40 weeks today (but due to being pregnant immediately following a MC I've been pregnant 11 months bar a brief 2 week interlude) and massively fed up. It's strange because I definitely did not feel like this with DC1?!

Didn't feel like getting out of bed today (or all of last week...) just want to hibernate til the baby makes an appearance.

My DM and friends keep trying to get me to go out for coffee, lunch etc but the thought of being sociable fills me with dread Sad

The constant barrage of 'anything?' texts is driving me crazy and my DP is pissing me off just by breathingHmm.

I know I am being totally unreasonable, but please tell me I'm not the only one feeling like this! Don't get me wrong, I am not depressed and I love my DP and can't wait for our baby to come but I am soooooh over being pregnant!

Come and hold my hand, please!! Grin

Purple- soooo jealous of the swimming! I can't fit in my maternity costume anymore Sad enjoy it my lovely!

I'm going on a housework binge today and changing the beds etc in anticipation of going into hospital tomorrow Smile Will have to be a take away for dinner to keep everywhere spotless, what a shame Grin

Hoping that this time tomorrow I'll be on my way in!!!

Cramps and period pains are a good sign, think they are your body getting ready to 'open up'. Annoying when they stop tho isn't it... you just want them to get stronger.

Nothing my end, my midwife got me excited after my sweep yesterday. Trouble with me is that the baby's head isn't engaged so it's not like it's pressing down in the right place to bring on labour. Think I'll be seeing this one thru to the bitter end again!

My little boy was up at 5:15am Hmm so I've already been back to bed for a nap. Made dh take the day off today as can't cope with a boisterous toddler all day in this heat!!

Good luck with the washing machine man purple... hahaha does sound dodgy!

starfish12 · 19/06/2015 09:28

Oh you will hull! It's so not long. Don't do yourself in tho cleaning, today could be the last chance you get to relax for a while! We'll all be on the sleep thread next moaning at how tired we are... Grin

hullabaloo234 · 19/06/2015 11:40

When I say binge, it's a very gentle binge Grin bits of cleaning interspersed with sitting with cups of tea and reading mumsnet lol!

The house is actually pretty clean already thanks to my anal armed forces DP so not too bad. Just want it nice and tidy and fresh bed etc to come home to (I hope!) Sun.

How are you getting on purple? Is the repair guy hot?!Grin

Good call on getting DP to have the day off Star! At least I can send my DC to school, would struggle with a toddler feeling this crap. Stay in bed and relax! Smile

Purpleboa · 19/06/2015 11:53

Ha no repair guy same age as my dad! But he did fix our machine so am v grateful - not a good time for a machine to be breaking down!

Have spent the morning in a chores frenzy and now allowing myself a relax. But keep thinking I should be doing as much as I can before baby arrives! House is clean, freezer is crammed full of food and baby stuff is out so I need to chill. Maybe I am nesting? or just really bored

Swimming this afternoon then reading I think. Still low grade period pains, and feel like I need a no. 2 but nothing doing. Trying to be patient but starting to feel a little demented!!

How's everyone else?

hullabaloo234 · 19/06/2015 12:34

Sounds like nesting to me! Keep thinking postive, though demented is a very apt description of how we are all feeling I imagine Confused

TMI alert but just projectile vomited across my kitchen Blush Didn't feel it coming in time to leg it to a bathroom Sad feel absolutely fine now though so god knows what that was about!

So glad the WM is fixed- a new baby without a washing machine would be a disaster!Shock

OP posts:
Purpleboa · 19/06/2015 12:47

Not nice to vomit but I hear that being sick is definitely a sign that labour is imminent?? My mum says she was sick a few times and then I appeared so fingers crossed! Hope you're ok though. How's your appetite?

HelenF350 · 19/06/2015 12:50

Hi all, how is everyone getting on? I've just been to the midwife, disappointed as did not get a sweep. She said I couldn't have one as had one on Monday. Nothing much happening today, no more contractions Hmm

hullabaloo234 · 19/06/2015 12:53

Oh Helen that is rubbish! My MW said she is happy to do one every 2-3 days so I wonder why yours is different?? Let's hope you just go into labour this weekend and don't need it!

I was absolutely starving before I was sick, and feel ok now but my appetite has definitely gone... my DD will get home at half 3, I have an hr with her before she goes away for the weekend with family (perfect timing for my induction!) so don't want anything to happen before 5 lol!

Loiterer · 19/06/2015 13:00

Hi everyone. I'm 39 + 6 today. Absolutely nothing happening. I genuinely can't imagine actually going into labour. Have cleaned, baked, swam.. today I just want to lie down. That's not going to help is it?! Saw midwife on Wednesday, she didn't give me a sweep. Am getting annoyed with people who text/call to find out if anything is happening then ring off when they find out nothing is!

