Cuppachaplz · 11/02/2016 21:33

Sorry to read this, mimi Thanks be kind to yourself.

I've been offline for a while as DS is in hospital with pneumonia and has been for a couple if weeks. We are still in, but finally seeming to turn a corner.
I gave my consultant appointment tomorrow which will hopefully be mire positive than last time, however DH will be with DS, so j will be flying solo. Confused

Going to grab a brew and catch up on the thread... Brew

JayBeanie · 11/02/2016 21:42

Oh no, I'm having a major panic! I've had a bleed, it was v sudden, bright red blood. It's stopped now. I feel fine physically, no cramps or anything but terrified. I don't know what to do with myself Sad. I'm 8 weeks tomorrow

sundayraspberry · 11/02/2016 21:57

Sorry to hear its turned out this way Mimi, hope you get what you want treatment- wise and look forward to seeing you back soon x

Hi turi, lovely to 'see' you again, I remember you from the TTC after mc thread Grin Congratulations on your bfp!

I'd be tempted to call midwife tomorrow jay, or gp if you've not had booking in app yet? Fx its just a one off bleed but fresh blood needs checking out I reckon.

sundayraspberry · 11/02/2016 22:02

Shame the pelvic pain has started again so early chandelier but it really good you can text the midwife. A BBC drama for the future perhaps? Smile Did they get back to you tho?

keys27 · 12/02/2016 07:54

So sorry my internet went down yesterday.

mimi I'm so sorry to hear of your news your were so positive and strong through it all you was amazing. I'm so sorry it worked out the way it did bigs hugs hung I hope we see you back again soon. Xxx

jay how are you today Hun maybe go and see the gp and explained what's happened they may be able to send you in for a scan. Good luck Hun.

chandeilier hope you get scan date soon sorry to hear your pain has started already. They say with a third pregnancy you feel things a lot sooner.

Good luck to everyone having scans today. Sorry to who are still all treating the early stages are the worst my pains were on and off so we're my symptoms and the 12 week scan seem a lifetime away. This forum defo helps you get through them weeks. I mean 5-12 weeks don't seem far but for us fretting it's like waiting for a piece of string to stop pulling.

sunday so pleased your reassure by hearing heartbeat you must also have a nice little bump coming out now as well :).

crumbles I have a good memory on here lol not anywhere else. How did you get on?

Got my consultation today with the specialist a little worried as been blacking out again and yesterday I hit my tummy so hard I'm now getting serious cramps in the night hoefukky he can check heartbeat for me.

Have a lovely Friday all will have a proper catch up later and welcome to our nebulous congratulations on your pregnancy. Sounds like you need a well needed break after your traumas last year. Such a positive attitude to have out last year behind hear 2016 is your year :).

keys27 · 12/02/2016 07:55

P.s sorry about all spelling mistakes have two DD's jumping all over me atm.

Crumbles12 · 12/02/2016 09:20

Mimi I am so sorry to hear your news Sad take care of yourself. I hope you get some answers and that we see you back here soon.

Cuppa Hope your DS feels better soon, sounds awful!

Jay I would give 111 a call or your GP, they can advise you and should book you an appointment at the EPU just to double check. Although some bleeding or spotting can be so common in pregnancy so doubt it is anything to worry about.

Our scan yesterday went perfectly! Was so lovely to get past this point and see the baby waving and moving about, everything all looks fine and no signs of any further bleeding so feeling quite positive! Also starting to definatley feel a very low small bump forming. Thank you for all your kind wishes.

Turi1983 · 12/02/2016 09:47

Mimi, I am so sorry. I too hope you will be back on the board again soon.

Cuppachaplz, I hope your son makes a speedy recovery – what a frightening time for you.

JayBeanie, last Sunday I had a sudden ‘flow’ of bright red blood, like the start of my period. It diminished over the night and then I had spotting on and off for a week and now it’s stopped entirely (touch wood). Call your EPU and see if you can get an appointment today. I've never booked via my GP, just booked directly with the EPU themselves.

Sundayraspberry, lovey to ‘see you’ again too! How many weeks are you now?

Keys27, will be keeping everything crossed for you today.

Our scan is at 4.20pm this afternoon –I wish I’d booked a morning appointment. The minutes are inching by very slowly.

