Very early days I know but would love to talk to others in same situation. This is no. 3 (no. 2 was a mere 1 week fantasy last year) so am keeping this one to myself (and all of you).

Anyone else?

Hello Jimjams - this your second?

OP posts:
hana · 29/04/2004 00:25

congrats jimjams! didn't see you on ttc - so was it a complete surprise?!? Glad to have another join our small group!!

Am due 25th, but early days for me so far, the first while drags by so quickly doesn't it?

Jezebel · 29/04/2004 00:36

Congrats Smelly and JimJams!! Can't believe a Jan thread already!!! Have a rotten cold (but don't think that will cause mc). It really hurt when I sneezed earlier (afraid it would casue baby to detach). I remember painful sneezes from when I was pg with dd. I am knackered and quie weepy. Going to see GP on Thur to sak for early scan. Could have scan as early as Fri am. Scared! I would be just under 7 weeks then I think. Wonder if I should wait another week. Part of me wants to wait, part of me doesn't...

Jimjams · 29/04/2004 17:00

third nimme! But living in a different area now so everything is new. I had a lot of scans with ds2, but don't think I will get many down here.

Yep pretty much a complete surprise hana. Realised dh and I had been a bit careless, so known for the last couple of weeks. Wasn't ever this fertile when going for ds1 though (although ds2 was a mini-suprise as well).

Nimme · 30/04/2004 16:31

Jimjams - take my hat of to you. Took me 3 years to even want another...

Jezebel - I'm quite weepy as well. Really went for DH last week over something minor and then burst into tears - god I hate not being in control of emotions. I am so tired which I also hate, and nauseous and spotty and breathless and and - so definitely not a happy blooming pregnant woman...

OP posts:
hana · 30/04/2004 21:51

another weepy one here too - at the strangest of times and for no reason.
Jezebel - understand about the scan, I'll be in the same boat too. I must be a week behind you as I'll be 6 weeks on Friday. Haven't seen doctor yet, was going to on Thursday. I had a 2 hour nap this afternoon ( so glad I can nap with a reason now) nap was longer than dd's! My belly is already stretching I think and getting itchy - surely it's too early for that to happen?

Jezebel · 01/05/2004 00:20

Hi Nimme and Hana, yes. I am being very tetchy with dh at the mo. Keep accusing him of not loving me. Pathetic of me. Stressful situation for me since this is exactly the time I have lost previous pregnancies. Interesting you say you are breathless Nimme. Soam I. Makes me feel really unfit. Also bloody hurts when I sneeze. Apart from all these whinges I am happy. Didi you see that BigBird is pg and due in Jan? I am so pleased for her. I am sure it was BigBird who said on ttc thread 5 that she hoped Bunny would be the next positive lady. Next post from Bunny said that she was indeed pg. Lots of love ot you all.

Anyone going to antenatal classes.

If so when do they start and are the local NCT your only option??

OP posts:
hana · 02/05/2004 21:50

Nimme - the NHS also offer antenatal classes , but they aren't as long or comprehensive. I didn't find out about the NCT until I was about 6 motnhs pregnant and feel that I did miss out on this - but did go to the 'Parentcraft' ones held by the local hospital. I'm sure there must be other options out there - maybe other private climics or 'doulas' ??? I'm sure someone know, maybe start a new thread so more people can read it?

I am feeling utterly exhaused everyday now, and I'm just about 6 weeks. Feel sick most of the day so I'm eating little but often. Have been taking a nap with dd so far this week and that has helped. Haven't told anyone yet, but am seeing my GP on Friday just to get in the system and hopefully get some dates through for an early scan. She had talked about me attending St Mary's (Recurrent M/C Clinic) in London - so that would be a great thing.

How's everyone feeling?

lilymum · 03/05/2004 00:50

Last minute entry, just found out I'm expecting baby no. 4, December 28. Bit wobbly about it as wasn't trying, but dh thrilled, as really hoping for a boy this time (we have 3 dds already) Just know it's going to be a girl again though!!!!

Jezebel · 03/05/2004 02:21

lilymum CONGRATULATIONS!!!

florenceuk · 03/05/2004 02:25

Going to follow this thread to see if we get Xmas babies! Congrats everyone!!!

melliek · 03/05/2004 03:46

Hey all! I hope I am not too premature in doing this but my little peanut will be due on Dec 18th! Who knows if it will be a Christmas baby...or mabey someone in this thread will have a new years baby!! Good luck to all!

hana · 03/05/2004 12:18

congrats Lilysmum!! I am due the 25th so just a few days before you. There aren't many here ( I think) the Jan thread filled up very quickly before ours did!

Nimme · 03/05/2004 16:21

Lilymum and Melliek - congratulations!

Jezebel - are you going for scan this week or holding on for another week?

Nimme · 03/05/2004 16:34

Hana - thanks for info, will get onto ante-natal stuff now as I feel I need some info.

strawberry · 03/05/2004 19:42

Hello! I've just joined mumsnet and looking forward to chatting with you. I am pregnant and due 26th December, so only 5 weeks. And I feel HUGE already! This is my second baby - have boy 2 years old

lilymum · 03/05/2004 22:44

Congrats Strawberry. I feel huge too, but think that sadly that's my natural state. Hope your son isn't being too boisterous. It's so funny how tired you feel in the early weeks when nothing shows! No fair!

Jezebel · 04/05/2004 01:34

Lilymum, Melliek, Strawberry WELL DONE! Nimme I can't wait. I am going to doc tomorrow to get referral for EPU for scan hopefully Fri this week when I will be 6 weeks and 6 days. Should probably hang on but need to know/scared to know/have to know. Nervus about docs tomorrow as he said don't ttc before appointment with consultant regarding previous mcs. This appoointment took so long to come through we couldn't wait.

Whart are your plans re scan?

smellymelly · 05/05/2004 00:38

Jezebel - I left you a message on the Jan thread!!!

strawberry · 05/05/2004 12:45

jezebel - I have a 'viability' scan booked at 7 weeks but having to pay for it. Only get the 20 week scan on NHS round here.

What does everyone think about finding out if it's a boy or girl? With first baby we waited until he was born, but thinking about finding out this time....How early can they tell?

Lilymum - son is v. boisterous but quite good - no major tantrums yet but I'm sure they will happen

Nimme · 05/05/2004 13:52

Strawberry - congratulations! Am definitely finding out the sex this time. I am very nosy and only went with the surprise last time as that's what DH thought. This time it's my way - also think it can help prepare DD for arrival. I don't know how early they can tell but is normally done at 20 weks, I think?

Jezebel - I hope you have EPU scan today and that it puts your mind at rest - fill us in.
I am waiting for 12 week scan which is 24 days away - seems forever.

It may only have been for 3 weeks but I am already FED UP with feeling sick. Must eat constantly to keep at bay - and then heartburn in the evening. Unfortunately remember this going on until week 16 last time so only half way!

What are your negs?
