40 weeks today (but due to being pregnant immediately following a MC I've been pregnant 11 months bar a brief 2 week interlude) and massively fed up. It's strange because I definitely did not feel like this with DC1?!

Didn't feel like getting out of bed today (or all of last week...) just want to hibernate til the baby makes an appearance.

My DM and friends keep trying to get me to go out for coffee, lunch etc but the thought of being sociable fills me with dread Sad

The constant barrage of 'anything?' texts is driving me crazy and my DP is pissing me off just by breathingHmm.

I know I am being totally unreasonable, but please tell me I'm not the only one feeling like this! Don't get me wrong, I am not depressed and I love my DP and can't wait for our baby to come but I am soooooh over being pregnant!

Come and hold my hand, please!! Grin

guiness huge congratulations! And Purple, well done to everyone who has had their babies.

I am having a bad day... Saw midwife yesterday, who wouldn't give me a sweep. I'm struggling to sleep at all at the moment, which isn't helping I don't think.

Sorry to moan Blush

MSMB · 25/06/2015 11:12

Congratulations guinness great news. I'm excited woke up today to painful contractions around every 10 minutes. Been to hospital for a check up and all seemed positive. Just been for a long walk hoping things get going and don't slow down xx

HelenF350 · 25/06/2015 11:19

Still nothing happening here. Have the midwife in the morning so will see what she says. I know I'm not due till Monday but I'm going stir crazy here. My pelvis feels like it's going to explode every time I take a step. Crutches and painkillers just aren't doing anything anymore.Hmm

Alwayswaiting · 25/06/2015 12:23

Oh that's good msmb good luck!

Same here helen nothing happening, woke up with a bit of backache, and a bit more show, but all eased off again. It's SO frustrating!!

Loiterer · 25/06/2015 16:21

Had irregular back pains all yesterday evening and last night, but they've eased off this afternoon. Poor you Helen that sounds dreadful. I've got on with today as normal which has helped not to be sitting here 'waiting' for something to happen.

Go go MSMB! How are you feeling now??

Does anyone else feel like their baby is somehow more likely to come at the weekend, and so get excited as it approaches? Grin

How did you get on Helen?

Hi ladies. I went into spontaneous labour this morning at 1.30am. I made it to the hospital for 2.30am and needed to push pretty much straight away and little man was born at 4.20am with gas and air. We're both doing well and I'm getting ready to go home now! How's everyone else doing?

HelenF350 · 27/06/2015 09:39

No sweep, no baby yet Hmm. Bump was kicking me all last night, felt like it was trying to bust out of my stomach! I keep trying to tell it that it can't get out that way! Grin Have the hospital on Tuesday by which time I'll be 40+1, really hoping baby will be here by then. I was 2cm dilated at my hospital appointment on Monday but they said my cervix was still quite long.

Purpleboa · 27/06/2015 13:30

Brilliant news always! That was quick and good that you are getting to go home - I had to stay an extra night in hospital. You must be thrilled and delighted!

Hopefully not long now to go Helen...

HelenF350 · 27/06/2015 14:08

Congratulations always, that was a very quick labour. Thanks

I keep thinking labour is going to start but then the contractions stop again Sad

JRWREN2110 · 27/06/2015 19:33

I know I am late on the uptake here, but I was just wondering how many days late all you ladies were?? I am 40+3 and I am definitely fed up and mood-swingy! So with no signs AT ALL that this baby is on it's way I may go mad. I have a midwife appointment on Monday (I will be 40+5) but I have no idea what she will say or do for me.

HelenF350 · 27/06/2015 19:40

Hi JR, welcome to the thread. I'm not officially late (39+5) but I was offered induction at 38 weeks due to severe spd (crutches since week 15) which I turned down for various reasons, hence it feels like I am overdue! I have been getting signs for the past week or two but still nothing happening. Have you had a sweep yet?

JRWREN2110 · 27/06/2015 20:42

No I haven't been offered anything yet, hoping they might offer me something this Monday! I am so sorry about your spd, I can't imagine the discomfort! I don't think I would have your restraint, I think my desperation has finally taken over (before I was like...this baby can come as late as it likes...) and I really just would like my body back, baby in arms.

HelenF350 · 28/06/2015 21:17

Fingers crossed for a sweep on Monday for you. I have the hospital in Tuesday so will see what happens then.

Loiterer · 29/06/2015 02:47

Hi all just an update. After feeling completely normal on Thursday I woke up with painful but irregular period type pains on Friday morning which became about every 15 at about lunchtime. Went into the hospital at 11pm when they were every 3 minutes and he was born at 8am with a bit of gas and air towards the end. No waters broke, he came out with them! We are now back at home and all well.

HelenF350 · 29/06/2015 04:39

Congratulations Loiterer! Thanks My uncle was born in his waters, it's supposed to be lucky. Glad you are home and doing well. I hope I'm not too far behind you. Smile