Cuppachaplz · 12/02/2016 11:30

Jay if you can self refer to EPU in your area, try that. If not, ask your GP to refer you.
I bled heavily for 2w with ds2 and he clung on. Thinking of you.

Yay for good scan crumbles.

FX for you keys

Finally some good news here.
Baby growing well (too well maybe), cleared for VBAC, and DS has finally turned a corner so hoping to get home this weekend GrinGrinGrin

Northernlight22 · 12/02/2016 11:50

Jay definitely get it looked at, even for reassurance.

12 week scan letter has arrived today - 29th March which feels so long away. Can't wait to see midwife next week and hopefully get the referral to EPAU they told me I could have last time as I'm not going to be able to cope with not knowing til then. Far too anxious.

Lovely to hear positive scan news x

Bowserlovesmojitos · 12/02/2016 12:25

Jay from very recent personal experience bright red or heavy bleeding does not necessarily mean bad news - could instead be the shock of a lifetime!

Can I just ask a few when their symptoms started waning from first trimester? Coming up to same point we mc last time and feeling a little better (not so much nausea or other symptoms) and now managed to convince myself that little one who hung on has decided to leave after all Sad

Cannot have an earlier scan on NHS as they don't do before 11 weeks so looking into private - any recommendations?

Backhometothenorth · 12/02/2016 12:41

Hi everyone!

Bowser I felt the same as you yesterday - 10 weeks and convinced myself that things were going wrong again (2 previous MMC's) so....

I called local Baby Bond ultrasound direct and got a private early scan yesterday afternoon. I am soooo happy I did - I saw our little one bouncing about with strong heartbeat and measuring 10 plus 2. Cried my eyes out and so did my partner!! Still early days but such a relief that it's so far so good.

MimiDoddrioni · 12/02/2016 12:47

Hi everyone, thanks for your kind words. Got my ERPC booked in for Monday morning and have confirmation that the tissue will be tested and I'll be referred back to the RMC for genetic testing.

Jay I agree with everyone else, get yourself seen at the EPAU. Hopefully it's nothing but you'll drive yourself crazy worrying about it otherwise.

Backhometothenorth · 12/02/2016 12:54

Mimi- hope everything goes ok on Monday and with your referral to RMC Flowers

keys27 · 12/02/2016 15:08

mini extra big hugs hun your so strong. Really hope to see you back in the spring.

I will reply to posts this evening. However need some advice if possible. I've felt OK today see baby everything us good however my blood pressure was 141/78 it's never been that high. He didn't seem concerned. Within the past hour my chest has tighten and I feel so unwell never suffered from anxiety before and there no reason why I should have it now. I've just booked in to see my dr at 4.10. Just want to know if anyone knows if my blood pressure is ok xx

JayBeanie · 12/02/2016 16:51

Hi All, thanks for your support, your lovely messages made me well up (slightly over emotional today) I saw the dr this morning and she referred me to the epu (i knew from last time they wouldn't see me without a referral) I have a scan booked in for tomorrow so keeping everything crossed to see a heartbeat!
I've been having regular acupuncture and managed to squeeze in an emergency appointment today, the lovely lady I see said it can help if my pregnancy is on the edge. Not sure how much I believe today but I do know that's she's done amazing things for me over the last year and I believe that she is part of the reason I'm pregnant at all.

Keys- sorry I have absolutely no idea about blood pressure, hope somebody else can help v soon and dr sets your mind at rest

Lovely to hear about good news scans :-) I need good news today so keep it coming Grin

Crumbles12 · 12/02/2016 18:29

keys your blood pressure seems high but not high enough to be an 'emergency' If that makes sense.. My maternity notes have a section for them to monitor blood pressure and the 147 isn't too much higher than their 'average' and 78 in range, it says at the bottom of the page if systolic is between 140-150 to recheck BP in a week x

sundayraspberry · 12/02/2016 18:47

Great that your cleared for vbac cuppa hope you can relax a bit more now you know, especially also as DS is on the mend. Good news all round!

Such a good feeling to have a good scan congratulations crumbles Smile

I agree with crumbles about your bp keys. It very much depends on what it is normally but 141/78 isn't bad at all, what did gp say? Ps I love the spelling mistakes especially "nebulous congratulations" Grin my phone always corrects eastend to EastEnders!

