Hi there,

Does anyone feel like a chat?

Age: 34
TTC: 11 months
Due: July 2018

I had vivid dreams in the two week wait. Since BFP I've just had mildly sensitive boobs.

My colleague has just announced his wife is pregnant, they've just had their first scan, I can't help but feel he's stolen my thunder a little bit!

My pregnancy is going well so far, had horrible sickness in first trimester but second has been lovely so far. Had abit of hip pain the last few days but I'm sure that's just a common pregnancy niggle! Me too I'm usually very active and even on my days off work I'm up and about cleaning and doing stuff but I'm feeling drained now and I have to keep taking breaks all the time lol

Noonaylor · 23/04/2018 17:23

Glad you are over the sickness! I had bad pelvis pain, but I went on a child birth preparation class and they have advised me about how I am sitting and sleeping and after taking on their it has vastly improved. Xx

Advice*

lmx0 · 23/04/2018 18:04

I know the feeling @Charlottejade89 its taking me longer to do things now!!

Embracethechaos · 23/04/2018 19:48

Me too, I'm used to always being on the move. I got some phisio tips from a friend for my hip, rest and stretching has helped. My hip often gets sore, normaly when I decide I'm overweight so take up running but it only lasts a couple of weeks.. It's normally sore when I wake up and sometimes I sleep on the sofa but I'm in the third trimester now so haven't got to carry this extra weight. Picking things up from the floor is a pain as I'm always dropping things too. I'm a massive complainer - sorry. My nct course starts end of May.

lmx0 · 23/04/2018 21:57

@Embracethechaos poor you!! At lest your on the home stretch now!! And im with you on the things falling on the floor i seem to drop everything and have gotten to the point of if it aint important it can stay 😂

Embracethechaos · 25/04/2018 17:21

Just had the best revelation in tk max - beachwear = reusable maternity clothes. Grin

Lphil93 · 29/04/2018 18:49

Anyone had any experience with round ligament pain? I think that's what I'm experiencing but I can't help but wonder if something is wrong? 🤷🏼‍♀️

lmx0 · 29/04/2018 20:06

@Lphil93 whats it feel like? I have had it if ive turned to quickly more like a sharp pain

lmx0 · 29/04/2018 20:07

@Embracethechaos oh really?! Must admit that is a shop i hate with passion 😂

Embracethechaos · 29/04/2018 21:11

Lpphil, I've had lots of ligament, tummy pain esspesally when I've been active. It was partly bowels I think May have been those b contractions but they never last long and I've just had a scan at 29 weeks and everything was fine. I did have some cramps which turned out were caused by slightly low iron so worth checking it with your midwife.

Embracethechaos · 29/04/2018 21:36

Imx0, I'm back in my winter maternity clothes now. Grin got my beachrobe hung up waiting for warmer weather. I enjoy browsing in tk max when I'm on my own, its primark I really don't like, but coming from Surrey all cheep clothing shops are manic and stressful, no shops here have a maternity range at the moment, it's all online which I prefer anyway. Also, my sharp movement pain has reduced now I'm sleeping better and getting the hang of this pregnancy routine. I've actually hated the second trimester the most and now my anxiety is under control and I'm off work am enjoying being in the third trimester - the home stretch, I had barely any first trimester symptoms I know textbook pregnancies are bt Grin. I'm just looking forward to the end of May when it's all go with the house move and nct courses, may is for relaxing so I'm looking up short last minute breaks with my husband for the first may half term.

Embracethechaos · 29/04/2018 21:37

Bank Holiday, not half term... Too many teachers in my family.

Lphil93 · 29/04/2018 21:55

@Embracethechaos @lmx0 I've had sharp shooting pain when I bend too quick or if I sneeze but this is more like a dull achey period pain in my lower abdomen 😳

Embracethechaos · 29/04/2018 22:18

Sucks, I've had pain like that. I try and hold my belly when I sneeze now. Probably nothing I'd call if I were you but I panic at the slightest symptom so not the best for reasurence. Maybe call a mum friend or relative?

Embracethechaos · 29/04/2018 22:25

Lp how far along are you? I've had similar pain. Maybe baby moving their head down to the pelvis, a good sign. That's the position my baby was in today but they keep moving all through third trimester. Mine is really active but her head is now not often moving out of the pelvis, they don't worry about position till 36 weeks but I'm worried about early labour. Just going to be very squashed in the third trimester.

lmx0 · 29/04/2018 23:15

@Lphil93 ive been having peroid like pain/cramps this week but i just put it down to things growing ive my 28 week check on fri so i shall mention it to the midwife then also last night when i came home from work my belly was really sore but i had a nap and felt alot better so maybe take it easy and see if that helps?

Lphil93 · 30/04/2018 07:09

@Embracethechaos I'm only 14 weeks so I'm a bit panicky! @lmx0 it couldn't definitely be that I'm a bit overworked! I have a week off soon so I'll definitely be taking it easy :) x

Embracethechaos · 30/04/2018 07:50

Good luck lphil, take it easy at work and exert your pregnant lady rights to lower stress until your week off. But your safer now your in the second trimester at least. This should be your work breaksCakeBrewSmile, hopefully a college bringing you the tea and cake.

Lphil93 · 30/04/2018 10:33

@Embracethechaos cake doesn't sound to bad right about now!! 😃

Embracethechaos · 30/04/2018 10:48

Ramp up those calories in the second trimester. Grin I snacked on rusks, allthough the packet finished far too fast.

lmx0 · 30/04/2018 11:04

@Embracethechaos rusks? As in baby rusks? @Lphil93 take things a little easier and see if that helps i bet you cant wait for a week off! Im very jealous!!

Embracethechaos · 30/04/2018 20:43

Yes, baby rusks lol. I bought them when I had pretty bad insomnia and they were by the till I thought it would be a healthy alternative to biscuits as I was craving to dip in my evening hot drink, also added it to my breakfast. I decided the added vitamins and minerals for babies would be just as good for fetuses. Grin
