Mimi- I'm so sorry to hear your news. What a horrible wait you have (been there, have lots of sympathy) I really hope everything turns out ok x

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 01/02/2016 20:57

mimi so sorry hun, I know that wait only too well...it took from weeks 6-11 for them to diagnose mmc, I did manage to grow a 4mm pole at one point around 9 weeks, but it disappeared by the next (and final) scan at 11 weeks (by which point I had started bleeding) Sad
Its not nice being stuck in such limbo, especially when the sac still grows (mine did)
But I guess you have a small silver lining, your tilted uterus! I really hope you get good news at the next scan hun, there's always the odd pregnancy that surprises everyone...have heard of many women who see nothing for weeks then at their last 'determination' scan, there's little bean! Best of luck, and my sympathies and empathy's to you hunny xxx Flowers

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 01/02/2016 21:05

east lovely pic! Congratulations Grin x

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 01/02/2016 21:09

keys...wow two premmies! You brave lady! Doc was lovely today, she thinks its my spd pains being so bad causing all the bh...I'm keeping an eye on them, should they become painfull and develop a pattern, or I leak any fluid etc, then I'll go and get checked out by a midwife asap. Spd was horrendous last night, collapsed on kitchen floor and couldn't move! So makes sense all the pain could have aggravated my uterus Confused
Taking it easy today x

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 01/02/2016 21:13

crumbles sorry to hear about your worries, I think what others have said and shared is very reassuring. At least you were prepared for it, although I'm not doubting for one minute that it's not tough to go through Flowers
Fc its easy going and quickly gets back on track for you x

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 01/02/2016 21:17

sunday just don't overdo it with regards to manual handling etc, look after your back, and start doing regular pelvic floor exercises 'now' so that you can minimise the risks of possible spd/pgp developing Smile x

sundayraspberry · 01/02/2016 22:04

I'm sorry things aren't going as planned Mimi. Really feel for you having to go through another 10 day wait xx

paws that pain sounds terrible, you have given me motivation to be good and do my pelvic floor exercises today even though it feels like homework

Take care crumbles and I hope it doesn't last long.

Lovely scan pic eastend!

Eastend2015 · 02/02/2016 09:00

Thanks for all the congratulations! Staying team yellow. Can't believe this might actually happen!

How is everyone doing today? Sending big hugs and positive vibes to the thread!

chandelierswinging · 02/02/2016 13:37

So, I saw my consultant this morning (at almost 10wks), who was utterly lovely (as always). He had to do a TV scan (never pleasant, but always necessary with me!) and found ^^^ this funny little thing bobbing about in my dodgy shaped/positioned uterus!! Then he turned up the volume so I could hear the heartbeat and I burst in to tears! Such a relief. Still have the next hurdle to get through now (12 weeks scan) and those that follow (bloods/anomaly scan) but, for now, I'm beginning to believe that this might actually happen.

Have had to make another appt. with the GP though as the anti-emetics have stopped doing their job and I almost fainted and vommed in the hospital Blush Thankfully the midwives were utterly lovely and came up my rescue, plus a couple of swigs of lucozade have helped immensely.

Hand holding to all those needing it today Flowers

Eastend2015 · 02/02/2016 14:11

Hooray Chandelier! So pleased for you and breaking out the tickertape parade!! Yours odds are looking pretty good now. I totally understand wanting to burst into tears, the heartbeat gets me every time! Xxx

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 02/02/2016 19:16

Yay chandelier! Grin I have to have a tv ultrasound every time in epu too...and after a total of 9 scans and two miscarriages that never produced a hb, during this pregnancy's tv ultrasound at 6 weeks...when they said "here it is, and there's the hb" I jolted up shouting "really?" Burst into tears on the spot, cried all the way home whilst unbelievably starring at little bean's picture Grin
HUGE congratulations x

Physio today, severe spd confirmed, crutches given (fell to the floor last night, it was like somone had shoved glass in-between my pubic bone) crutches definitely helping take the weight off which should hopefully help to reduce pain...co-codamol 4x daily, doc said it won't affect baby, just might make him a little sleepy at the birth. Relieved, as I've held off taking strong pain relief incase baby could be born addicted or something, but doctors don't seem to think so Smile

