Hello everyone,
My husband (36 yo) and I (35 yo) have been trying to conceive for 6 months and yesterday, 3 days before my period was due, I took an early pregnancy test at home... and it came back positive! Today I'm 3 weeks + 5 days.
We're both over the moon, however now I'm starting to worry that I tested too early and this may end up in a miscarriage. :(
I'm literally worrying over any sign of discomfort, cramp, etc. I'm even worried my cough may dislodge my little sprout! Is anyone going through the same?

Thank you for starting this post! I’m the only one awake as I’m so worried - that I may be pregnant, that I might not be - my period is only five days late but I have all the symptoms that I had with my previous pregnancy (although this will be my first child) and it is very comforting to see other wonderful women having the same thoughts as me! Due september 1st if I get a positive on a test tomorrow.

Sammyclaire22 · 26/12/2017 04:36

Hi everyone can I join? I'm due the 29th August. Currently can't sleep as my mind is racing since we found out!

We have 2 v early scans, tomorrow (private) and the day after (nhs) as I had an ectopic in November at 6 weeks so need to check this one is ok asap. I'm just hoping we can see something to show it's in the right place.
I saw the gp soon after finding out which in hindsite was very useful. She did a pg test and bp then got me to book in with the midwife. This probably saved my life as when I started having pain last time i called the midwife who told me to get checked out. If i hadn't I would have just gone home to rest and wouldnt be here now as I was bleeding internally. Plus my midwife is very busy so its good to get in early to get an appointment booked!!

Symptoms are the same as last time- sore boobs and twinges. I think they are normal as the ectopic pain felt more like the cramps you get with food poisoning.

Hi all, I took a test on Friday which was positive. Best Christmas present ever! Told Hubby and my Mum on Christmas Day. My periods were all over the place and didn't record when my periods were as was starting to get stressed with putting pressure on myself. Planning to make a Gp apt and go from there x

BeesKnees9 · 27/12/2017 11:25

Good luck @sammyclaire2 with the scan today, I hope it goes well Smile

Congratulations to you as well @ladybirdno1, what a fab day to announce on! How did your mum and hubby react?

Sammyclaire22 · 27/12/2017 12:42

Thanks guys, scan today went perfectly Smile they had a huge screen on the wall so me and dh could both see which was so lovely and they could see the gestational sac and yolk which all looks normal for 5 weeks and more importantly it's in the right place!!! We get a print out report and the scan images on usb too!
@mimitiggy did you a test??

Gaby1982 · 27/12/2017 13:21

@sammyclaire22 So happy your scan went well! Congratulations and fingers crossed everything continues to go smoothly!
Today I'm 5 weeks exactly and tomorrow is my 1st appointment with the GP. I haven't had any bleeding or any worrying sings, but still I'm a little bit nervous. Are you guys using any apps to track your little sprout's progress? I'm using OviaPregnancy but would love to hear what you are using.
Love to you all!

Thanks @gaby1982 we are exactly the same time along!!
I use ovia and the bump apps. The bump has cool little 3d models that show you the development each week nicely x

WaitingforToto · 27/12/2017 18:03

Hi everyone!
Glad to hear that things are going to plan @sammyclaire22 Smile I am 6 weeks today, but still quite addicted to POAS ‘just to double check’. We told our best friends last Friday which was really nice, and also helpful as we threw a big party yesterday and I needed help from them to disguise my non-drinking. I am actually dreading telling my mum, she’s never held back on telling me that she doesn’t want to be a grandma and actually spent all Christmas Day warning me that if I ever have a baby she’ll want nothing more to do with me! Insane really, but it’s happening so her problem to deal with!

Sealaplace · 27/12/2017 18:18

So happy everything went well for you! I've had such a lovely Christmas without alcohol, think I have enough of a buzz from excitement!
My partner doesn't feel ready to tell his brother as they are very close and he's been struggling ttc. I don't want to force it so we're waiting to tell him before anyone else. Does anyone have any words of advice on how to tell him??

We have an annual night out tonight with all our friends and I've no idea how to hide the non drinking - they'll all know immediately!

BeesKnees9 · 27/12/2017 18:27

That’s great news @sammyclaire22!

@gaby1982 I have been using pregnancy+ which was the first one on the apple AppStore - no idea if it’s any good compared to others! It has daily little posts, what to expect for the week of pregnancy you are in, the size of the foetus etc - finding it interesting so far.

