Good luck cotton.

DisneyMillie · 05/11/2015 12:22

Good luck cotton

CottonSock · 05/11/2015 13:03

Thanks, there was a heart beat and bean measuring OK (a bit small but she measured again and went up a bit). Got to see the consultant she said its the hb that's important not size. There is a little blood visible so I hope I don't get spotting. This means I'm past the stage of 3 of my mc, but had one later so cautious optimism :) but somehow can't jump for joy

cloudjumper · 05/11/2015 13:20

That is really good news cotton! Remember, that with every positive scan, your chances for a good outcome are increasing! Fingers crossed it continues like this.

mother Symptoms in the first trimester come and go, try not to worry (easier said than done, I know!).

We had a lovely week off for half term last week, including a long weekend in Somerset to visit DH's cousin. But I definitely noticed that I need to slow down, can't keep ploughing on like before...

I have a GP appointment today to see if I can get something for my constipation - I have now tried every natural remedy under the sun, but nothing seems to be working. I spent 1 hour (!) on the loo on Monday in absolute agony, thinking I'll pass out from the pain, as things got well and truly stuck. Then nearly blocked the toilet Blush Took me until yesterday to recover from this, and now I am actually scared of going to the toilet! Really hoping that the GP will take pity and let me have something with a bit more clout.

32 weeks tomorrow - think I should start thinking about packing my hospital bag, eeek! Seems to unnecessary, since I am almost certain I'll go for the ELCS, but things could still happen normally. Need to get the baby stuff out of the loft and the cupboard under the stairs. And DH needs to stop drinking, so that he can drive me to hospital, if need be...

Metalhead · 05/11/2015 15:17

Lovely to hear all the good scan news ladies! Smile

cloud I feel your pain, I too am constantly battling constipation and piles... it seems to get to the point where I think, ok I need to go to the GP and ask for help, and then it gets a bit better again for a while, so I've never actually been to see him. Let me know if yours can recommend any magic remedies!

As for hospital bag, I've mostly packed mine (I'm 35+3 today) even though I'm also having an Elcs, but you just never know. Apparently around 10% of ladies go into labour before their Elcs date so it's better to be prepared!

Great scan news ladies!

Had another today myself and placenta is still low and overlapping OS. Got to wait a week to see what happens next.

34 wks today...

Tootle10 · 05/11/2015 19:28

I haven't been on for ages, but just wanted to check in and say congrats to all those with good scan news! I'm 30+4 now and all seems to be going well. Can't believe how fast the time is whizzing around now

Marchgirl · 06/11/2015 06:15

Good scan news cotton. I know hope hard it is to be optimistic, but it's a really good start

cloudjumper · 06/11/2015 09:18

mrsD Bummer about your placenta! Will you be having weekly scans now to check what's happening? Are you booked in for a tentative ELCS?

metal I was like you - couldn't be bothered to see the GP about my constipation because I was having good and bad episodes. However, the Monday one made me change my mind! I can report that the GP was very understanding, and I am now properly stocked up on laxative drugs - sachets, senna tablets and glycerine suppositories Wink He also advised to continue the diet with prunes, apricots, kiwis, lots of fluids etc. I am optimistic!

Hi tootle How are you? Not long now...

I'm 32 weeks today, feeling really tired. Could not get comfortable last night, tossing and turning at 4am Confused Fortunately, DH is now back home and can help with DS and the chores! Would love to just sleep all weekend, but we have friends coming to visit, sigh. The plan is to go and see the bonfire/fireworks in our village tomorrow night, but I might bail out and stay at home - really don't fancy walking to the other end of our village (which is a bit pathetic, considering it's only about a mile or so!). But I'm soooo tired... Four more weeks left at work...

mrsdiddlydoo · 06/11/2015 13:20

cloud see my consultant next week and when I last saw them they suggested I'd be booked in for a section if it hasn't moved. I kind of assume that's what will happen. I've been booked in for another scan at 38 wks just as procedure. Saw my mw this morning, very lovely, very experienced, and she it won't move now so I should prepare myself for a section. The more people tell me I'll need one the more I am getting use to the idea, but it has been a bit of a rollercoaster to get use to the idea. I'm grateful for getting this far and use to things never going to plan so I'm sure there will be more to worry about over the coming weeks. Hope you manage to take it easy at some point this weekend. Not to rub it in (much anyway!) But I've a week left at work!!! Smile cannot wait!! So blumming knackered...

