Baby due late August 2018

Hello everyone,
My husband (36 yo) and I (35 yo) have been trying to conceive for 6 months and yesterday, 3 days before my period was due, I took an early pregnancy test at home... and it came back positive! Today I'm 3 weeks + 5 days.
We're both over the moon, however now I'm starting to worry that I tested too early and this may end up in a miscarriage. :(
I'm literally worrying over any sign of discomfort, cramp, etc. I'm even worried my cough may dislodge my little sprout! Is anyone going through the same?

Can I join in ..currently think I am 5wk 4 days but that could be wrong as I came off the pill and didn't have a period before conceiving. This is my 1st pregnancy so still a bit clueless but exhausted, having to have naps

Dreading going back to work tomorrow. I've been off sick since the 16th Nov when my ectopic ruptured and it's going to be so hard going back where it all happened and all the questions from everyone. I dont want people knowing what happened but not sure my aneamia excuse will really hold up. I dont know what to say to field off the questions!
Feels weird that I'm almost exactly as far along now as I was then too.

Hey guys sorry quick question does anyone else get hot and cold flushes sometimes I feel on fire and this morning I felt a bit cold is that normal? Trying not to worry about everything but it's so hard lol

@Helen290 I think it’s common with some pregnancies. I myself only get hot in bed or doing chores. They say to try not to get to hot as it can have risks and complications with the baby, so if I feel hot I just sit down take a breather and have a cold drink.

I am the same in bed I'm very hot and if I do anything, but In the morning if I just sit I feel a bit cold I'll be so glad when I have my 6 week scan and then hopefully 12 this worrying is horrible lol

Has anybody told work yet? If so what were your reasons for telling. I wasn't planning on telling them until 12 weeks and 1st scan was out of the way, but i'm in two minds now.

I am not saying till my 12 week scan and I think it's advised to wait till then but it's up to you I guess what ever you think is best.

I’m not telling work until I legally have to - 15 weeks before my due date, which is early May for me. Pregnancy is not at all encouraged/expected at my work so I’m not looking forward to it!

I've been feeling queasy the last couple of days and vomited this morning, feeling rough today! I'm going to tell work soon, just because of the nature of my work I travel a lot so will need to tell them before flight bookings etc. Not looking forward to it, I don't really know how to go about it!

I felt queasy this morning...quickly ate some toast. I can't leave reception unattended or have food on it so may have to inform manager so I can make a sharp exit if needs be and snack on crackers ..going to try and leave it for at least a couple of weeks

I’m scared to tell work, I’m going to tell them after my 12 week scan. But like a week or so before this I’m moving into my new job (same company but different job role and different Manager), also I’m only 20 so I hope my new Manager doesn’t drop me from this new job. Haven’t signed the paperwork yet, was gunna do that then tell them after my scan. Any advise?

Have eaten 2 fatty burgers and only because I forgot I was pregnant! Really hope the baby can forgive me for being a pig! Lol had a lot of gas this morning

I'm going to hold off as long as I can before telling work. This is my first so I don't know when I'll start to show! But I'd hope to go well past 12 weeks before telling them. When I tell my boss I'll likely have my role stripped right down to office based (last colleague who went o maternity leave had this happen when she announced her pregnancy). It'll be part of an OTT 'risk assessment' and will make the job a lot more boring so will hold off if I can!

Feeling more crampy today lol can't win I don't have much yesterday so I worry have more today and I still worry lol

Hi everyone I'd messaged the other day just joining in was talking about having cramps and being worried and stuff. Just wanted to re assure everyone that I have been having them really bad the last couple of days I'm constantly worrying as I lost a baby in september. Saw the doctor this morning as I was worried and the hospital got me straight in for a scan. They thought it could be ectopic but the baby was right where it should be and there was even a heart beat. I'm 5 wks and 4 days and my last period started on 18th Nov (I think I saw somewhere that someone else's was) didn't expect at all to see a heartbeat but it was there you could see it flickering. Said my pains should be just related to early pregnancy. So for everyone whos worrying about cramps just to re assure you it's normal ☺️☺️

@abbeyb123 I had my last period on the 21st November but my apps telling me investors 6 weeks, how can that be if you are 5 weeks 4 days? Really confused

Gem173 my periods aren't 28 days they are every 33 so that's why I'm a bit behind could be why your 6 weeks already

Had my first proper episode of sickness this morning. Felt rough all day but wasn't sick again. I feel I will have to tell work if this continues and because of the nature of my role as soon as I tell them I will be office based. I think I will hold out until I get the date for the scan- I hope it comes soon. Went to the drs last Wednesday, thought might have got an apt letter by now.

How many weeks are you? I’m sure the letter will come soon, they can’t give 12 wk scans past around 13 week 4 days. So I’m sure it will come before then x
