Overdue baby

I was due to have my first baby on 1st August. I've tried everything to get baby to arrive (had a sweep on 1st too) apart from sex as OH reckons he will hurt baby (typical man) 🙄

Any other suggestions even just to take my mind off the fact that baby isn't here and I see new babies everywhere I go?

Sarah congrats on the birth of your baby Smile

Huge congrats to all the new mummies on this thread. I'm feeling a little jealous hehe. I have the joys of childbirth to look forward to. Currently 5 days overdue. My midwife offered me a sweep this morning but I said I'd rather at least be a week overdue before any intervention... Hope baby take a hint and gets a move on soon as I am heavy and so over pregnancy!

Hope your gorgeous new babies are doing well and that you new mummies are recovering well xxx

Hi all,
I'm currently 8 days overdue with no signs that baby is on his way, and my midwife cancelled my appointment today as she got called out to another birth this morning, so I'm feeling very frustrated and want to punch the next person who asks if I'm overdue or have I had the baby yet. Seriously - when I've had the baby I will let them all know!
Also I went on maternity leave 2 weeks before my due date so I am pretty bored by now!
And I am the size of a house and can't get comfy :(

@Heatherbaby Thankyou. :) I was 11 days overdue when Maisie arrived so I know how annoying it is.

@luckycat2 I ended up with 2 months off before my due date because of being made redundant so I know how bored you must feel with just 2 weeks!

OMG Sarah, 2 months! At first mat leave was amazing but it's got a bit tedious now!
Congratulations on the birth of your baby x

Hi! I'm 7days over today also! And I also had two weeks off before my due date so feeling your pain! But two months😏 Would have driven me mad! I was fine until my due date then automatically bored!
No twinges over here! Had one sweep and got another tomorrow! I also had a stitch in my cervix due to a large loop exsion two years ago! So we had all the worry I wouldn't be able to carry the baby and now it won't come out! Ha ha!

Yes I was pulling my hair out after a few weeks. Especially once I got to the point where it hurt to go out for too long cos I was like a whale!

Now I'm wanting to go out but need to take my time as my head is ready but my body is still catching up x

I know what you mean SarahS2404, picking up DS (3yo) from nursery today was tiring. Then taking him home with newborn and buggy proved a challenge. Thankfully I was with DP! Grin

I had 7 weeks off before she finally showed up on Friday. 3 weeks holiday and 4 weeks maternity! Kinda had no choice to leave early though. Baby brain made me too stupid to do my job haha and it was too hot in my office.
@sarahs2404 we went out for the first time yesterday just walked around the corner I could barely push the pram lol should really listen to my body.

I still haven't gone out (day 9) apart from to sit in the garden this afternoon. I'm just not ready physically.

You do right, if you're not ready no point rushing.
I'm gonna relax the next few days now as everything aches. Sad

I'm just jealous of his grans, grandads and aunties who have all taken him out for walks in his pram! He's been to Tesco, Dunelm and B&Q without me so far.

I'm too scared to take her out on my own yet so DP has taken us to Tesco, LIDL and Matalan and all have been fine. We also walked to the nursery and back (only about 5 minutes each way) for her heel prick test. Don't worry about getting out too much, maybe try a walk around where you live first? I'm still quite achy so we aren't going far. She's 6 days old today and we're taking her for a big family meal to an Italian restaurant - I'm nervous! Hope she's okay. DP's family are all amazing though and I'm sure she'll have no shortage of people offering to change/cuddle her x

We've just been to Aldi. What is it with people trying to put their hands in the pram! Crazy old people!

We're just back from Tesco. He slept pretty much all the way around thankfully. Big excitement, finally hitting the supermarket after more than two weeks 😂
