Hello everyone,
My husband (36 yo) and I (35 yo) have been trying to conceive for 6 months and yesterday, 3 days before my period was due, I took an early pregnancy test at home... and it came back positive! Today I'm 3 weeks + 5 days.
We're both over the moon, however now I'm starting to worry that I tested too early and this may end up in a miscarriage. :(
I'm literally worrying over any sign of discomfort, cramp, etc. I'm even worried my cough may dislodge my little sprout! Is anyone going through the same?

snowy1982 · 30/12/2017 18:35

Hi flora, just messaged you on the other board Smile

Sealaplace · 30/12/2017 19:00

Hope everyone is good and feeling positive going into the new year! Hoping it's a good one for us all :)

abbeyb123 · 30/12/2017 20:51

Hi hope everyone doesn't mind me joining. I found out on Friday 23rd were expecting our 2nd child. This if my 3rd pregnancy as I had a miscarriage in September. We were absolutely devastated and I just can't help but worry now that we might lose this baby. It's so hard to think positive. I'm 5 weeks and 2 days (I think) or something around them dates. My boobs were sore but have wore off now and I just have a constant dull ache pain in my stomach and back. Hoping this is normal as I can't remember with my little girl she's 3 now and you just seem to forget.

snowy1982 · 30/12/2017 21:37

Hi abbeyb, this is my first ever BFP so I don’t know if that’s normal but I really hope it is, since I have the same dull ache in my stomach and lower back

abbeyb123 · 30/12/2017 21:46

Hi snowy congratulations!! I'm sure it is normal I'm just overthinking everything. I've spoke to my cousin and she's 20 weeks pregnant now and she said she had lots of it! Suppose our bodies are changing so there's going to be all different pains aslong as nothing severe and no bleeding I'm sure it's all normal ☺️

Helen290 · 31/12/2017 09:32

I have aches and cramping type of feeling on and off usually more at night and feeling tired and occasional back pressure rather then pain no other symptoms I am now 5 weeks 1 day I think from what I have read a lot of other symptoms usually start after 6 weeks I have my scan in a week so fingers crossed for me it will be ok 🤞🏻 so worried.

5 weeks 5 days, got the same symptoms as you ladies. Lots of gas, lots of stretching pain which is prob the uterus stretching, mild backache, and I literally fall asleep at 8pm now and not my usual 10/11pm! 6 weeks to go till I have a scan :( so long

Helen290 · 31/12/2017 17:46

Hi guys quick question I read on an article that women who are pregnant shouldn't use antiperspirants containing a lot of chemicals which are in most antiperspirants is this true?

PinkChocolatex · 31/12/2017 18:12

Ohhh can I join too please. Not sure of the exact due date yet but it's late August/early September - it's our first little bubba so we're super excited! xx

BeesKnees9 · 01/01/2018 07:45

Hi Helen299, personally I would assume that any deodorant is fine - if it wasn’t I assume there would be something in the NHS guidelines and deodorants would have labels saying not safe during pregnancy! Flowers

Hi to everyone that has joined recently too, I hope you all had a fab new year! I am 5 wks 3 days now, trying to stay calm and positive as I have had lots of cramping recently and I’m knackered!! No spotting or bleeding so I guess that’s a good sign. Does anyone have morning sickness yet? I know it will feel aweful but when it kicks in I think it (baby and pregnancy) will feel much more real and everything is going as planned..

snowy1982 · 01/01/2018 08:04

Beesknees9, I am 3wks 6 days and have been feeling cramping consistently since I tested, nothing too painful and no spotting or anything, so I am hoping it is just to be expected. I’m testing every morning and still getting BFP (actually nearly out of tests so ordered some more this morning, am a little bit addicted to POAS now). No morning sickness here, but I think it’s too early for me, have had a few queasy spells and sense of smell is in overdrive (very unusual for me as my sense of smell is generally pretty poor) so have made DH put all his stinky Christmas cheeses in the fridge in the shed to keep them out of my way

Helen290 · 01/01/2018 11:36

@BeesKnees9 people don't tend to get morning sickness till after the 6 week your hcg has to be higher for that to kick in but not everyone gets it some people have hardly any symptoms all of their pregnancy, we are all snow drops when it comes to pregnancy 🙂

Gem173 · 01/01/2018 11:45

6 weeks tomorrow eeek! My app says my baby’s heartbeat could be beating already! Very exciting, no morning sickness as of yet so fx it stays this way :) hope everyone else had a wonderful new year xx

Wendykennedy · 01/01/2018 12:06

@Gem173 I'm the exact same 6 weeks tomorrow and no morning sickness thank God. Cramps have also gone so just sore boobs now and some bloating. Fx for an easy few wks especially going back to work 🙈

WaitingforToto · 01/01/2018 12:24

Hey everyone, happy new year!
I’ll be 7 weeks on Wednesday, and also not really any morning sickness as yet. I’ve had a few spells of feeling a bit queasy but nothing tol

WaitingforToto · 01/01/2018 12:26

Sorry, I pressed too soon!..
I’ll be 7 weeks on Wednesday, and also not really any morning sickness as yet. I’ve had a few spells of feeling a bit queasy but nothing too awful. Just can’t wait for my scan on Sunday to check everything looks ok, they have said that we should be able to see and hear a heartbeat so that’ll be super special!

Herecomesanotheron2018 · 01/01/2018 13:55

I'm 6 weeks today and have had nausea since I was 4 weeks + 3 days. It's so much worse today. Even the thought of drinking makes me shudder and have to fight my gag reflex. I have a banging headache but I just can't drink 😭

Helen290 · 01/01/2018 15:41

I am 5 weeks 3 days and I have had cramping little twinges in my uterus for a while now every day, however for the last two days not as much mostly at night time, I know everyone is different but just wondering if anyone else has found in their 5 week the same thing? Does thing stop stretching in the 5 week?

Gem173 · 01/01/2018 16:30

@Helen290 now I’m approaching 6 weeks my stretching pains have muted. However I think we will get them each week at some point as the baby will apparently double in size each week. I just need to constantly wee!

Helen290 · 01/01/2018 16:50

@Gem173 not just me then that's put me at ease you always worry when something changes, I seem to always get a stretching pain after I go toilet mostly lol sorry TMI.
Yeh I'm the same constantly need a wee lol and just tired I go for afternoon naps don't know what I'll do when work starts again tomorrow 😔 lol.

snowy1982 · 01/01/2018 17:21

Have to say all this talk of cramping, twinges and pains is easing my mind. First ever BFP (after 3+ years TTC) and am panicking over every cramp/twinge

agteacht · 01/01/2018 17:26

Hi all

Congrats to you all and please could I join?

I just found out last night (and confirmed this morning with multiple tests lol) that I'm pregnant. I'm 34 (almost 35 😮) and my husband is 36, this will be our first child.

Already I've realised I know NOTHING about how this all works! For example is it right that I could already be 6 weeks pregnant?? You really count it from your last period? My last period started 18 November and I think we conceived 7 December. Ovia App is suggesting a due date of 26 August 😮
But clearblue digital said 2-3 weeks.

I have some similar symptoms... twinges / cramps for last few weeks) so thought I was getting period!), tiredness, gas. No sickness though.

From reading this thread it seems the best thing might be to call my doctors surgery tomorrow and ask if I need to see the doctor or alternatively get them to make me a midwife appointment in around two weeks time at 8 weeks?

Thank you all 😘😘

agteacht · 01/01/2018 17:27

Me too snowy! 😂
