Overdue baby

I was due to have my first baby on 1st August. I've tried everything to get baby to arrive (had a sweep on 1st too) apart from sex as OH reckons he will hurt baby (typical man) 🙄

Any other suggestions even just to take my mind off the fact that baby isn't here and I see new babies everywhere I go?

My fiancé was kinda disappointed he never got to try the gas and air. I went from full on screaming to making jokes when I got on it.

@NinaMarieP haha! Sounds like it should be available in the shops 😂

I was still tooting on the gas and air after my alien was born! I distinctly remember being high and the midwife coming in and telling me off Grin

Hahaa!! 😂 that sounds very entertaining!

I've got backache but that's probably from all the cleaning I've been doing. Im so tired and fed up it's getting me down now!

@Ookmybanana I don't blame you 😂 I had a childhood tea ... chicken drummers, chips and beans&sausage (DP won't have just beans being the big kid that he is 😂)

I was still clutching the gas and air for a while after he was born too zoflora. I'd been using it while I delivered the placenta and had a bit of a death grip on it even after that until someone relieved me of it.

Has anyone else had any progress?

I slept great last night (between the loo breaks & wriggling to get comfy) I've felt tired today though. Had a rock hard stomach and had back ache now I feel sick and have a headache 🙁 could it be the beginning of the end??

Hey! That's so weird, I literally could have written your post. Last night was the first in about a week where I've actually slept more than 5 hours, woke up feeling great but been having cramps (keep thinking I need the toilet then don't!?) and feeling very hormonal and irritable today. My stomach is also very hard and a bit sore. Let's hope one of us finally gets our turn! X

My visit to midwife confirmed I appear to be in the latent phase. Woke up at 3am with period type pains which were uncomfortable but I could get back to sleep. Been getting mild contractions throughout the day which seem to be getting more frequent and intense. I know it may slow down but I actually feel like something's happening at last. A mere 13 days after my EDD!

It all sounds promising ladies. I felt this all day on Sunday and she arrived early the next morning.
I'd cross everything for you but probably best not to Smile
Good luck Flowers

@LloydColeandtheCoconuts I sure hope so!

Tmi but I've just been to the toilet and there was a streak of blood in my show so I'm hoping so!

The backache is getting less bearable but I'm used to it from before I was pregnant so I can put up with a lot more than most haha!

@RedPandaMama I hope its happening for you! ☺️ keep us updated 😁

I've had some more pains. My cat (who's usually out from tea time until morning) has just come in and jumped on bump for cuddles (usually only happens when he comes in of a morning) I'm hoping this is a sign too!

Yep, that's about right SarahS2404. I only got discharged yesterday but had lots of visitors today. Thankfully it was family and the midwife so I was able to have a lie down and not worry too much about my manners Blush. They were all very understanding.

NinaMarieP · 09/08/2017 22:57

My visitors have all been treated to great views of my boobs Lloyd. Including my next door neighbour who we invited in for a minute as she was locked out.

They've been great though. My finance's mum walked about with the baby for more than an hour to keep him calm so I could nap, and my mum helped him latch on later and sat with me while he fed (and she's never BFd herself).

People say you need space and stuff and yes but to everyone still waiting on their babies don't underestimate the help visitors can be. Obviously not the case if you have the MIL from hell though.

Ofcourse! ☺️ still getting pains but they're not regular now. They were every 15 minutes to start with but have started to drift off. Maybe tomorrow will be the day x