Waves Tootle 30 wks!! That's brilliant!

Nousername2015 · 06/11/2015 17:23

metal and cloud, I'm in your club unfortunately. Apricots are being devoured by the bucket load here, will resort to prunes if it gets that bad.

29+2 here, officially 3rd tri by all of the books and websites! Never thought I'd get here. tootle, I'm jealous of your 30 weeks, it's another milestone for me.

mrsd 1 week at work, how exciting! I'll keep my fingers crossed that placenta shifts. I'm in a not too dissimilar position to you regarding delivery. A growth scan showed I'm incubating a 95th centile monster so I've got an appointment in a few weeks to monitor and discuss induction/elcs if needs be. The more I think about it the more I'm on board with either of those options really.

Lovely scan news cotton, seeing a hb in a huge step forward.

And it's finally the weekend!!

MotherOfCats · 06/11/2015 17:44

Had my scan today and it was all fine! One very active baby with a strong heartbeat and I'm further along than I thought - due 16th May. I am beyond relieved - finally feel like I am having a baby!

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 06/11/2015 18:20

Massive congratulations to everyone who had good news scans!!! Grin
cotton...at my early scan I had a small bleed visible, was told not to worry if I had any spotting etc, never had any though so try not to worry, you may not spot at all! X

Massive sympathies going out to you ladies with a bunged up bum Sad
My doctors gave me movical sachets...other similar brands are laxido etc....pregnancy safe obviously, they work by 'adding' water and fluids to the stool itself which makes transit easier and softer. I find prevention is better than treatment, I just take two sachets every other/few days...seems to do the job! Wink

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 06/11/2015 18:34

Can't believe it, started spotting! It's brown, is this normal??? I'm 14 weeks tomorrow Sad
Really couldn't go through that a 3rd time...not after happy scan only Monday...

cloudjumper · 06/11/2015 18:40

Paws How rubbish about the spotting! Have you spoken to your midwife? Brown is always better than red, means it's old blood and hopefully not serious. It's not fair, just when you think you're out of the danger zone. Sending hugs xx

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 06/11/2015 20:34

Thanks cloud Not had a chance to speak to midwife yet, only started this evening so will phone tomorrow...the worry just never stops does it x

Nousername2015 · 06/11/2015 21:24

Thinking of you paws, there's so many reasons for spotting that aren't the worst but it's so hard not to think that way. Hope you manage to speak to your mw soon, you could also call 111 who may arrange an out of hours appointment for you.

Marchgirl · 07/11/2015 10:23

So sorry to hear you are spotting paws. The worry really never stops does it. Hoping it's just a little bit of old blood making its way out. Hand holding

Great scan news mother Grin

Allmychildrenhavepaws · 07/11/2015 11:54

Thank you nouser & march x
Had some pain today, like spasms, called 111 for out of hours gp appointment at 2pm, hoping they will just reassure me its normal and check heartbeat.
Will let you guys know what they say...14 weeks is quite far to get to, I'm sure its gonna be ok x

dobbythedoggy · 07/11/2015 12:26

Everything crossed for you paws. Hope everyting's ok.

MotherOfCats · 07/11/2015 12:54

Hope you're ok Paws - sending you all my positive thoughts xx

Nousername2015 · 07/11/2015 13:18

Thinking of you paws, keeping everything crossed that all is ok.

Metalhead · 07/11/2015 13:34

Good luck with your appointment paws, hopefully they will be able to reassure you that all is fine.

Thanks guys, just got out of hospital after 4 hour wait! They didn't seem too concerned which was good, the gyne was really lovely, having a scan tomorrow as she said that, although things look good she couldn't rule out mc completely. Will let you all know how the scan goes tomorrow...thank you all again for the well wishes x

mrsdiddlydoo · 07/11/2015 19:56

Glad you're going back tomorrow for a scan paws. Thinking of you xx