Had a bit of a wobble on Christmas Day, we visited my extended family and one of the younger kids had some sort of viral rash. My mum (who we told on Christmas Eve) practically tackled me out of the room as it could be rubella and obviously no one knew I was pregnant so didn’t think to warn us :( I have a blood test tomorrow with the GP to make sure I am immune to it, fingers crossed the rash was nothing to be worried about and baby and I will be completely fine. Trying to remain calm and not google too much!

TTCI · 27/12/2017 18:35

@Gaby1982 I'm the exact same !!! I'm due late august I think between august 19-22 it's absolutely terrifying Im 6 weeks right now I'm in bed with an ice pole because the nauseas so awful 😷 this is my first baby too 😃

Helen290 · 27/12/2017 19:05

Hey guys I am new to the group I am 4 weeks 4 days so I'm due 1st of September I have very mild aches in my uterus and fatigue that's all it seems lots of people have sore boobs but I don't is that something to be worried about?.

Sammyclaire22 · 28/12/2017 10:51

Everyone's symptoms will be different so don't worry! As long as the stick says positive then enjoy it Smile
I had my nhs scan today (they wouldn't defer it to next week) And nothing new to report but have to go back in 2 weeks for a development check as it's too early to see bubs yet.
Bitter sweet today as it's 6 weeks since my ectopic.

Is anyone interested in setting up a private fb group for us late August ladies?

Sammyclaire22 · 28/12/2017 10:52

Oh and what did the gp say @beesknees9?

Gem173 · 28/12/2017 14:36

Hi ladies only 5 weeks 2 days but haven’t got my doctors appointment till 8th jan when il be 7 weeks ish. Seems so far away and am dreading it if something is wrong :(

Gem173 · 28/12/2017 14:37

Am due 28th aug (what ovia app says)

Gem173 · 28/12/2017 14:47

I do keep thinking if I haven’t got any bad pains or no bleeding then I’m fine and the babies fine. Although I’ve read up on a missed miscarriage and am terrified it might happen. What isn’t fine at the moment is my diet ! Been trying really hard to eat healthier but getting sidetracked by tins of Christmas chocolates etc. Anyone else finding it hard to resist ?

Helen290 · 28/12/2017 17:00

@Gem173 I am the same I worry a lot after my MC about little twinges etc but at the end of the day nothing can be done if it happens it's beyond our control so I just try to enjoy it some days are better then others I had done so many pregnancy tests just checking everything is still ok I know that's insane but I can't help it lol. Does anyone else get occasional twinges or like an aching pain very mild comes and goes?

Sealaplace · 28/12/2017 17:46

@helen290 I've been getting aches and twinges too, usually in the evening but I think that's just because it's when I'm relaxing I notice it x

Helen290 · 28/12/2017 18:35

@Sealaplace I get them randomly morning and evening sometimes on my left side sometimes right sometimes just an ache or twinge not usually for long also feeling tired other then that no other symptoms.

Helen290 · 28/12/2017 18:35

@Sealaplace how far along are you? And do you get yours most days? I'm worried if it stops that means something lol

Helen290 · 28/12/2017 18:44

Also do you ever get aches which feel slightly like they are in your lower back which don't last long?

Sealaplace · 28/12/2017 18:53

@helen290 I'm 4 weeks and 6 days so really early days but yeah every day I think I get a dull pain or twinge kinda like a cramp feeling. I'm absolutely exhausted today as well! I've had really sore boobs for a few days but thankfully that's a bit better today. I know what you mean though everything that happens I panic and then if I'm not feeling any symptoms I panic more! Booked my 8 week app with the midwife today so only a couple of weeks and she'll hopefully put me at ease! Have you booked in for your first appointment?

Helen290 · 28/12/2017 19:05

@Sealaplace I am the same 4 weeks 6 days lol I have my scan on the 8th at 6 weeks cause I had an MC and I am under fertility I get an earlier scan so nervous tho, that's one thing I didn't get was sore boobs just fatigue and amazing skin lol which I never get I suffer terribly from acne.

Gem173 · 28/12/2017 19:24

I tend to get adominal pain in the day usually if I get up fast. I tend to have more twinges in the evening after work, and had bad heartburn today which I last had on the day before I took a preg test. So taking it as a good sign. Might do a cheap preg test before bed just to make sure but done one two days ago and it was still a solid line. It’s weird I just don’t feel pregnant during the day.
