Nousername2015 · 02/11/2015 15:11

Lovely pics paws, that's wonderful news and happy birthday!! GrinCake

Metalhead · 02/11/2015 15:22

Congratulations allmy, what a lovely birthday present!

I'm 35 weeks today and enjoying my first 'proper' day of maternity leave. Had been feeling under the weather since I stopped working last week and had DD1 to look after, but she was back at school today so I've spent the entire day lying on the sofa recuperating and catching up on recorded telly! Tomorrow I'll start getting baby things ready...

Congratulations paws!

DisneyMillie · 02/11/2015 16:24

Wonderful wonderful news paws - I'm so pleased for you Smile

I haven't been on in a while - I'm 12 weeks this week and scan is next week - so nervous after a 9 week scan (had a tiny bit of brown discharge) said it was all over (luckily they were wrong and just missed the baby at the back Confused)

I'm so paranoid it will be bad news or the combined test results won't be good - there's always something to worry about isn't there!!

mrsdiddlydoo · 02/11/2015 16:25

Grin paws made up for you x

BumbleBee0 · 02/11/2015 18:12

Wonderful news paws Grin Bonus to be bumped forward too!

Glad you're enjoying mat leave metal and you've had chance to recuperate today.

disney what an awful mistake for the sonographer to make, thank goodness they soon realised their error, must have been terrifying for you. X

dobbythedoggy · 02/11/2015 18:20

Congratulations on the good scan paws and happy birthday too, a very good birthday present.

diseny hope your scan goes well next week.

Scan day for me again tomorrow. Second attempt to get 20 week scan measurements. Nan died on friday afternoon, sad but a blessed relief from her suffering, so took me right out of my head space of worrying about everything, pregnancy related for a few days. Especailly worrying about waiting for tomorrow.

Now it seems to have sprung up on me! Have had movement low down and around high up the last couple of days so wondering if he might be head down as dd never was and I never felt movement in those areas with her. Swinging between being really excited about seeing where he is and wondering if it will just be something else to fret over if he is in that position.

mrsdiddlydoo · 02/11/2015 21:55

dobby Flowers sorry about your nan but it sounds like you're at peace with it. Baby's still got plenty of time to move if it us the wrong way round. I've had loads more movements this time but did have a posterior placenta with DS. Let us know how it goes tomorrow.

And I was clearly so excited about your scan news paws that I've ignored the fact it's your birthday too!! CakeCake hope you're having a good evening!

Topsy34 · 02/11/2015 22:28

Not been on this thread for ages...sorry

I'm 38 weeks tomorrow ?? I can't believe im this close!!

Topsy34 · 02/11/2015 22:28

Oops was meant to be !! Not ??

DisneyMillie · 03/11/2015 10:33

Hope the scan goes well dobby and congrats on being so close to the finish line topsy

I'm sooooo nervous today - my scan is now tonight instead of next week!! I has called about getting a harmony test (they do them at my local hospital privately) and they can do it tonight and will scan at the same time. I'm never going to get any work done today now!!

dobbythedoggy · 03/11/2015 15:28

Scan went really well. Bump showed off his bits again and then wriggled around enough to give alll the measurements they missed last time. Placenta is currently low lying which reassuringly seems to explain why I had some spotting early on. The sonograph throught it was on the move anyway as it looked higher than the last scan but she wasn't able to get measuments previously so couldn't legtimently compare it.

diseny hope the scan goes really smoothly and you have someone lovely and reassuring doing it. It made all the diffrance to me at the 12 week scan that the man doing it was very kind and explained everything in detail. First thing he did was point out the strong heartbeat as he could tell I was so nervous.

Nousername2015 · 03/11/2015 20:36

Hope all has gone well tonight disney

topsy 38 weeks - congratulations! Please say the hospital bag is packed??!

Marchgirl · 03/11/2015 20:52

Congrats on the scans dobby and paws, and happy birthday too

Hope the scan goes well disney

DisneyMillie · 04/11/2015 08:58

Congrats on the good scan
dobby - halfway there!!

My scan last night went great Smile. Instantly saw a very wriggly baby so no worry about heartbeat!! Was very cute watching it move around. They measured the NT thing too even though I am doing harmony and that was 1.5mm so I think that's good. Am feeling cautiously optimistic - although Google is still my enemy!! Should get results next week (they process in london now)

Just to reassure anyone not as far on who might be worrying about symptoms. I've had no sore boobs and only sporadic sickness that pretty much stopped a couple of weeks ago and baby is doing fine so symptoms obviously mean nothing with me.

Marchgirl · 04/11/2015 11:34

Great news disney Grin

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 04/11/2015 12:24

Thanks everyone for your congratulations and birthdays wishes! Very kind of you all Smile
Congrats to disney & dobby for your good scan news, lovely to see such wonderful news! X

MotherOfCats · 04/11/2015 15:36

Hi everyone
Not been on for a couple of weeks as I've been unwell with a chest infection but great to hear everyone is doing well. Paws so pleased your scan went well :)
After a successful 10 week scan, I'm back for the 12 week scan on Friday afternoon. For a short while after seeing my healthy baby on the screen wriggling I felt some relief and contentment but I'm now back to writing myself stupid and having horrible nightmares about miscarrying again. I keep waking up convinced I'll be in a pool of blood - it's horrible. What's making it worse is that my symptoms have definitely eased off in the last few days. The nausea is much better, as are the sore boobs, and I've even stopped falling asleep at 8.30pm every night. Of course this is making me worry even more that they'll tell me on Friday that I've had another MMC. The symptoms are still there but they're definitely not as strong - is this normal? I had such bad sickness throughout my pregnancy with DD, I don't know if this is to be expected or something to worry about. The only saving grace is that I've had no bleeding and my waist line has definitely expanded - not something I'd normally be pleased about!
With my MMC in May, I started bleeding the night before my 12 week scan (even though the scan showed baby had died at 9 weeks) so I imagine the next few days are going to be hell :(

Nousername2015 · 04/11/2015 18:30

mother I was the same, started spotting at 11+5, scan was supposed to be at 12+0. This time around I was pretty much hysterical the night before but strangely calm going in. All was fine. I can't suggest anything to make it better but I can hand hold. Symptoms, however much they have faded, are still a good sign and it's around the time for then to go now anyway. Hope you manage to relax a bit this evening Flowers

Marchgirl · 04/11/2015 20:21

Try not too worry about the symptoms going mother. I was exactly the same as you. I had hyperemesis with dd and also with the pg that turned into mc1, so expected the same this time. I found it very worrying that my sickness wasn't nearly as bad (just constant nausea with occasional puking this time), and almost stopped around 10/11 weeks. I was really worried something was wrong. But it's all ok. Had 20 week scan yesterday and confirmed my suspicion that it's a boy, so for me it was true that you are less sick with boys. Maybe that's what it is for you too! It's really hard to relax after mc, but I've felt a little more hopeful after each scan, and particularly after yesterday as I know there are no major issues. Hopefully you will feel the same as time goes by. Good luck for Friday x

CottonSock · 05/11/2015 07:54

6 week scan today. Slight anxiety and I know it won't give complete piece of mind anyway. One day at a time I guess. Great news on other scans xx

Marchgirl · 05/11/2015 10:12

Good luck cotton x