HelenF350 · 19/06/2015 13:11

It wasn't my normal midwife, I'm sure my normal one would have given me a sweep. I'm due at hospital again on Monday so I will get one then but Im still a bit Hmm. Got told to have sex but considering how bad my spd is it's really uncomfortable. Will have to see if we can find a better position.

Hopefully you go into labour before your induction tomorrow. The sickness sounds like a good sign Grin.

hullabaloo234 · 19/06/2015 13:17

try on all fours leaning right down (sorry!), it's the only way I can manage not to scream from SPD/hip pain.... that or leaning over my gym ball Blush

Hello Loiterer! Sorry to hear you are as fed up as the rest of us, you are in good company x

starfish12 · 19/06/2015 13:20

Just going for my 2nd nap of the day. My insides are killing after that sweep yesterday. She almost propelled me thru the wall it was that hard!

Mine said she'd do them every 2 days too helen, mind you I'm not sure I can physically have the one I'm booked for tomorrow!

hull sorry you were sick! How exciting tho if that's a sign. Sod's law will mean that something starts at 3:31pm today...

Welcome loiterer, don't worry you are in good company. Sounds like you are well prepared at least! Most babies are late remember so just try and hang in there. He/she will be here before you know it x

hullabaloo234 · 19/06/2015 13:24

Ahhh star, bed sounds like a good plan. Shane it's so bloody muggy or a hot bath would have been perfect!

Feel a little bit queasy now bitbut not sure if it's sick queasy or need to eat something queasy. DP will be home from work soon so will maybe try a sandwich or something when he gets in - too lazy to make it!

Try and have the sweep if you can, even if you just find out if you've made any progress and don't get the sweep bit done. It might be good news!Smile

Helen- try and book an appt with your regular MW on Monday for a sweep then?

Alwayswaiting · 19/06/2015 14:28

Hi all, been loitering on the thread but not posted. Am 39+3, am desperate for the baby to come now!

I did have early signs of labour 2 weeks ago, according to my MW, regular BH, loose bowels, lower back pain. Then my toddler caught a virus, which I thought was meningitis at the time (but it wasn't thank goodness) and that was it, all signs of early labour stopped. And haven't restarted.

Been on mat leave for 3 weeks now, and am starting to get a bit bored.... House is clean, freezer is full, all little jobs done. I don't know what to do with myself!!

Been having BH regularly today, but not getting the feeling he's coming anytime soon. And my sister is due over from Australia 2 days after his due date... I feel under pressure to get him out so he's here for when she gets back to the UK!!

Loiterer · 19/06/2015 14:59

I just never imagined the baby being late! I feel further from giving birth today then I did about a month ago!

I think sweep definitely worth having, any poking around down there is bound to help surely?

I've been sat in the bath for almost two hours reading and singing to the baby. Might go and clean the oven now... Sorry to hear you too are feeling fed up Always Flowers

guinnessgirl · 19/06/2015 15:24

Hello always and loiterer! Here's hoping, in the nicest possible way, that you don't spend too long on this thread.

Still no news for me. Slight crampy period pains but that's it. I can actually feel baby's head pushing down on my cervix - am willing him to push a little harder! 40+2 now, and the texts/messages have started... 'any news yet?' Hmm

hullabaloo234 · 19/06/2015 15:24

Welcome Always! You are in good company, lots of bored fed up women here Grin

Loiterer-it's so common for first DC's to be late, as frustrating as it is! you just need to try and hang in there. Have you a sweep booked for next week?

OP posts:
Loiterer · 19/06/2015 17:05

Hello, no she didn't mention a sweep. Should I ask for one??

HelenF350 · 19/06/2015 18:21

I have the hospital on Monday anyway so will get a sweep then and see what happens. Been getting a lot of cramps this afternoon and feeling a bit nauseous. We have had a very busy day sorting things out around the house, I'm knackered. Can see me being in bed by 9. Fingers crossed our babies all come soon. Waiting is no fun!

MSMB · 19/06/2015 18:54

Hey hullabaloo I've been feeling cramps again now and has more of a show so maybe something will happen tonight.... (Hope and pray) I'm not booked in for another sweep, I'm suppose to be going for some holistic treatments on Thursday but maybe on Monday/Tuesday I may have another sweep....

I hope we all get started at the weekend though and none of this is necessary!
Good luck everyone! X

hullabaloo234 · 19/06/2015 19:09

Hi ladies! sounds promising Helen and MSMB- will be thinking of you both tonight and praying that it's starting!! Roll on tomorrow morning when I can find out if I am being induced tomorrow or not. Will be gutted if I'm not Sad DP said well, if it's not tomorrow it will only be a few more days, all bright and breezy.....I could have happily strangled him in Tesco!!

OP posts:
starfish12 · 19/06/2015 19:53
