if I was pregnant yesterday which of course, I denied. I said "no, just fat" Grin

Niketan · 16/02/2018 08:32

So pleased to hear all the exciting and positive news from everyone.

I told my mum and sister this week because we are on holiday together and I’m feeling so unwell all the time I’m like the world’s worst party pooper. They want to be excited it’s tough. 8 week (ish) scan next Friday. Fingers crossed.

Looking forward to hearing everyone else’s news!

Flatwhite32 · 16/02/2018 13:23

@coastalchick just waiting at Newark airport to fly home! It has been amazing! We have walked loads (80km in 5 days!) and I am shattered, but it was so worth it. What a place! Looking forward to doing absolutely nothing this weekend. Aww I can see you are in the vomiting stage! Mine was at its worst from 8-12 weeks, but in a weird way I found it reassuring! Love your pregnancy lie. I'd never ask anyone if they were pregnant, as if they weren't, that would be mortifying!

Lifeofpies · 16/02/2018 13:47

Love that someone had the cheek to ask outright, costalchick! Good response. My belly has changed totally this week (16w) from being huge and bloated to a really obvious hard lump of uterus when I lie down. Always slightly lopsided! Nice to be able to feel it now though.

flatwhite glad you’ve had an amazing time in NY, i’d love to go one day. Enjoy totally chilling this weekend.

@coastalchick my bloating in the first 12 weeks was hideous! Now I'm 16+3 there's a more obvious bump thank goodness!

@FoxtrotSkarloey my Midwife managed to find my baby's heartbeat at my 16 week check on Monday but she did warn me it might not be possible to find.
A few of my friends have had midwives who have point-blank refused to try because it makes women feel anxious if they can't find it. To be fair I was in two minds about it because had she had not found it I would've been an absolute mess. The positive is not long til the 20 week scan!! Smile

Eastend2015 · 16/02/2018 18:57

Thanks unicorns and ek! I wish these things were more straightforward. Just had a really good friend over who patted my stomach and asked me how I was feeling. Er- anxious!? 5 weeks today too. Could self refer due to previous EP and RMC have suggested daily asprin so let’s hope that makes this one stick!

jellycrumble · 16/02/2018 19:52

Hello? Am I okay to join? Smile Been feeling fairly positive in this pregnancy so far (21 weeks along, no living DC). I had 2 miscarriages in the past 4 years, so although I've been feeling positive so far I'm starting to get doubts I'll actually be holding a baby in June. I feel like it's never going to happen!

hotcookie · 16/02/2018 20:13

Congratulations noparticularpattern

I now have 3 weeks left at work-YAY! Had 32 week growth scan yesterday, baby's head and abdo are 2 weeks ahead & femur length two weeks behind. Midwife says it's fine, still within normal ranges, and I'm short & husband has weirdly short legs for someone of 6ft. Next scan in 4 weeks.

Am trying to practice hypnobirthing, I think it will be easier once I'm not at work, at least I hope it will, DH is a bit of a sceptic, but I'm hoping he'll come on board! Builders start work monday week, so that might be a bit distracting though!

MsJuniper · 16/02/2018 21:53

@hotcookie I have 4 weeks left at work although might finish after 3+3 - getting so hard now! I have a general appt on Weds and then 36 week scan two weeks after.

My baby is also measuring ahead on abdo (I think due to Gd) but behind on femur and weirdly I also have a tall DH with disproportionally short legs!

@BertieBotts that is really annoying, were they able to give any indication at all before the meeting?

BertieBotts · 17/02/2018 01:01

It's results about DH not the baby, so nothing really to tell so it's not the end of the world to wait, but I was hoping to unleash them on my secret facebook group and find out what it was all about! Never mind, it's not long to wait now.

Hi everyone! Back from NY, so catching up on mumsnet! It was amazing, although I'm knackered today!

@MsJuniper and @hotcookie, not long to go now at work! I'm not surprised you're both desperate to finish!

Welcome @jellycrumble and congratulations!

We found out today that we are having a little girl. We are delighted, but to be honest we just wanted to know that baby was ok! DH was nearly crying with nerves bless him, and I was nearly throwing up with anxiety, but we both calmed down once we heard the heartbeat. We are both incredibly nervous about the 20 week scan, so we are keeping the gender from friends and family until afterwards. Nobody knows I'm on MN, and I know how much you lovely ladies understand the ridiculous anxiety that accompanies all of this! Here she is!

What wonderful news, flatwhite! And what a great scan! Many congratulations, so special. I hope you’re feeling ok, and resting after your trip.

We also had a scan today (16+5), and from this between leg shot I think it’s obvious what we’re having! Like you, just massive relief that it (he!) is doing well. I still asked for the screen to be turned off until the sonographer could find a hb...

Was good to also find out where my placenta is as I have a very lopsided lump, and it turns out it is at the front rh side and then wraps around to the back.

Lifeofpies · 17/02/2018 14:32

flatwhite meant to ask, did you enjoy doing the 4D? I’m not sure if I’d like it, but your pic is so clear.

zaalitje · 17/02/2018 14:43

flatwhite how far gone were you for that 4d?
I would like one and am getting conflicting info on when's best.

Smurf123 · 17/02/2018 15:21

Flat white and lifeofpies is great to hear good scan news!!
For this asking about 4D scans.. My doc was attempting to get photos on it from 28 weeks but baby is obviously camera shy! 34 weeks before we eventually got one facial image.. Hands up on one side placenta on the other! They seemed to say between 30 and 33 weeks was best time for 4D as can be hard one baby goes head down..

That’s so lovely, smurf. These pics are definitely convincing me about 4D.