Eastend2015 · 02/02/2016 19:35

Great news that you are getting some help Paws! Hopefully OH will be a bit more supportive now! X

chandelierswinging · 02/02/2016 19:58

Thank you for your good wishes lovelies Flowers

Paws I took co-codamol regularly in my first and second pregnancies. A couple of things: they build up for pain relief, so take regularly rather than sporadically; codeine can make you drowsy... and constipated; you can wean yourself off of a couple of weeks before birth to avoid that sleepy baby thing you've been warned about. I did it successfully twice before d-day. And I went in to hospital on crutches but walked out after having turn birth, so there is hope! I might have mentioned this already, but have a look at the Pelvic Partnership site; loads of helpful suggestions. Feel free to PM me if you want any more rambling "tips"!!. UnMNetty hugs Flowers

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 02/02/2016 20:16

Thanks guys, dh came with me so I think is a little more 'believing' of the condition and pain now!
I'll have a look at that website, and good to know I can wean off the meds as d day approaches Smile

Thanks for being so lovely everyone xxx

Lilliana · 02/02/2016 23:17

Such great news chandelier I'm so pleased for you.

Also great that your getting help allmy I really hope it helps and your DH is feeling bad about his behaviour.

Still waiting here. My lovely friend has been coaching me to be more assertive about what I need in this pregnancy so I'm going to ask for an early scan when I book in (if I get that far). I'm hoping they will be sympathetic but who knows. I just don't think I can wait another 5+ weeks to see if everything is ok. God it is so much harder this time round.

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 03/02/2016 13:14

I would have thought they would offer you an early scan lilliana? After two mc's they should want to do one anyway, they did with me...make sure you're politely assertive and push for one x

keys27 · 03/02/2016 14:23

Congratulations on your scan chandelier just perfect :). Mine was also done by a tv heard hb and everything it's so amazing especially when you've been through such heartache in the past. Do you have a date for your datng scan?

paws oh Hun that's sounds agonising. I Remember with DD1 having back pain and they gave me co codimol from 26 weeks apart from being prem she was fine it had nothing to do with her being prem that's due to a weak cervix. Made me very constipated though had to take a safe laxative with it so just make sure your going regularly cause straining could make it more painful for you. Sorry for tmi there. chandelier as well I dunno how you guys coped with that it sounds awful. Do guys know what causes it? I've never heard of it before.

lillianna I would of also thought they would of offered you one by now as well even with one mc they offered me scan in EPU before. I am sure they will let you have one. When is your booking in date? I've found these last two weeks fly by. When you get to 7-8 weeks it does still feel like forever until your dating scan I found out 2 weeks before xmas and it has dragged but when I hit 10 weeks it seems to have gone quickly. You never stop worrying but the first trimester is awful because you can't feel movements you have no idea if things ok I wish I had one of them to scans at home I'd be constantly on it lol.

It's my scan on Monday I'm so nervous as I've been cramping a lot but no bleeding. It was this time at 11-12 weeks I had my mc even after seeing baby with a healthy heartbeat so I'm very anxious. It feels weird it will be a tummy scan now after having so many of the other ones and hopefully see my baby in its full form. Other than that it's life as normal.

Hope everyone else is all ok xxx

sundayraspberry · 03/02/2016 15:36

Fab scan pic chandelier! Will be amazing to see how much it changes in 2 weeks and to hopefully graduate to a grown-up trans abdominal scan Grin

liliana have you arranged a booking in app yet? Think I went at about 6 weeks this time and was good to get 'on the system' early. Never got offered an early scan but I've only had 1 mc.

Monday will come round quickly keys, then you'll be anxious for your 20 wk scan to hurry up, believe me!

Heard the heartbeat today at my 16 wk mw appointment, which I wasn't expecting, so was really lovely. Waiting to feel the first movements now as I think that'll be the next milestone to reach Grin

keys27 · 03/02/2016 16:09

Ahhhh sunday how amazing you heard LO's heartbeat I bet you got all teary. I'm so pleased for you.
You defiantly starts feeling flutters within the next few weeks I can not wait until I feel my first flutters.
I know my 20 week scan seems so far away. Are you going to find out what your having?

chandelierswinging · 03/02/2016 17:25

Yay sunday, that's soooo cool!! (And very reassuring) I felt youngest flutter around 15/16 weeks, but oldest not until about 24 weeks (due to postioning and scar tissue) so don't panic if it's not immediately forthcoming.