Hope tomorrow goes OK jay and I'm impressed with your drs for getting you referred and booked for a scan quickly x

JayBeanie · 13/02/2016 13:27

Hi everyone, hope you are enjoying the weekend...
So I had a scan this morning and everything is absolutely fine, measurements are spot on the 8 weeks I expected and there was a clear heartbeatSmile Such a relief!! They couldn't see where the bleeding had come from so there is a chance it could happen again but fingers crossed it won't. It's been a hard few days but I appreciate all your support massively!!xx

Lilliana · 13/02/2016 14:37

Great to see such good news going around this thread at the moment! Really pleased for everyone.
Hope everyone is feeling ok. I've just got home from taking DD to a birthday party at soft play hell. Wasn't too bad and I'm now praying she may sleep for a bit so I can too

chandelierswinging · 13/02/2016 14:57

Cuppa So sorry to hear your DS has been so poorly, but great that he's now on the mend. Whoop whoop for your VBAC go-ahead! Am v jealous!! Hope your cons appt goes well.

Lilliana I love soft play now my DCs are old enough to go off and play together whilst I sit with a cuppa and a good book Have to say I'm dreading doing it all over again but hoping that the keen older siblings who love it so much themselves will help me out there!! Look after yourself Flowers

Jay That's great news, and hopefully reassures you for a bit.

Sunday No news on my scan still... although mw did text me back... with a kiss Shock to say she's chasing it up. How are you doing?

Keys Sorry to hear that your BP worried you and you then felt ill. Did the GP shed any light? Yours isn't high per se, but if you feel unwell, seeking advice is always a good idea. My BP is currently about 10-15 lower, on both measurements, than I "normally" am, which surprised me, but the mw wasn't bothered as it was in normal limits.

Mimi Good luck for Monday Flowers Although it's obviously very sad that you're in this position again, I'm pleased to see that you are now being referred and you will hopefully get some answers, or at the very least some support and a plan for the future.

Backhome and Crumbles Great news about your scans! Smile

Welcome to all newbies! < Budges up on bench and offers round boiled sweets and salt and vinegar square crisps>

Sounds like there's a few of us finally heading towards the end of the incredibly stressful first trimester! Looking forward to making way for more newbies and moving off this fretting bench and on to the next!! Wink

LynseyH5 · 13/02/2016 15:34

Hi all. I hope you don't mind me joining in your conversation. I'm driving myself insane and need to let it out... last year I was overjoyed to find out we were expecting baby number 4. At 11 wks, I had mild cramps and spotting...4 days later I finally had a scan and was told I'd had a blighted ovum. Davasted doesn't come close. I took some time out and now I am pregnant again. 6+3 wks. But I have started noticing stringy red/brown discharge again and have cramps ever since I found out 2 weeks ago... it feels like it's happening again :-( I have booked an early scan privately as epu won't even consider seeing me but my appt isn't until Wednesday and I feel like I'm going insane. Can anyone offer any advice? Has anyone ever had the same symptoms as a previous mc but gone on to have a healthy baby? I'm trying to prepare myself for bad news now :'( sorry for the long post and again for just landing on you all xx

Eastend2015 · 13/02/2016 23:57

Hi all, great to hear good news Backhome and Crumbles!

Lynsey, sorry to hear that you are going through this and your previous loss. According to the miscarriage association, it is estimated 50% of women have bleeding in early pregnancy and approximately 50% of those go on to have a miscarriage. I think that those statistics are pretty reasuring- bleeding in early pregnancy is incredibly common and there is a good outcome in half those cases. Hang on in there little bean!

LynseyH5 · 14/02/2016 08:05

Eastend, thank you for your response. I know statistically the chances are good but I just can't help think the only time I've had this is when it was a bad outcome. I have barely any symptoms either, just occasionally my boobs hurt... and I've never had sore boobs in any previous pregnancy! Told you I'm driving myself mad! I'm trying my best to remain positive and right now I feel good, but then I have a wave of emotion and want to cry again. Also, I keep having this crazy feeling of strong palpitations and blood rushing around my head. I want to sleep until Wednesday! Xx
