Hello everyone,
My husband (36 yo) and I (35 yo) have been trying to conceive for 6 months and yesterday, 3 days before my period was due, I took an early pregnancy test at home... and it came back positive! Today I'm 3 weeks + 5 days.
We're both over the moon, however now I'm starting to worry that I tested too early and this may end up in a miscarriage. :(
I'm literally worrying over any sign of discomfort, cramp, etc. I'm even worried my cough may dislodge my little sprout! Is anyone going through the same?

@Gem173 I am the same I don't feel pregnant in the day either, I did a clear blue digital a week ago which said 1-2 weeks and I did another one yesterday which said 2-3 so I'm pleased just hard not to test every day it's nice to have sons reassurance lol 😂

Gaby1982 · 28/12/2017 19:51

I had an appointment with my GP today and it all went well. He took my blood pressure, checked my heart beat, my lungs and my ankles for swelling (non, and all the other things were fine).
@beesknees9 I mentioned again about Hashimoto -I'm currently on 25 micrograms every other day- and he has referred me to Barnet Hospital for a blood test and other usual checks. He said my dose may need to change as the pregnancy progresses.
If you're all happy with it, I can set up a Facebook group no problem. I was just wondering if we should wait for 12 weeks... although I have to say that it's been amazingly comforting being able to chat to all of you and share experiences! xxx

I done a cb digital last week which said 2-3, but haven’t done one since. Not sure if I should x

Sealaplace · 28/12/2017 20:18

@helen290 that's good you have a scan arranged as hopefully it will put your mind at rest. It's nice to have someone with the same dates!! That's a nice side effect having nice skin!

WaitingforToto · 28/12/2017 20:22

I have similar symptoms, slight twinges, feeling tired and really sore (and definitely bigger!) boobs, but a couple of days ago the soreness went and I panicked. It’s back now though so I’m taking that as a good sign. I’m terrified about having a MMC, I need to stay away from Google. I just need to make it to a week on Sunday to have an early reassurance scan then hopefully that’ll put my mind at rest. The days just seem so long, I’m not really enjoying this waiting game! #paranoid

Helen290 · 28/12/2017 21:50

Sorry if this is TMi but do people find their Cm dryer some days then others or should it be watery/sticky most days?

Sammyclaire22 · 28/12/2017 21:55

I've noticed my skin has improved dramatically too! Not sure if it's the increase in water or the hormones. Tiredness has hit me big time today though.
I gave in and went to m&s today as my bra was hurting and I've gone up a whole bra size (good for me as not that much to start with!!) I got a couple of wireless bras in the sale- OMG my girls feel like they are in pillows!

Flowerqueensw · 28/12/2017 23:34

Can I Join?! I’m 4 weeks and 2 days, first pregnancy. Due 4th September.

I’m really excited but totally agree about worrying about every twinge! Hopefully seeing my GP next week.

Helen290 · 29/12/2017 11:37

I really need some help I stupidly did another pregnancy test after yesterday and lines ever so slightly lighter (picture below) the one I did today is the one below the one saying 2, I'm so worried now I think my urine was less concentrated but I'm not sure I also did a digital on Wednesday it's becoming a bit obsessive and now all I'm doing it worrying I wanna cry do I need to worry?!

Sammyclaire22 · 29/12/2017 11:57

@helen290 don't worry they both are clearly positive it could be anything from the unrine concentration or how long you held them in it to slight differences between the two tests themselves. All is good :)

WaitingforToto · 29/12/2017 11:58

I’m no expert but I think that a positive is a positive, I would really try to not work yourself up on this as it won’t do you any good @helen290 you’ve got 3 tests there that all say the same thing. There’s a lot of things that can affect the appearance of the line, urine concentration being one of them, also the test themselves, time of day etc etc...try to stay calm but if you’re really worried it might be worth a call to the doctor to see if they can see you, to put your mind at ease? x

Helen290 · 29/12/2017 12:07

@Sammyclaire22 @WaitingforToto thank you it's just so hard not to worry I'm so scared I'll have another MC this is a better picture left was yesterday right was today 😔

