Hi there,

Does anyone feel like a chat?

Age: 34
TTC: 11 months
Due: July 2018

I had vivid dreams in the two week wait. Since BFP I've just had mildly sensitive boobs.

My colleague has just announced his wife is pregnant, they've just had their first scan, I can't help but feel he's stolen my thunder a little bit!

Im doing all of the above, although being a bit further along I've had to give up exercise because overheating was making me feel so sick! I'm around 11/12 weeks now and I'm actually begin to feel a bit more human, although certain smells make me retch.

Wicket2016 · 20/11/2017 23:30

Hi can I join?...
I'm 32, this our first baby. We've been ttc for just under a year. My due date seems to be 15.07.18, but will know more after 12 week scan. We are excited but keeping things hush hush for now as I miscarried earlier in the year (& no one knows we're trying ttc). I was told I could be referred to the midwife via a phone call to the Gp. Having that call on Thursday. So far I've had some cramping, lower back pain and v swollen boobs! Already wearing a bigger bra. Apart from the tiredness I feel fine. Has anyone else carried on working out? All my friends give up when pg. But I've carried on with circuits and spin, just not pushing myself as hard. I want to keep going for as long as poss. I've read that the stronger/fitter you are the better labour and recovery can be. Congratulations to you all x

Hi! Also first pregnancy . Estimated due date 25th July currently (but my cycle isn't always perfect 28 days so thinking will end up being a few days behind that! ) . I'm 28 and I found out on Thursday right before 3 night shifts in a row which was a struggle with a now much more limited caffeine intake!

Very excited , really hoping everything goes ok. I'm a paediatric doctor so tend to see the worst things that can happen :/

Rubec · 21/11/2017 02:21

Hello all. First time poster here. I just had my bfp yesterday... all still feels so surreal. Due date calculated now to be 30.07.18
Feeling so anxious about it all as such early days 4+1 and it’s my first time. Just having period like pains but not other real symptoms is that normal for this stage?

hellybellyjellybean · 21/11/2017 06:11

Hi I'm going to jump in as well if that's alright! 33 and been ttc for a year. Got bfp on 8th. Incredibly anxious, panicking every time I go to the loo as worried there will be blood. Books are a bit tender, feeling a bit nauseous but when I'm busy I don't notice it. Sleeping dreadfully and shattered all day!!

hellybellyjellybean · 21/11/2017 06:13

I've also got my first midwife appointment tomorrow. I rang the gp and they said it isn't the doctors surgery you make an appointment with and gave me the number for the midwife and she booked me in as soon as she could.

hellybellyjellybean · 21/11/2017 06:14

Sorry last one, am weeing for England!!

Sarah1087 · 21/11/2017 10:45

Hi I am due July sometime :)

Online LMP says July 18th which was my nan's birthday :)
Scan on 27th which will put me around 7 weeks. I'm so nervous for it.

I was also worried of lack of symptoms my boobs hurt then they don't. But morning sickness has hit me hard now 😷

Poppyeve · 21/11/2017 11:51

Hi,

It's my first time on here!

It's my first pregnancy too and I'm 29, I'm due around the first week of June, so am 11 weeks now. I found out about 3 weeks ago, and immediately cut out alcohol, and take the vitamins I was given by the midwife. It still hasn't sunk in for me or my boyfriend! I've had no morning sickness, though more recently have felt a little nauseous now and I again. My major symptom is constipation and feeling bloated!

LMX0 · 21/11/2017 11:55

Hi all just found out im preg im due end of july 😊 how is everyone feeling?

Windowgazer123 · 21/11/2017 12:16

Hi all.
Welcome @LXM0, @poppyeye, @sarah1087, @hellybellyjellybean, @Wicket2016, @canoechick, @Rubec !!

@Wicket2016 - Congrats! Of course you must be anxious - hard not to be when you have been through what you have. I am still working out a few times a week. I did a tough cardio class last night but instead of giving it 100% I just gave 80% - although it is all psychological as I don't feel any different.

I am feeling ok. Just all feels surreal as I can't feel anything - I think I am just a bit more thirsty. I just wish I could get a scan to tell me there is something there for sure and it's ok. Feels like a long wait till the first scan.

I need to self refer to a hospital. I don't know if any of you need to choose hospitals etc but I found the Which site to be v.helpful.
www.which.co.uk/birth-choice
It has all the statistics etc

And an area explaining the different options available: www.which.co.uk/birth-choice/your-maternity-options

Hello,

I'm Tamara - 29 and this is my first pregnancy.
According to the NHS calculator, I'm due 16th July - which happens to be the day after my 30th birthday!

