40 weeks today (but due to being pregnant immediately following a MC I've been pregnant 11 months bar a brief 2 week interlude) and massively fed up. It's strange because I definitely did not feel like this with DC1?!

Didn't feel like getting out of bed today (or all of last week...) just want to hibernate til the baby makes an appearance.

My DM and friends keep trying to get me to go out for coffee, lunch etc but the thought of being sociable fills me with dread Sad

The constant barrage of 'anything?' texts is driving me crazy and my DP is pissing me off just by breathingHmm.

I know I am being totally unreasonable, but please tell me I'm not the only one feeling like this! Don't get me wrong, I am not depressed and I love my DP and can't wait for our baby to come but I am soooooh over being pregnant!

Come and hold my hand, please!! Grin

starfish, that's great news! congratulations - lovely name too. Shock at the weight - well done you! You give me hope that even if it doesn't happen soon it can still happen before induction Smile

Purpleboa · 20/06/2015 17:58

Thrilled for you Stardust on Jesse's arrival! Hope you're both doing well. Jealous but in the nicest way possible, as Guinness Girl says, it gives us all hope! Enjoy the snuggles with your baby xx

Purpleboa · 20/06/2015 18:18

Starfish, sorry!

HelenF350 · 20/06/2015 20:58

Congratulations starfish.

Any news from anyone else? Nothing happening here. Just had a lovely spicy curry in the hope of helping the baby along. Grin

Purpleboa · 20/06/2015 23:30

Nothing doing! Promising cramps that just keep tapering off. Anyone else got more to report?

hullabaloo234 · 20/06/2015 23:43

Congrats starfish! Amazing news!

I went in for monitoring at half 11, they asked me to come back at 2 for induction-pessary in at 4, contracting 5 times in 10 mins by 5.30-waters broke at 8 and gave birth at 8.50!! All crazy quick!
Happy to say my DD2 was born happy and healthy and exactly 9lbs. Me and DP are totally in love xx

nope, nada. I have tonight resolved to stop grumping and being impatient, and instead to try to enjoy each 'bonus' day as much as I can - after all, there could be another week and a half of waiting! Smile

guinnessgirl · 20/06/2015 23:47

X posted, hullabaloo that's great! congratulations, sounds like a good birth Smile enjoy your beautiful new DD!

Congratulations hulla and starfish lovely news! Flowers and Flowers

Purpleboa · 21/06/2015 12:30

Soooo happy for you hulla on the news of your baby girl! So quick too - that sounds like my kind of birth!

Nothing here. Some cramps and baby felt like she was trying to thrash her way out last night, but that's all. Agree with Guinness, might as well stop stressing and just appreciate the last moments of peace!

That said, I am worried I am going to be last on this thread to give birth - kind of like being picked last for the school sports team, ha!

starfish12 · 21/06/2015 13:58

Yay congratulations hull!!!! What a great result, amazingly quick labour and another healthy size!!! Our babies we're born on the same day in the end!! What did you call her?

Doing good thanks - bit battered and bruised from the forceps but otherwise ok!

Come on other babies!!!

rolypolybird84 · 21/06/2015 19:45

Please can I join you? I'm 39+4 so not overdue yet but feeling very weepy and emotional today! No signs of anything. Feel huge. Got sweep on Thursday.

Two people in real life have overtaken me and had their babies even though due after me and to my shame I just feel jealous! Think a lot of it is wrapped up in anxiety over labour just want it over and done with!!!

Alwayswaiting · 21/06/2015 20:33

hulla congratulations, what fantastic news!

Yesterday I had contractions from 8:45pm, started at 10mins apart, they got to 3mins apart and I went to the labour ward.

Examined me... 2cms dilated. Got in the pool, tried to relax, the contractions eased off, so I got out of the pool, stayed upright, contractions kicked in again. At 6am the midwife thought I was getting close to stage 2, examined me, still 2cms. Which was really disheartening as she could see the top of the baby's head, but I just hadn't dilated enough.

I had pethidine, and fell asleep. And everything stopped. Had no contractions since. So I've been discharged home, and told it was probably false labour.

Before I left the midwife did give me a sweep, and I've had some dark brown discharge.

I'm so disappointed to be back home with no baby.

MSMB · 21/06/2015 20:42

Oh alwayswaiting that sounds so frustrating!! Hopefully things will start up for you again very soon. I had false labour 2 weeks ago and it's so disheartening. Before I was pregnant I never knew about this stopping and starting malarkey but it's very annoying!!! Everyone I know seems to have had straight forward labours!!!

guinnessgirl · 21/06/2015 21:19

hello roly! It's hard to see others sail past you, isn't it? There were three other women I know expecting babies within a week of my due date and they've all had their DDs now. I really am happy for them, but it does make the waiting that little bit harder! Hmm

always, that sucks, I'm sorry. You must have been so excited, what a let down. Perhaps it's a sign that your body is gearing up, though? Hugs x

Purpleboa · 22/06/2015 09:09

How upsetting Always. So near and yet not enough. I wasn't aware of false labour and it sounds like it just prolongs the agony of waiting. How are you today?

Woke up today with cramps but deeper than before. Definitely feeling more contraction like and happening around every 10 mins I think. Was eating breakfast and felt a warm gushing - more bloody show, had hoped it might be my waters!

Am at hospital now for a scheduled monitoring check and sweep. I so hope that they confirm I'm going into labour and let me stay. But suspect that won't be the case.

Tell you what, one thing about this overdue business is it makes you really excited and ready for labour to happen!!

Alwayswaiting · 22/06/2015 09:20

Ooooh, good luck purple fingers crossed this is it for you! Keep us updated with what the plan is for you. Hopefully, staying in and having the baby!

Well I had a good sleep last night, and woke up and had bloody show, it was dark brown, and there was quite a bit of it, so fingers crossed, maybe things will happen soon.

guinnessgirl · 22/06/2015 10:15

purpleboa, that sounds promising! Will be keeping an eye out for updates Grin

Purpleboa · 22/06/2015 10:38

Being monitored right now. Midwife agrees it sounds like 'something is happening' but reminded me they need to be closer together before they'll admit me - yeah, yeah.

Definitely is contractions, every 10 mins or so. They don't last long but oh man, they hurt! I'll never complain about period pains again!!

starfish12 · 22/06/2015 11:42

Good luck always and purple.... this is it!!! Wishing you safe and speedy deliveries xx

MSMB · 22/06/2015 12:33

Good luck Purple expect to hear LO had arrived for you soon!!

Advice needed ladies - I had a sweep last Thursday morning first thing (obviously didn't work!) im trying to get another one asap but my midwife only works Thursday-friday. I rang community midwife and she's fully booked- is there any other option? Xxx

Purpleboa · 22/06/2015 12:40

Back from hospital. Had sweep and doc confirmed I am 2cm dilated, that and the painful contractions suggest I am in early labour! But obvs have to be a lot further on before I can go back. So just waiting now! Always, anything happening for you? MSMB not sure sorry, hopefully somebody can help?