Ha ha re. grown up scan!! I've prepped myself for another tv scan at 12 weeks or whenever... Nope Keys still don't have an appt through, grr as my uterus is 180degrees retroverted and probably won't have moved up far enough by then (it's tucked behind my bowel!) Consultant had to press on my belly even with a tv scan! Shock That said, if it's a "normal" abdo scan, I'll be over the moon!!!!! I've become a bit blasé about the dildocam now, so it'll be a novelty to be asked to keep my knicks on!!! Grin

Keys Hope the rest of the week goes quickly for you. Flowers

Paws How are you doing today? Hope the stronger painkillers are helping. SPD/PGP is a bastard.

I've had to hide the AN club thread I had joined Sad Some ladies are finding out whether they are team pink/blue (either through harmony test or early gender scans) and I'm struggling with some of the posts that then discuss gender disappointment. I know it's my issue, not theirs, but I find it a challenge when the end goal is simply a healthy baby. I'm sure I'll get past this, but it made me feel awful having that strong a reaction.

sundayraspberry · 03/02/2016 17:51

Wtf chandelier! Your uterus is behind your bowel?! I'm impressed, I know my anatomy well and I've never seen this before. Is it retroverted to one side and round the bowel? Tell me to mind my own business if I'm being too nosey!

Was cool to hear the heartbeat and very reassuring seeing as its sooooo long between scans. Definitely waiting until birth to find out gender, I think having mc'd takes away some of the excitement of pregnancy so I think a surprise will keep some excitement there. I like the idea that our baby has a secret from us! Find it strange that loads of people pay privately at 16 wk for a 'gender scan' esp seeing as most hospitals can tell you at 20wk anomaly scan. That said, I do have a preference but I'm not exactly gonna be bothered if its the other. Some friends are due vv close to us and they already know they're having a girl, but now it's on fb and everyone knows. Also a bonus if people buy gender neutral gifts in my opinion but everyone feels differently and I can see why it can be a good idea to find out the gender if you already have children.

chandelierswinging · 03/02/2016 18:10

Don't read whilst eating!! ha ha!

Not nosey at all Sunday! I'm fascinated by it. My consultant drew me a diagram to explain- it's because of severe scarring from previous c-sections and related surgeries- but I'm not sure whether it's one sided or not. It's "dropped" down?!?! What should be the bottom of the uterus is actually the top, where it's flipped 180deg. My cervix is in a dodgy position too! Pulled and misshapen due to scarring. Cons was impressed I got pregnant at all!! Grin It was discovered when I had surgical management for a mmc last year; they went "in and up" but tore the uteruine wall as they needed to go "in, round and down", we later discovered. I ended up having the procedure again, once they'd found the problem, under rectal ultrasound Blush

I'm being monitored this time round all being well to check that the uterus moves up okay and to check the postioning of the placenta too. It probably goes without saying that I'm having to have a planned c-section! I'm not allowed to labour due to the instability of the uterus and the postioning of the cervix. Got to get there first though...

Bowserlovesmojitos · 03/02/2016 18:45

Can I get back on the fretting bench please provisionally?
Was pretty much certain things had ended for me as all typical mc signs inc huge clots/bleeding and loss of symptoms, however as it was so ongoing my GP sent me for a scan to check in case it was incomplete - literally 2 seconds in the sonograhper turned the screen around to show me healthy lo of 7 weeks with hb!
General thinking is I lost a second baby and there is now a huge haematoma? in my womb that could threaten this one but they are hanging in there for now!
Anyone have any experience of similar? I've spent the past 2 weeks grieving and am now delirious with this news but so worried as well - mc is still high risk and i'm waiting for the 12 week scan.....5 weeks will go so slowly.

Sophia1984 · 03/02/2016 18:52

Brilliant news Bowser Sending you lots of positive thoughts x

Lilliana · 03/02/2016 19:02

Shock chandelier that's quite impressive! I know what you mean about the gender obsessives. After this year I'm not counting any babies until this one is safely in my arms. I truly don't care what it is as long as it gets here ok. I so remember how naive I was in my first pregnancy though so trying to remember that when I read some posts on my other thread. However I'm also trying not to be too negative there and scare everyone else!!

How are you today paws? Hope you're doing ok.

sunday great news about the hb.