Had my first midwife appointment today (they call it a pre-booking appointment here) and to be honest, it's left me a little scared because it was all about the different tests and essentially, what could go wrong :(

We've also got a holiday to Walt Disney World booked in November next year, so that is going a whole new experience with a 4 month old!

Symptoms so far are sore boobs, stomach cramps & the tiredness is just overwhelming!

Look forward to reading everyone's posts :)

LMX0 · 21/11/2017 15:56

Hi tamara congrats!!! Im with you on the sore boobies ouchie i got my bfp this morning so it all seems like a dream!!! Ohh how exciting!!! I bet you cant wait i believe its magical and will be even nore with your newborn!!

LMX0 · 21/11/2017 15:58

@Rubec congrats im due 29th july!! Thats how i feel too like a mild peroid cramping so i assume its very normal

NombieZombie · 21/11/2017 16:32

Hey. Smile I'm 25 and I just found out yesterday. I'm due around the 26th of July so am only about four weeks along. Made an appointment with the midwife on the 28th of December which just seems ages away! First scan on the 15th of January.

I took two tests and they were both positive but I'm convinced I'm going to get to the scan and it will all have been a mistake. I've had a lot of heartburn though and been tired/extra clumsy. My tummy feels weird but it could just be in my head, since I know something's going on down there.

Anyway, nice to have some people to talk to. So far it's only my husband and sister that know.

LMX0 · 21/11/2017 18:25

Im the same i keep thinking its all a big mistake i took 2 tests as i didnt believe the first lol and since ive known my tummy feels strange dunno if its all in my head or not lol

hannknitted · 21/11/2017 19:47

@NombieZombie This is exactly how I feel too, glad it’s not just me. It’s like my brain just won’t process it and I can’t believe it’s real... keep thinking I’m going to get to the first midwife appt or first scan and they’ll tell me I’ve made a mistake. Hope I start believing it soon! Never really expected to feel like this, so strange!

NombieZombie · 21/11/2017 19:54

Feel crazy bloated like I'm gonna get my period any second lol. Horrible.

kate288 · 21/11/2017 20:11

Hi! I got my BFP on Sunday and think I'm about 4 weeks at the moment but will find out exactly at my 12 week scan. This is my first pregnancy.

Have any of you had any pink discharge/bleeding? I've had a tiny bit today and I'm feeling really worried. Expecting the worst to be honest. Hope everyone is keeping well!

MegEmski · 21/11/2017 21:06

Hi all :)

Age - 31
TTC - 1 month (v. lucky)
I'm 11 weeks - one week tomorrow until my 12 week scan!

Due 2nd week of June

Still running and riding (horse) but struggling with tiredness and nausea - worse in the evening.

Husband more excited than I am currently!

hellybellyjellybean · 22/11/2017 06:58

@kate288 I had some pink dischargyeatersya morning cue hysteria from me! I am 5/6 weeks so in a panic over what to do as haven't had my checking in appointment with the midwife yet although do have it today. Anyway I rang up where I am going for my midwife appointment and they said they have a midwife drop in thing for a couple of hours each day so I went to that. The midwife asked if I had period like cramps as well which I did. She said ago put a towel in my knickers so I have a better idea of how much there is but as there was no blood she wasn't worried. She said if there was any blood or the cramping was stopping me doing normal things then to give her a call but if it was after hours then to go to a and e. Her big advice was if things aren't right just go to a and e to get checked out. Luckily no more for me so fingers crossed that's it on the discharge!! Hope that settles your mind a bit

LMX0 · 22/11/2017 09:25

@hellybellyjellybean
Good luck for today hope all goes well!! 😁 ive had no discharge but have had mild period like cramps so not worried altho its always in the back of my mind that anytime i go to the loo (like a 100 times a day!) there may blood or something
@MegEmski good on you for keeping active i planning on keeping walking (not a bit walker but a little) and maybe go swimming

And congrats to everyone thats just joined 😁💕

MegEmski · 22/11/2017 10:08

@LMX0 ooh swimming is a good one. Apart from necessity of removing the forest from legs and bikini line!

I paid for an early scan at 9 weeks definitely recommend :) lovely seeing a heartbeat

LMX0 · 22/11/2017 10:28

@MegEmski oh dam i never thought about that!!!! Better blow the dust off the razor!! 😂 ohh sounds brill how do you go about that?

MegEmski · 22/11/2017 11:04

I did mine through ultrasound-direct they seem to have loads of locations. Was quite expensive at £89 but glad I did it!