WaitingforToto · 29/12/2017 12:25

They look the same to me. Try to stay calm, as worrying will do you or your sprout any good but staying calm will x

Sammyclaire22 · 29/12/2017 12:27

@helen290 they are both clearly positive please try not to worry xxx

I know it's really hard (I'm am as bad as the next person for googling worries at 4am) but I try to tell myself that if fate decides this sprout isn't to be either, I owe it to the baby to enjoy every day I know it's safe in me rather than wishing the time away for the next scan or worrying about symptoms or signs.
Each morning the app adds another day feels like a little victory x

Helen290 · 29/12/2017 12:31

@Sammyclaire22 @WaitingforToto thank you so much just hearing kind words from you guys makes me feel better 🙂 I'm not doing anymore tests just got to try and enjoy it.

SPARKS17 · 29/12/2017 12:40

Hi everyone

Can I join in, I'm 34 only TTC for 2 months and had a bit of a Christmas surprise finding out I was pregnant with my first. App has me at almost 6 weeks due 26th August.

I'm very cautious at this stage as quite a few of my friends MC and its very early days. Managed to hold off telling the parents over Christmas as didnt want to get their hopes up until we are certain all is ok but I have told a couple of friends largely because I was so shocked and needed a bit of a hand hold! I am seeing the midwife on the 18th Jan.

Anyone elses tummy feeling weird I feel so bloated and anything with a waist band over my tummy feels like too much pressure, slept with my PJs around my thighs last night they were annoying me so much!

Wendykennedy · 29/12/2017 14:30

I'd love to join too! Looks like August will be a popular month!
I'm 33, first TTC and lucky on the first month. I'm 5 weeks and 3 days.
Tender breasts and pulling and cramping down both sides of my tummy. So nice to be able to "feel" pregnant.
I'm not feeling sick thanks God. Hope it holds.
Looking to book an apt in the next week! Exciting.

Gem173 · 29/12/2017 14:36

Hey,
Anyone else got bad gas cramps? I’ve been gassy all day and had cramps too in this area, feels like a mixture of period type and ovulation type pain. Not as bad as period pain but not unnoticeable. I’ve had it all day and my left breast has been really itchy. Hope everything okay in there :/

Wendykennedy · 29/12/2017 14:59

@Gem173 I would describe my cramps as similar to yours. Just using a hot water bottle for comfort but like you said not in pain exactly but there's plenty going on in there! I have some itchiness on my breasts as well I think it's meant to be the skin stretching... fun and games already!

Herecomesanotheron2018 · 29/12/2017 15:02

Yes sparks, I can't stand waistbands at the moment either!! All my jeans feel awful. I can just about cope with baggy pjs. I've been complaining about it so much today that dh said he would go up to the attic and get my maternity jeans. I was like nooo I'm not even 6 weeks yet, that's far too soon 😂

Gem173 · 29/12/2017 15:28

@WendyKennedy hope it all goes well for you! I hope it’s stretching pains lol I’m 5 weeks 3 days so got a lot of this pain to come too :(

louella99 · 30/12/2017 11:46

I've had some mild cramping too, I've got used to the sore boobs now which have been sore ever since I ovulated!

I'm 5 weeks 2 days today. Feel like it's too good to be true but just trying to take each day at a time.

snowy1982 · 30/12/2017 13:47

Hi, can I join in? Have been TTC for 3 years (unexplained infertility) and after 7 rounds of IUI finally got my first ever BFP yesterday, needless to say I am excited and terrified in equal measure.

Don’t have a clue what to do with myself now, do I contact GP straight away or leave it a bit?? So much to think about

Herecomesanotheron2018 · 30/12/2017 14:32

Welcome snowy and congratulations! How far along do you think you are?

It's worth contacting your gp surgery next week and asking if you need to see a gp, or if they can just book you in with the midwife. You generally see the midwife between 8-10 weeks for a booking in appointment and then have your first scan at approx 12 weeks.

snowy1982 · 30/12/2017 14:34

Thanks herecome, I am 3 weeks 4 days. I tested yesterday, exactly 2 weeks after IUI
