40 weeks today (but due to being pregnant immediately following a MC I've been pregnant 11 months bar a brief 2 week interlude) and massively fed up. It's strange because I definitely did not feel like this with DC1?!

Didn't feel like getting out of bed today (or all of last week...) just want to hibernate til the baby makes an appearance.

My DM and friends keep trying to get me to go out for coffee, lunch etc but the thought of being sociable fills me with dread Sad

The constant barrage of 'anything?' texts is driving me crazy and my DP is pissing me off just by breathingHmm.

I know I am being totally unreasonable, but please tell me I'm not the only one feeling like this! Don't get me wrong, I am not depressed and I love my DP and can't wait for our baby to come but I am soooooh over being pregnant!

Come and hold my hand, please!! Grin

ouch. Been woken much earlier in the night than usual needing wee! Grumble grumble. Being pg kinda sucks by now! Come on baby...

hullabaloo234 · 20/06/2015 01:04

Sad Guiness. I can't sleep; keep worrying they are going to say the ward is too busy tomorrow so try again next week. If that happens I swear I am taking to my bed and not coming out til my induction, will be gutted. So ready for this to be over!

Any pain or twinges?!

Don't stress hulla, good luck for tomorrow. I have my fingers crossed for you that the hospital isn't too busy. Keep us updated!

I can't sleep, bump has been going mad for the last hour. I swear this baby is nocturnal, it wakes up at midnight and goes to sleep about 6am! This does not bode well for sleeping pattern once he/she is born. Blush

Purpleboa · 20/06/2015 06:42

Another one who can't sleep! Been awake most of the night. Loo trips, anxiety and back pain. Utterly, utterly fed up. Doesn't help that when you're awake in the wee hours, all sorts of doubts and worries crowd your mind. I'm scared I'll be a bad mum, that I'll let my baby down. Even been worrying about what school my child will go to, ffs!! Need to get a grip.

Hulla, I have everything crossed for you today, I really hope you get your induction. This waiting is a form of torture! I really hope this weekend brings at least one of us a baby..m

hullabaloo234 · 20/06/2015 07:05

Ahhh Helen, I'm sure your baby won't be up all night, but if it is try to enjoy your special time together just the two of you. I used to secretly enjoy the small hours with my DD Smile Hope you manged to drop off and sleep in the end x

Purple- I know it's easy for me to say but please don't worry, you'll be an amazing mum Smile worry, anxiety and feelings of guilt seem pretty standard as a parent so you may as well get used to it now Grin

Thank you for the well wishes - clock watching now for when I can call! Excited and nervous at the same time x

Any news yet hulla?

hullabaloo234 · 20/06/2015 09:02

No beds Sad actually cried like a big wuss, just so disappointed. They want me in for monitoring at 11.30 and will try and book for tomorrow instead

Poor hullabaloo...chin up. I'm lurking here as 18 years ago today I had my DS!! So I'm nostalgic and living the birth vicariously through you all. Good luck and enjoy (!) it....teenagers are awful different!

Purpleboa · 20/06/2015 09:59

Oh no hullabaloo, gutted. Hopefully a bed will become available tomorrow. So disappointing though xx

hullabaloo234 · 20/06/2015 10:19

I'm actually pathetically upset, really tearful. DP doesn't get it, he's all oj what's another few days, you'll be fine! shall we go out for lunch? Hmm Will go for monitoring at half 11, then I plan to come home, get into bed and stay there for the foreseeable Sad

MSMB · 20/06/2015 10:20

So sorry Hullaballoo must be so deflating... Hopefully tomorrow will be different xxxx

MSMB · 20/06/2015 10:22

I'm being a bit pathetic now (having a little cry) ... A friend of a friend has gone into labour today a week early.... DH just does not get it. Same theory for him of 'what's a few more days??' sigh

hullabaloo234 · 20/06/2015 10:24

They mean well but they just don't get it do they! Sorry to hear you feel sad too. I am goong to try and not lose it and cry in the hospital-don't want to show myself up lol!

Alwayswaiting · 20/06/2015 11:03

Oh Hulla, so sorry, it's disappointing after building up to today. Fingers crossed something will happen spontaneously.... Today!!

hullabaloo234 · 20/06/2015 11:30

sat waiting for my monitoring now, trying to stay positive that it will happen tomorrow.

Anything happening for anyone else? x

Fingers crossed tomorrow Hulla. Getting a lot of pressure 'down there' today... Especially when I go from sitting to standing. But it's probably just the weight of him now. No pains/cramps... What can i do to encourage him?? Very frustrating

guinnessgirl · 20/06/2015 11:42

oh hullabaloo, poor you. That is so disappointing. At least they've only delayed you one day - praying you get in tomorrow without a hitch.

always, feeling the pressure down there is a good thing, despite being mighty uncomfortable - it means that baby's in the right place and that will be moving things along Smile don't think there's anything any of us can do other than wait though Sad

I had another sweep this morning - different midwife, different experience! This one was a heck of a lot more vigorous than the first Shock so am now walking with a bit of a John Wayne stance! Hoping that it will help speed things up, but really - who knows....

Purpleboa · 20/06/2015 11:45

Nothing doing! Have had cramps but they come and go, nothing consistent. I do feel pretty yuck though, so today is a definite sofa day! Have been trying to stay active but need to give in to my exhaustion I think. In other news, managed sex last night!! Whilst it clearly did nothing for getting the party started, it did put a smile on both our faces so can't be bad :) DH has now been despatched to buy a pineapple (non sex related, I hasten to add!)

guinnessgirl · 20/06/2015 11:53

purple, don't do it! I did a whole pineapple last time and all it did was strip the lining from my mouth. Not nice. Apparently you'd need to eat at least 8 for it to work Envy

Loiterer · 20/06/2015 12:33

oh hullabaloo poor you... another few days they just don't get it do they...

Still no baby for me today. I had quite a crampy uncomfortable night, but amounted to nothing. Facebook and the dreaded DM online seems to be full of other people with babies.

Alwayswaiting · 20/06/2015 12:36

Fingers crossed guinness hope this sweep triggers something for you. The midwives are so busy in this area, I haven't been offered a sweep until a week on Sunday, the 28th. I'll be 41weeks and tearing my hair out by then!

I've just been out and bought a pineapple.... Do I need to buy another 7!?!?

starfish12 · 20/06/2015 13:28

I had my little man (Jesse) this morning!! Well he's not little was 10lb 3oz! Started contracting about 8pm, went in at 2am and had him at 9am (needed emergency forceps in the end but wasn't so bad).

Arghhhhh hull I'm so gutted for you. Just think tho your baby will arrive on father's day!!

Good luck to the rest of you. They all come eventually... mine was term + 12 and worth the wait!! X

Alwayswaiting · 20/06/2015 13:44

Congrats starfish great news!!
